    Due to severe storms and some unknown issue had many issues with reception. Rick was awesome, he showed up on time set everything up perfectly. Actually my reception is about 25 channels better then before the storm, and the tv picture is terrific. I did email Rick and it did take about 2 days for him to reply, he called left a message. I called and Rick was available right away.

    Not real thrilled with century link.When you call to say you have slow internet and it loads and loads without doing much they say it will cost so much for the tech to come out and if the problem is your wiring it is so much per 15 minutes to pay for it.  Scares you off to even have them out. Ended up after 2 months of super slow internet we bit the bullet and called for tech to come.  Internet was hooked backwards that was why so slow. Works fine now.  Still didn't like customer service though.

    The cost for my cable TV service rose by $10, which isn't too bad, except they claim it is a special rate because they raised their rates by $10. The back-breaker is that they raised their internet service by over 50%. They can do this because they are pretty much the only game in town. Changing providers would mean a penalty fee from them and start-up costs from a new provider.

    The Good:

    I had a laptop that wouldn't charge and it appeared to me the problem was a loose power socket on the laptop, which I assumed might have to be replaced. RB's diagnosed that the only problem was that the power brick had died.

    The Bad:

    They charged me a full hour's service fee for the 5 min diagnosis. There is a big sign on the wall that clearly states the one hour fee is the minimum charge. Were they within their rights to charge me almost $100 for a 5 min diagnosis? Absolutely. Do they have a repeat customer? Absolutely not.

    He was good about communicating and came on time.  He spent a lot of time talking with my husband about computers.  The wifi worked on both computers, but then stopped on the second computer after a few days.  We tried to call back, but we failed to follow up with him.

    The installation guy was on time, he checked our system since it had already been in place before us, he treated our house like it was his own- no drilling holes in the siding/walls- my husband was very pleased with Charter!

    I was happy with the work that they did. They were kind of hard to get a hold of though. I left them messages a couple of times and nobody called me back. But, when I finally left them a message saying why doesn't anybody ever call me back then they called me back. That was mildly annoying. But otherwise, the work was good. I was happy with everything they did.

    I called Tech-Toads based on the ratings & feedback from previous customers (found on Angie's List). I talked with Dan and briefly explained what was going on with my computer. It was locking up frequently, sometimes we would have to force a shutdown, the fan would run constantly if we were on the computer for any length of time, and eventually it was not allowing us to start up without hitting the F1 key. Overall just extremely messed up. Dan asked me some questions about my system and determined that it sounded like a Vista malfunction. We brought it in for a diagnostic check. They let us know what they discovered within 24 hrs - as they said they would. It ended up being a problem with the hard drive. Don't remember the exact words they used but the hard drive was failing and it wasn't going to get any better. So they gave us an estimate on replacing the hard drive, installing Windows 7, saving our data and cleaning up the system. They quoted us $347 to do all of that, then needed to add 1 GB of memory for an additional $30.
    They were most helpful from the moment we walked in the door. Marc did a fabulous job of keeping us informed on the progress. We had our computer back within 72 hrs. They had even given us other options if we didn't want to put the $ into our old system. So after we discussing the options we decided to go with the repair of our existing system - which was the least expensive route for us. I have no regrets, it runs like a brand new machine! Marc said it would, and it does! We are very pleased with the work that was done. And here's the bonus...I had been waiting to install CorelDRAW X5 on the computer, so when I attempted to do this and it wasn't working for me - it kept bringing me to an error message - I called Tech-Toads and Marc went to the remote connection - so I didn't have to bring my system back to them - and he tried the installation for me and went thru everything he could to determine the problem. It ends up it's a problem with my Corel disc, which is what he thought from the beginning. He did this with no extra charge.
    I found both Dan and Marc to be very informative, helpful, up front & honest. Our experience with them was extremely professional, yet very comfortable. We will continue to bring ALL of our computer issues and questions to them. They show integrity and honesty; qualities that are all too rare these days. I highly recommend them to everyone!
