ATwin Cities Siding ProfessionalsIt was a fantastic experience! We contacted companies who claimed to have installed James Hardie before. These days, there is an abundance of folks who are looking for remodeling work. We settled on TCSP because their company installs only James Hardie siding. Even though their price was a little higher, we were confident they knew what they were doing and we wanted the job done right. It was a good decision. The installation crew showed up on time. They were knowledgeable and confident. They worked as a team, with no wasted motion. They were polite and when they left the site, the clean up was incredible. There was not a single item on the punch list. They even gave me a $200 credit for a window opening we eliminated, even though I had not asked for it. I have dealt with a lot of contractors in my lifetime, and the employees of TCSP are among the most caring and competent people I have ever experienced. I would do business with them again in a heartbeat.- SHARON T.

ARadon StoppersExcellent. Pat and his team did a fantastic job. He was easy to work with, very responsive to all inquiries, and was on time and got the work done in a timely manner. He and his team are extremely professional and do high quality work. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services. Overall an excellent experience with excellent results on post radon tests. Our results went from 8.2 to .7 after mitigation was in place.- mitchell k.

AAthelon EnterprisesThe company is certified to perform radon abatement - not all companies are. The owner gave us detailed information regarding: his company, our options (including diagrams), results we could expect and what other customers have experienced. The work was completed in about 1/2 day by a crew of 3 (including the owner). The owner kept us informed from the moment he walked into the house. The house interior was protected and the crew cleaned up after the work was done. (Actually, things looked better after the installation than before they arrived.) The price was very reasonable; the results were excellent. Radon level now down to 0.3 or so.- James G.

AAthelon EnterprisesOur first radon result was 10.4, which was tested by another local company. We ordered a different test (a link on Athelon's website) to confirm the number, which was 7.7 (U.S. EPA acceptable level for indoor radon is <4.0 pCi/L). We had 3 companies review our situation and provide quotes. Athelon's quote was in the middle, about $100 more which was negligible. Dan Hylland was the only one who suggested an interior route could be an option through a closet, into the attic, and through the roof (vs venting it out at essentially ground level and then running the pipe up the side of the house and 18" above the roof, which would be an eyesore). However, on the day of installation, there were a ton of obstacles that prevented them from starting the internal route right away. But Dan was super thorough and did his due diligence to make the internal route work, which was totally worth it so we don't have a 4" pipe jetting out the side of our house and upward 18" beyond the roof. Athelon did a fantastic job and I would recommend them in a heartbeat.- R L.

AAll-Star BasementsVery professional, honest and upfront from the start. We received 3 estimates and this was the best price, most knowledgeable inspector/salesman and the communication was amazing. I was very comfortable from the beginning to the end! The also came very highly recommended by my realtor and home inspector! The driveway and sidewalk were leveled to their original position perfectly. The basement wall I was worried about was anchored and the drain tile and sump pump system were installed with radon mitigation and done in less than 2 days! Everything was cleaned well and the job leader stayed in touch with me to ensure i knew what was going on and was happy with everything. Very highly recommend this company!- Jeff B.

AAthelon EnterprisesPlease learn from my earlier mistakes. In 2003 I hired a certified radon mitigation contractor after learning the radon level in my home tested at 36 pCi/L. The contractor I hired in in 2003 did not perform any diagnostic tests to see what kind of results could be expected from the installation of his system. After installing that system my radon level was cut in half, but it was still far in excess of the recommended level of 4 pCi/L or less. In 2007 I hired a different contractor to offer a solution to lower my level. The second contractor I hired (who, like the first, was listed on the Minnesota Dept of Health list of certified mitigators) came in and provided no diagnostic tests, but instead replaced my first fan with a larger unit with the hope that it would do a better job of providing sub-slab suction. The follow up test revealed my numbers had improved, but still were not acceptable. After contacting Dan Hylland at Athelon Enterprises I immediately knew this contractor was different. Dan's first recommendation was to drill a series of test holes to determine the limits of my current system. The testing provided by Athelon determined that my existing system only covered about half of my basement slab. After testing Athelon located the best available point for a second suction point, installed it and re-tested. The tests indicated that negative pressure was seen at all test holes indicating that the results of my next test should be positive. The work provided by Dan was professional, timely, and neat with great care taken to protect my home's interior floors and stairs from the many trips back and forth from his van. Not only did Athelon improve my radon reduction system he fixed a crooked exhaust pipe on my roof that was installed by my second "certified" contractor. Don't even consider a contractor who can't provide you with diagnostics, and if you are looking for a fast, friendly, cost effective installer Athelon Enterprises should be your first and only call.- Lori J.

AI researched basement waterproofing solutions and was considering doing it myself. Then I found Safe Basements and read the literature about their product/process. To me, it seemed better than other similar products. I was surprised that they cover my place -- 2 hours into Wisconsin, or 3 hours from Litchfield. Brad came out to inspect the problems in my basement -- horizontal cracking, bowing, and water intrusion. He was able to explain the causes of those problems as well as others that I hadn't noticed. We agreed to pay for anchors to stabilize one wall that was bowing, and install drain tile and a sump pump. I'll be honest, I didn't shop around. I have no idea what other companies are charging for the same services. I normally get 3 or 4 bids or other opinions. I felt comfortable with the amount of research that I'd done, the knowledge Brad seemed to have, and the information about the products that I decided to hire Safe Basements without talking to other companies. I don't regret that decision. The wall anchor/stabilization crew called me before leaving Litchfield. Their ETA was pretty close to the actual time of arrival. When they arrived, we discussed the work being done. They did the work. They cleaned up. They gave me information about the anchor system and what I needed to do to correct the bowing and cracks. Everything was done as expected. The drain tile/sump crew was stuck at a previous job. They called me the day before (Tuesday) my job was expected to start to let me know there would be a delay starting my job. He then called in the middle of the start day (Wednesday) to let me know, they wouldn't be to my house until the next day. I was expecting a call between 7 and 8 on Thursday to let me know they were leaving Litchfield. Instead, I got a call at about 7:15 to let me know they were 15 minutes from my house. When they arrived, we talked about the work to be done, they cocooned my stuff in plastic, and they went to work. I think they worked until about 7 that day. They returned on Friday at about 8:30, having stopped to dump my concrete and dirt and to pick up gravel and concrete. They worked until about 10:30pm on Friday. I appreciated that they finished on Friday even though it was later than I expected. They cleaned up everything thoroughly, and walked me through the details of the sump pump and battery backup systems. Even though they'd driven a long distance, worked two very long days, and it was very late Friday, I didn't feel they rushed through. The job was complete. I think they would have stayed later if I'd had anymore questions. Unfortunately, one of the workers left his very nice tape measure, and I have not been able to get it back to him.

FHorrible The experience was awful with this people. I didn't know this company at all, my insurance company send me a list of 5 general contractors to take care of my house, so I pick J Benson because they were close to my house and I want it to keep the contractor local and close. So I went with them. They send an estimator like one day after the damage of the house, I signed the paperwork and two days later they send a different person because the first guy had previews commitments, so that was the first red flag. The second estimator took a lot more pics of the house and did he's first estimate, he submitted to the adjuster and it passed just fine. But then it took them almost one whole month before any one started to work in my house, not a single nail was removed or anything. Then I found out that numerous contractors were going in and out of my house with out me knowing it. Finally the work started and the job "foreman" got involved, this guy was even worst, he only called and picked up the phone when he need it something for me other ways good luck trying to get a hold of him. This guy should be FIRED and never allowed to work on the field again. One day I called him and he's answer was "what do you need, I am kind of busy right now" Awesome. Then I asked for an estimate to build a brand new bathroom in the basement. The estimator give me he's quote and we agreed on the price, so they started the project about one month after the paperwork was signed. About 80% of the work was done when I found out that the estimator "FORGOT" to add the toilet and the tub on the estimate!!!!!! How can any one do that????? So I had to came up with that $$$ And then there was the communication with office personnel. Since day one right after I signed the paperwork I offer to give them money, the estimator said "some one from the office will contact you" NO one ever did, weeks went by with out a single person contacting me about money. Finally some one did and every time we communicated there was a mistake with the numbers, every time there was an "I am sorry I forgot" Unreal this people. A couple of weeks before the project was done and I was super upset with every one involved at this point I requested a supervisor. He reached out to me and we meet at my house. He right away start asking me for money, I pretty much lost my cool there and I went off about all of the issues I was having with he's people. He's answer " I am sorry I wasn't aware of the issues" This shows how unprofessional this company is I can't believe how this people are in business not only in the twin cities but in southern Minnesota.

Recent Review:
FJust like the other reviewer on here, done in 45 minutes. Carpet was ‘crunchy’ afterward as was furniture. Took 2 days to fan dry furniture as it was sopping wet. Once dry, does not look cleaned. Furniture is now rough. Typically when carpet is ‘cleaned’ high traffic area pile is ‘lifted’, everything was even more packed down. I have tried multiple times to reach out to the owner, she denies and throws out a bunch of questions like she has no idea what I’m talking about. Have asked for our money back but she’s not acknowledging that and has now blocked me on Facebook. Too good to be true, it definitely was. Very poor customer service as well. I messaged shortly after to say we were not satisfied and never heard back. Buyer beware!!!
