  • I did pay extra for nitrous oxide but staff made me fell very comfortable, asked how I was doing frequently and also informed me of what they were going to do before they did it. I have been going to this dentist office for 27 years because of the exemplary service and loving care of  staff.

  • Dr. Goldsmith and his staff all took a careful look at my husband's mouth, and verified that there was indeed a chipped tooth.  They explained the alternatives for care, with some immediate options, and others to consider if we wanted to wait until we returned to our northern home in the summer.

    My husband decided to leave it all alone and see how things went.  As it turned out the chipped tooth became a bigger problem, so he returned to the doctor to have it pulled.

    Dr. Goldsmith did a very careful and efficient removal of the tooth.  There was neither pain nor nasty aftereffects. 

    We definitely recommend him and his assistants and office personnel to anyone in search of a good dental practice.

  • Dr Schafhauser doesn't up-sell or try to offer unnecessary treatments. He's and his staff are honest and make practical recommendations. Now we bring our kids here (started them around 4 years old) and the hygienists do a great job!

  • Dr. Anderson is our family dentist. She does a good job, and refers us to very good specialists when need be. We are very happy with the services she provides to us. There are a lot of bad dentists out there. She is one of the good ones.

  • I've been more than happy with Dr. Paul E. Nelson. He is a very gentle dentist, he really cares about his patients, he takes good care of you, and his staff are professional. They have a class act over there and have used Dr. Nelson for 10 years. It's easy to make appointments and if you do have a problem he'll get you in the same day.

  • I have been going here for the past few years every six months. I have always had a good experience with both the hygienists and Dr. Bruce. Wish they had more extended hours or weekend hours, but they really are a top notch practice and so I'm willing to take time off work to go see them!

  • I was there for my 6 month cleaning.  Most of the staff if very friendly and accomodating.  I really like all the hygenists there, they are very friendly and  professional.  Dr. Tessar is also very friendly.  Interactions with him are very brief.  The thing I don't like about Tessar dental now is that they have turned it into and dental/cosmetic/botox place.  You walk in and feel like your in the cosmetic section of a department store, which I don't care for.  It is not a very kid friendly place either.  We use to take our kids there, but now take them to a pediatric dentist.  Not a kid friendly atmosphere.  Overall it's a good dentist.  We stay there because of the great hygentists, and really the do most of the work anyway.

  • Dr. Tessar is a great guy. He's fun and personable. As a dentist he's very good at what he does. Unfortunately, the business side of his practice needs a LOT of work. The service is sloppy and uncoordinated. After having a routine exam and cleaning, the hygenist recommended I have two cavities filled. I received an estimate for the services for both out of pocket and what insurance would cover. They also called my insurance company (or so they told me) and received preauthorization for the work. I prepaid my portion up front and scheduled the session to have two cavities filled. 6 weeks later I received a collection letter from Dr. Tessar's office stating I hadn't paid for services. I called back and asked them to lookup my prepayment. The office person assured me it was a mistake and everything was fine with my account. A few weeks later I received another demand notice. I called back again and a new office person (the old one had resigned apparently) told me that insurance didn't cover what was estimated even though it was preauthorized and there was a balance do. That was no problem, I understand how insurance work and these happen. I asked why they didn't just send out a bill or call me. Their records indicated they had sent two bills out that I didn't respond to. Now come on, I've never had a lost piece of mail in my life. Now supposedly there were 2 bills? I don't buy it. I asked for more information but the new person said the previous billing speciailist didn't keep very good records and she said to be honest it was entirely possible that the bills were never sent out. I paid the bill over the phone with my credit card immeadiately. I was still upset that I could have possibly taken a hit to my credit due to their sloppy office keeping. I was assured that the problem was resolved and it wouldn't happen in the future. Except it did... Many months later I went in for a root canal. I had exactly the same billing experience. Preauth'd with insurance, prepaid with my credit card, and I paid a final bill at the time of service. I still received no additional bills but got a collection notice later. I called back and they confirmed there was no balance and couldn't explain why they were trying to continue to bill me. The office person hypothesized that since the payment portion from the insurance company hadn't come it yet that perhaps the billing system was thinking I was overdue because of that. What an uncoordinated office! My final issue was in referring my mother and brother. I was supposed to receive a giftcard for referring them. Never got it. My mother inquired about it on a follow-up visit and they promised to send it. I still haven't received it. This is now three months later. Overall, I really like Dr. Tessar but I won't go back due to the way he runs his practice. Ultimately, he is responsible for his business and staff - and it needs work.
