    Nick's Tree Service
Nick's was the service chosen by the City to cut down a silver maple in our front yard that was a boulevard tree. They completed the work cutting down this tree that had a trunk that was five feet across. The stump was removed completely and almost all of the broken branches were cleaned up. They spoke to us about the cost of privately removing another tree, so we know their fees are reasonable.

    NILLISSEN TREE SERVICES
Scott was awesome to work with. We had a huge Willow tree trunk that needed to be further cut down to be able to split the wood. Scott made very quick work of the tree! He was a pleasure to work with, very knowledgable, and professional. Would highly recommend him for anyone looking for any type of tree service work.

    Dynasty Tree Experts
Outstanding work removing very large trees in difficult locations near house and other obstacles. Matt and team were very professional, doing quality work in a timely manner. They were very detailed in their clean up and things look great. I am very pleased with the work done and recommend them to others.

    SeasonGreen Turf Management
I'm so glad I found Him and Season Green! I recently moved to Florida but have two small apartment buildings. He and his crew are true professionals. They take care of the grounds pick up garbage in the grass and or shrubs "not just run over it" he communicates via phone and email with pictures and updates of when he is coming and leaving. Price is fair especially that I don't have to worry about the work getting done and done right. Thanks Jim!

    Pro Star Tree Care LLC
Our experience with Pro Star Tree Care LLC was a good one. We were referred to Randy by a neighbor who was also having their trees trimmed. His bid was competitive, he came when he said he would and all work was completed quickly and as expected. I thought they did an especially nice job of cleaning up - I didn't have to pick up as much as a twig afterwards. We will plan to have Pro Star back when our trees need their next trimming.

    Nelson Tree And Landscaping
First, I'll note that this is a review of the business owned/operated by Josh and Jeff Nelson. It seems there are other Nelson Tree services and no address was provided to me nor on their materials. I'll also note that I'm a master gardener (not currently active) with additional college courses in horticulture and dendrology. Josh Nelson knocked on my door offering tree and shrub services during an early spring warm spell. We discussed the work to be done: trim some tree branches in front, remove dying evergreen shrubs & remove stumps, "corrective pruning" of remaining shrubs. I asked if he knew how to trim shrubs correctly and he responded "yes, ma'am." I described cutting out a third of the oldest branches of shrubs such as forsythia at ground level; "Yes ma'am." Josh provided a quote, I said I'd get some more bids and let them know. Josh came back to my door twice, each time offering a lower price so I agreed they could do the work that day. I'll note that their marketing materials imply that they're arborists but I now see that it doesn't say "certified arborists." The tree limbs were trimmed, 4 dying evergreens removed. The back shrubs were shaped rather than pruned. The arborvitaes were cut off flat at top although this had not been discussed. I went outside to discuss what was happening and how it should be done. Josh told me that the previously existing conical shapes at the top of arborvitaes gets broken during heavy snow (not so: the conical shape allows snow to fall off; a flat top creates a landing place). I was pressured for a check when they were not yet done and I relented. Josh said they couldn't get the stumps removed due to existing snow, and to call them back when all the snow had melted. As soon as I handed Josh the check they were gone. I went out to look at the work and was very dissatisfied. I left them a voice message saying that I was cancelling the check, which I did because the work specified on the contract had not been completed and much of the work had been done incorrectly. Josh called me back to tell me how upset his wife would be. Josh and his father came back and rounded the tops of the hacked off arborvitae. They said to call them during better weather for the stump removal and to cut out the remaining dead shrubs. Jeff Nelson asked me to write out a statement saying they'd return to finish when I call, and he signed the statement. Stupidly, I wrote out a replacement check after talk about integrity and how they'd rather deal with men than women. I've now called four times for them to return and finish the work. Jeff answered the third time I called and said they'd been out of town. We scheduled a day for them to return but they didn't show and haven't returned my latest call. I'm contemplating the next course of action. I have done some of the pruning properly myself and will need to hire someone for the remaining work; I may file in small claims court for the additional fees I incur. In sum, they are not knowledgeable, lack integrity, and do not finish overcharged (but paid) work.

    Hennessy's Stump Grinding
Mr. Hennessy did a great job. He ground the stump well into the ground. I was easily able to repair the lawn. He did the work on the day promised, and at the price we agreed on. I'm happy to recommend his work to the community.

    G & M Services/ Joseph Gosiak/ Joe Gosiak
The work was done well, but they were short staffed because part of their crew was down in Florida working on the hurricane recovery. It took longer than usual, but they were apologetic, friendly, skilled and cleaned everything up well.

    Minnesota Tree Experts
After finding Minnesota Tree Experts and emailing them, AJ called me to introduce himself and offer their assistance. He came out to provide an estimate and then worked with me to find the best time to come out - a time that worked well with my schedule and a time when they already planned to be in the area. He and his team came out, trimmed our trees and cleaned up. They were very professional and efficient, answered all the questions I had (and the questions my neighbor had about our tree hanging into their yard) and took the time to teach me about the importance of keeping trees healthy. Everything was very straight forward and there is a high likelihood we will hire Minnesota Tree Experts in the future.

    FRAN'S TREE SERVICE
Fran's did an excellent job, avoided damaging all the flower gardens in the back yard better than expected, cleaned everything up like they weren't even there, would definitely recommend their services and would hire again in an instant.
