    Ouverson Sewer & Water Inc
A hole was found in my main sewer line during a yearly sewer clean out. I was referred to Ouverson Sewer and Water as a less expensive option than digging up my entire sewer line. Ouverson was able to line my sewer line by digging a minimal hole in my front yard. The job was delayed a couple times due to weather, but once they started it went well. They arrived with a larger team and were very professional throughout the entire process. They covered up the toilets and sinks inside the house to ensure no mess in the house during the repair and cleaned it all up after the job was completed. They were very careful in the front yard with the digging and put the sod back that they removed over the hole they dug. After they completed their work, most people would not be able to even know a hole had been dug in my yard. It was not cheap, but definitely the more cost effective method rather than digging up the entire line. It was worth the price I paid though based on the quality of their work and professionalism that they showed throughout the process.

    Cichy's Water & Sewer
My sewer had backed up into my basement and the cause appeared to be a collapsed liner. Hired Mark to replace it and was quoted $3,300. They did the work in August 2013. They had to dig through a corner section of my cement driveway and I was told they would pour new cement and it would be as it was. They replaced the liner and poured new cement in the corner. I noticed the new cement was white with a rough surface as opposed to the grey color and smooth surface of the previous cement. The new cement also chipped easily. I then received the bill, which was for $5000. Mark said it was a more difficult job than he thought it would be. I decided I was just happy to have it done and paid it.
Winter came and went and when the snow had melted the dirt and cement they had poured had sank. I called Cichy's and was told that was normal and that someone would be out to fix it. After about 10 days, I noticed that someone had dumped some dirt and a lot of small rocks in the corner, and of course the rocks got into mine and my neighbor's yards. After a few weeks I called again to find out when someone would be over to fix the cement. Mark told me he wasn't a cement guy, this wasn't an issue when when he was being hired and he was telling me what he was going to do. He basically told me he did it the cheapest way possible and he would have to check around to see how much to charge me to fix it. He never called me back, and in September 2014 I hired someone else to fix the cement. When the new guy looked at the cement poured by Cichy's, he shook his head and said they didn't do a very good job. When this guy had redone it, the cement was a light grey in color and smooth. After the snow melted this past winter, the new cement had stayed in place.
The things that most disappointed me was the cheap job they did on the cement, especially after paying $1700 more than I was quoted. And then blowing me off when I asked them to fix it.

The recommendation was more than we wanted to do. They found that we were  really doing the job correctly that we were trying to accomplish. They were very efficient and they knew their business. They really didn't come out the second time. They responded quickly. They came out very quick.

    Weld & Sons Plumbing
We had water damage in our basement and I was concerned that the sump pump was not working correctly afterwards. We have never had a house with sump pump before, so I felt a bit out of my depth regarding what questions to ask and what to expect. I chose Weld & Sons because they are a local, family-owned business and I sensed that would be helpful due to our lack of previous experience with these types of repairs. I was not disappointed.
I called Weld & Sons on a Tuesday mid-day and spoke with the woman who answered the phone - she was friendly and patient as I explained our situation. She took down my information and within 30 minutes I had a call back from Mark to schedule service. We set up an appointment for the next morning between 9 and 11. While on the phone, he answered all of my questions and outlined expected costs up front (service call charge, rate per hour, cost of a pump, average time to install one, etc).
The plumber called before coming over, just before 10 am, and arrived at 10:15. He looked over our setup and determined that the pump was not working correctly and that the drain pipe outside needed replacing. These were both expected results, so we discussed what it would take to replace those items. Again, he outlined all the expected costs, being sure to include the small bits of miscellaneous parts that would be needed to complete the job.
The work was completed within 1.5 hours, and he cleaned up all the areas he used before he left. After completion, he showed me all the parts and explained what other maintenance steps we can take to care for our new pump. The price was right what we expected from doing the rough math earlier and I was able to keep our pump, in case we need it for the insurance claim.
The whole team at Weld & Sons was professional and respectful. They were clear and direct, and I never felt like they were pushing an agenda. They listened to my questions and answered all of them, making sure I had understood things at each step. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work done in the northwest metro. I am keeping their magnet on our fridge for future work.

We had estimates from three recommended repair services.  Kevin was the only one to do an on sight inspection before giving an estimate. They were always punctual and courteous.  Cleaned up afterwards.  Paid a lot of attention to detail.

They were great and they gave me a bid right away for emergency service. They were prompt and did a good job and were able to pull the sod up and replaced the sod to make it look like they didn't even touch it. They also stayed until the inspector came.

GENE'S WATER AND SEWER WERE QUICK TO RETURN MY CALL AND COMPLETED AN ESTIMATE WITHIN 24 HOURS. VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL AT EXPLAINING WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. THEY SET UP THE WORK TO BE DONE THE NEXT WEEK. THE WORKERS WERE VERY NICE AND POLITE. THEY SHOWED ME THE DAMAGED PIPE AND ADVISED THE CONNECTION OF PIPE ACTUALLY CONNECTING TO CITY LINE WAS FULL OF ROOTS AND SHOULD BE CLEARED OUT. THEY PROVIDED A BUSINESS CARD OF A COMPANY IN CASE I DIDN'T KNOW ANYONE. ALTHOUGH IT WAS REALLY DEPRESSING TO HAVE MY YARD DUG UP AND PAY THE COST OF REPLACEMENT, THEY ARE A VERY GOOD COMPANY TO WORK WITH AND THEY KEPT IT AS PAINLESS AS POSSIBLE.
