    Twin City Home Remodeling LLC
Tear out dust was contained. Project was laid out in an orderly fashion and coordinated with sub contractors on time. Supervisor checked in with us several times during project to see that we were satisfied with the workmanship and results. Worked with us to remove vanities for painting and large mirror and reinstalled them later in the project.

    Anton's Floorcovering LLC
Anton was great to work with. He guided us through the process of what wood would look best in our house, communicated regularly before and during the project and also provided all we needed for the insurance claim. A pleasure to work with.

Bob put down a brand new wood floor and base boards in the upstairs of our house. He used this awesome oak with a lot of beautiful color variation. I was pregnant at the time so he advised us to use a water based finish and worked quickly so I could get back home soon. The shining star of his work was our staircase which he did in two colors so that the risers are a dark walnut and the steps a golden oak it looks awesome. I would highly recommend his work!

    Anton's Floorcovering LLC
It went very well. Anton was very helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. He had a lot of great ideas. He responded to my e-mails right away, and did the installation in a very timely manner. Anton and his crew did a great job. We couldn't be happier with their work, and would definitely work with them again.

    Becker Carpet and Flooring
Tom arrived punctually to give us an estimate for the carpeting job. He provided multiple carpeting options and measured our home quickly and efficiently. He answered questions and brought to light a number of issues that we would need to consider when having the job done. He put together an estimate on the spot and then emailed me a final quote later that day. His prices were very competitive and he appeared more than competent. We chose to go with a different provider simply because they provided a slightly lower estimate of needed square footage allowing us to save a small amount.

    Asbestos Abatement Associates
We were in the middle of having new flooring laid in our basement when tiles containing asbestos were discovered under the old carpet. All work had to stop until the tile was removed. AAA was very prompt and flexible with their scheduling. Even though more tiles needed removed than the original estimate, they didn't charge any more and actually finished early.

Brian did a fantastic job with our flooring from beginning to end!  He was so patient as we tried to figure out what type of flooring we wanted, and ended up coming to our house a few times to update the estimate as we changed our minds about what we wanted!  He was so great and had fantastic suggestions and feedback in regards to helping up decide the best floor.  When the work was starting, he was prompt, friendly, and immediately I knew we had made the right choice with picking Brian. We ran into some problems as we ripped up the floor as we found unexpected active vents under the floor, but Brian gave us all the options of how to deal with it and once again made great suggestions on what he thought was best (and again he was right!). The job ran into a few unexpected problems that needed to be fixed before the flooring could continue, but that didn't razz Brian at all.  Each time he gave us options/suggestions, and continued working on getting the job down. Although I'm sure he must have been frustrated and disappointed in all the unexpected problems he ran into (as we sure were!) he never let it show! He cleaned up after he was done, and genuinely cared/asked us if all the work was done to our satisfaction and if there was anything else he could do in order to ensure us being pleased with the project!  Great experience!

    North Point Services Co
Aleksey worked on a small bathroom where we were converting a tub to a shower and replacing all the tile. He was very attentive to detail and consulted me appropriately on decisions regarding the final design and other issues related to the conversion of a tub to a shower. He was also able to give me good advice on grout color and the specific type of grout to use. I think the final product looks great and will serve us well for many many years.
This was a difficult job not because the space is so large, but rather because it is a very small bathroom in an 8th floor condo. This means that all the demolition trash and the new tile, mortar, etc. had to be taken up and down in an elevator. And, there is no attached garage for cutting the tile. Aleksey worked very well within these constraints personally carrying the heavy loads of garbage and the mortar, etc. Seeing how hard he had to work to do this job, I can tell you that it was worth every penny to have him do it. I rated the price good versus excellent because it was expensive to hire out for this tiny bathroom. However, the quality is excellent and there is absolutely no way this could have been DIY, in my opinion. It would have take much much longer and I know I would not have had the quality needed.
I would recommend Aleksey to others needing tile work.

    JB's Wood Floor Maintenance Inc
raJohn has great expertise in wood floors, finishes, and does quality work.  We obtained 3 bids for our project and choose John because of his ability to apply a high end water based polyurethane to our new hickory floor.  He explained all our options from oil based, to the most protective finish, describing the pros and cons.  We choose water based for environmental reasons, durability, and non-yellowing feature.  I love the oil based look of wood and was leaning in that direction prior to researching, but was surprised and pleased with the results of the oil/water based system he has developed an expertise with.  The look of oil and the durability of water based product!  As a medical professional I also considered the toxic exposure of the carpenters to oil based products and the environmental concerns.  I was free to choose either method without any pressure, given a clear outline (on paper) of all choices, and description of managing the harmful vapors in terms of disposal and exposure.  I ruled out pre-finished floor for a number of reasons:  cost was greater, grooves would fill with dirt over time, limited ability to re-finish as needed, concern about scratches and chips over time.  The bid we received for pre-finished was at least $5000 more.  Workmanship was beyond expectation especially with an edge that met our existing wood railing base to the lower level.  John applied the final coat himself, arranged for us to meet with the wood distributor to look at samples, and supplied us with care information, including a kit to get started with.  As I debated whether to go natural vs. the trendy dark stained look, he offered to ask a satisfied customer (who loves his stained floor) to allow me to see it, also offering to demo various stains.  I decided on the natural look for protection against scrapes and did not pursue staining or even viewing another floor.  I have no doubt John is highly experienced at staining and matching wood to existing floors.  I believe we will enjoy our sturdy hickory floor for many years.

    Northland Coating Inc

Justin and his crew did a great job on our floor.  It took a day longer than expected because it rained and they didn't want the floor to get wet before they got finished.

The floor looks great and we would recommend Northland Coating.
