ALittle Blind SpotWe have used Little Blind Spot five different times to install shades in five different rooms. Always reasonable prices, prompt responses, excellent product quality and service. No problems at all. Very professional. We don't even bother to get other quotes.- Thomas F.

ALittle Blind SpotEverything went very well and I am very satisfied with the new HunterDouglas blind. It is so easy to use and looks so nice. Michelle was great in coming out to do a quote and show me samples. It didn't take long at all, and she was gone in a very short time. Since you were so busy as so many folks were doing household projects during this pandemic, it took a little longer to have it installed, but the installer was extremely professional and did a great job. I now have all HunterDouglas or Silloutte blinds in my home and am so happy.- Charlotte W.

ACraftsman's Choice IncWe have used this vendor before in replacing some sliding glass doors. We had such a good experience then that they were our preferred vendor on this project. Keith worked with us over several days to pick out the door we needed and liked the best. He provided several choices in which he clearly explained the pros and cons of each choice as well as our options. The door arrived on the day they stated and the crew arrived on time and on the day agreed to. The crew did a fantastic job. They were friendly and very professional. The work was done quickly and with great care. The job site was cleaned up; you would not have known that there had been any construction done there. What we have always like about this contractor is the little extra value they provide. They took a pair of shutters off the house and painted them to match the color of the door. We had asked for the matching paint when we placed the order but had planed to do the work ourselves. This type of little extra service puts them in a special class. We were delighted with our new door and again with this company. We would use them again.- Rick G.

ACraftsman's Choice IncSummary of construction experience: Completely positive! Excellent communication by all! 100% trustworthy! High Quality! I would absolutely hire Craftsman?s Choice again. In more detail: I started looking for a contractor in March, 2013 to handle removing and replacing roof shingles, removing a chimney fireplace bump out wall, replacing some cedar siding, and removing and replacing windows. After meeting with at least 6 contractors who I found via other internet review sites I was having no luck finding a business who I felt confident in hiring. Some did not respond with quotes (SELA was one of them), some could not handle all parts of the project, one was just a terrible high-pressure sales man, and another offered a super great deal on "low end" materials along with plans to repair rotten cedar siding by just painting over the rot. This is when I decided to join Angie?s list. After reading hundreds of reviews I called Craftsman?s Choice, spoke with Amber, and was quickly scheduled to meet with Mike to discuss the projects. Mike is a no-pressure sales guy with great remodeling ideas an loads of experience-based knowledge about building materials. He responded quickly with a quote, then Matt was promptly out to measure, and soon after we were making progress on the projects. The roof was done with GAF Woodland Designer Series shingles in the color Castlewood Gray by a roofing crew of fellows who were smiling while they were sweating through the 95+ degree weather. YOU should check out the look of these shingles ? they are unique and stunning on a steep pitched roof! Ryan, Joel and Beau tackled the chimney-fireplace tear down, removing and replacing windows, framing in two new very large Marvin windows, and installing new rough cedar siding where it was needed to match the rest of the house exterior. Aside from Joel?s very mediocre singing-to-the-radio skills, these are three great guys who do great work! Ryan was the project manager on this part of the job ? he was on site often, handling material needs and dealing well with project changes and conversations when house issues were discovered. After this job finished, project manager Chris Overson took over along with Chris and Dave to handle the patio door install project and the interior oak trim. Again ? three more great guys who do impressive work! Through the months of projects we did run into some unforeseeable situations; which, if you have had any experience with home projects or if you watch any home improvement TV shows, you know that construction projects can be unpredictable and sometimes things happen that turn one project into another project. Working with contractors through these types of difficult situations is how you really learn about the people you are dealing with? and this is how I learned what makes the Craftsman?s Choice really great! Ben, owner, instantly involved himself in situations that required extra attention. He was consistently motivated to do what was right, to make things right, and to make sure that we were pleased with the progress and the results. I can?t say enough sincere words about Ben ? he was truly a pleasure to work with. Also, project manager Chris O. was always on top of everything ? he was attentive to all of the projects going on, always offering to help his team, to deliver building materials, or to haul away my own debris from unrelated interior sheetrock projects when he was in the area. These people go out of their way to take care of their customers ? and you always know that they care, because they do.- Christina J.

ABlindsgaloreI purchased a large amount of blinds from Blinds Galore, to redecorate my home. The selection of blinds was great; the price was best around (particularly during oft-repeated manufacturer discounts). And it was easy to order, since the Blinds Galore representative was very knowledgeable, and patient through various re-work of the order. Finally, Blinds Galore was accommodating beyond expectation, for correcting mistakes that I had made in the order, not realized until after the order was delivered.- Robert W.

ALittle Blind SpotMy husband and I hired Little Blind Spot when we needed to choose window coverings for our new home. We were more than pleased with the help we received and with the quality of the products they carry. We wanted to hire professionals because we have no expertise in this area and we were very satisfied with the help Little Blind Spot gave us. They were knowledgeable and provided us with excellent assistance both in their store and in our home when we finalized our decisions. Also, the young man who installed our coverings was very skilled and did a lovely job. Thank you Little Blind Spot!- Mark & Nancy W.

AD S Bahr Construction IncThe roof was falling down they tore down and completely rebuilt the room. They did a wonderful job and we are really happy with it. AMark the owner of the business came out and gave the quote. It was a breath of fresh air to talk with him compared to haggling with the commissioned "slicksters" from Champion & Great Lakes and their "this pricing is only good today" pressure tactics. Mark gave us the best price right up front, and utilized full frame Heartland windows when everyone else was quoting inserts. I had a couple of extra items done that the others wouldn't even quote. The installer was punctual, courteous, and an obvious craftsman. The Heartland windows look great inside and out. I couldn't be happier!

AChris has done two major jobs for me: a remodel of my bathroom (tile wrap around, ceiling, etc.) last year and a repair from major water damage to the ceiling of my living room and kitchen this summer. Both jobs were done excellently on a good timeline and with very fair pricing. He is extremely responsive and we went over the whole plan together. The work is great and he is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Brothers Contracting.

AFirst of all I will say that I LOVE everything about my kitchen and dining room and would not change a thing! The beautiful results are due to all the excellent people at Stonehearth. Starting with Chad the sales/estimator. He could see the big picture and moved me along in my initial plans. I will say I had planned on spending a lot less than I did but I am glad I invested in the quality. Doing less would have been costly but a minimal upgrade from what I had in my small galley kitchen and not a good investment. Cathy the designer was fantastic she could see improvements way beyond what I envisioned. I would absolutely say do NOT even consider a kitchen remodel with out her services! Her keen eye made all my choices so much easier and beautiful. Her detailed kitchen plan and computer generated pictures helped me see what could be. It was a pleasure working with her. The project manager Shawn was the primary person responsible for keeping the whole project on schedule, at several points he had to jump in and do the work to keep us going. In addition he was a pleasure to have around and was gracious in ensuring my 2 cats were comfortable and safe. The owner Greg came to consult with cabinet installers when an issue arose. Jenna communicated with me and had the maintenance of the project plan and the ordering of my choices with vendors. Bonnie has communicated with me and was on time sending out those invoices on time! One piece of advice I would have is that the whole process is detailed and takes time. Allow plenty of time for your project from the time of making an appointment with Chad to the closing.

AIt was wonderful. They chipped out the cracks and holes in the stucco siding. Put in new lath and then re-stuccoed and it matches the old stucco extremely well. After we get it painted I don't think we'll be able to see the difference. They put tape and plastic everywhere and cleaned up the debris, even blew the dust off the sidewalk. It cost a little more than they bid, but that's expected in doing repair on an old house. You don't know how much needs to be removed until you start and see what's loose. The extra cost was less than I guessed it would be, based on the time spent.

AThere are no visible seams! I have had only their carpet installed in my home for the past 40 years,Every person was professional and most importantly the installers were respectful of my home and woodwork.Last year I bought the exact same carpet as Schneider company from a very high end store as they were running big rebate sale.Big mistake! There were seams that were not hidden and was told they would settle down with vacuuming. This did not happen intact an unseen seam had actually appeared.Yes I saved a thousand dollars in rebates but I will never again buy carpet from anyone except The Schneider Company Carpet One again! They simply are the best!

AWe hired Eric to remodel our 90+ kitchen. He gutted it almost completely, rebuilt the floor, back stairs, and parts of the walls, put in new arches to match the original nook arches, added a "mud nook," installed cabinets, tiled, painted, added crown molding, and built base board that echoed the original int he front of the house, and served as gen contractors for all the subs. He also finished the ceiling in the basement and painted all. The final product is beautiful. It wasn't an easy job either. Our old house provided plenty of challenges, but Eric was a good communicator, explaining the problems and working together to figure out how best to address them. He did a beautiful job on the arches, and dealing with a challenging, wonky ceiling that needed extensive work to level out, and the nook with great looking wood work and careful attention to detail. The overall project took longer than planned do to some unforeseen challenges with the house, and changes we wanted to make along the way, but he was always responsive and helpful. As general contractor there were a few issues, particularly with the stove, that weren't clearly understood or defined, but his subs helped worked through them and all turned out well. I think that's the theme of Eric's work - he was there to make sure the problems were addressed directly and the work done completely and well. I appreciate his persistence, his guidance, and his ideas on improving on our vision. We now have a well organized, beautiful kitchen that's getting a ton of use!
