    Rochester Plumbing
Was charged over $1400 to add four hangers to an existing dryer vent run, move a gas line one pocket over in the basement, add a 10' water line run to a new refrigerator, and to reconfigure grey water for new kitchen sink and install new faucet. Work was done properly, but you are going to pay through the nose...

    Jim Siebenaler Construction
Let me start off by saying I met Jim Siebenaler after reading his profile on Angie?s list and contacting him about my project. My
opinion is that Jim is a genuinely good person and someone you can depend upon to get your project done to your specifications. He will show up when he says he will show up, he will complete the job you give him and he will not charge you for extra things to jack up your bill. In short I will testify that Jim Siebenaler is a professional that will work with you.

Here?s some background, I needed a general contractor for an extensive home remodeling project that included having a new well drilled, new septic installed, flooring, plumbing, framing/sheetrock and extensive electrical work. The loan I received required the use of an independent general contractor and I had zero experience.

So, I turned to Angie?s list for help. I reviewed the listings and narrowed it down to 7 or 8 contractors based on user comments & rates and proceeded to contact each by phone. I was somewhat awkward with my explanation of what I was looking for and all of the bigger outfits told me they were not interested, in spite of this being ultimately a $66,000 project (Jim's portion of the bill was about $30,000). Jim Siebenaler responded back to me 1 hour after I left a message and met me at my home that night at 8:00 when I got home from work. Right from the start Jim helped me to scope out exactly what we needed to get done and sort out the sequence in which the tasks had to be completed.

The loan was a 203K HUD loan which translates into a nightmare of paperwork, mutiple signatures and delayed draws which meant Jim had to display patience and trust in the process. Jim was a professional at all times, if Jim said he was going to complete this phase of the project on a particular day it would get done. If Jim said it was going to be this much money, that?s how much it was. When we had a problem with the plumber?s installation of a piece of junk water heater, Jim addressed the problem removed the cost of both the work and the water heater and resolved the issue on our behalf.

As a first time Angie?s list user I hired Jim on good faith after our first meeting and I would encourage anyone else to do the same or contact me and I will be happy to provide more information about this experience. As a matter of fact I have already asked Jim to provide me with an estimate for upgrading my previous house to meet rental code. From here on out I have my contractor for my projects big and small.

    Tonna Mechanical
We have been extremely happy with anything they’ve ever done for us.  They’re always here when say they are going to be here. They clean up well after themselves.  Our utility room is a very tight space and they did a really great job making the units work within that space and explained to us what would work best.  They were very good about this.  Another reason we went with Tonna Mechanical is we had called a different company who never came out; Tonna Mechanical came right out.  We did have one issue after the installation due to an issue with the manufacturer, and they came out right away to take care of it. Their prices are in-line other companies.  We would and have recommended their service to others.

    Ferguson Plumbing
Hot water stopped flowing to our master shower and all water stopped flowing to our downstairs bath. Ferguson plumbing was called and came out many times trying to resolve the problem. He cut an opening in our master bath wall, replaced our expensive upstairs shower faucets with cheaper faucets. He asked that we have someone check the well pressure and the softener. We did that and those were fine. Ferguson wasn't able to resolve the problem and we ended up calling someone else who was immediately able to resolve.
Resolution: The Hot Water element was disintegrating causing particles to clog the faucets. Our faucets didn't need to be replaced! In addition, particles were found in the pipes where Ferguson had soldered the pipes putting in the new faucet. It was very simple since it was only the hot water that wasn't working. Ferguson thought it was an issue with the faucet itself, replacing the faucet when the issue was with the hot water heater and particles flowing through the pipes.
I would love to have my expensive faucets back and the hole in my wall that he cut fixed.
