Ice And Roof Snow Removal reviews in Mounds View

We had some issues with the Hoffman Weber representative who came to our home to perform the thermal imaging and provide a quote for the work that needed to be done.  He gave us inaccurate information about timelines and was not responsive to my emails.  I initially wrote a poor Angie's List review for the company.  However, I was contacted by the general manager the next day expressing concern about the review and apologizing for the lack of proper communication.  He stated that Hoffman Weber was a company that prided itself on excellent customer service and that they were aware of the communication issues and had taken steps to correct the situation.  He said that he wanted to know how Hoffman Weber could "make it right".  This impressed me because many companies do not put a lot of stake in reviews and do not follow with a customer's dissatisfaction.  He offered to send someone out the next week to repair the damaged dry wall free of charge.  Again, kind of unheard of.  Hoffman Weber is almost done with the drywall repair.  Because of the follow up and seemingly genuine concern regarding the bad experience we had with the salesperson,  I have chosen to raise my grade to a B.

Pat's crew headed by Philip came to the house. I was told what procedure they would use: Steamed off the ice. It took 2hrs + 40 min. It was too late to prevent all damage so now 3/25 I am trying to connect w/ Pat to get an estimate for repair of a wall.

We purchased a big deal purchase for 45% off with 2 hours of roof ice/snow removal. It's very well. They were prompt. They were easy to work with and they gave us some information and advice about how to handle and prevent ice in the future. They came last year. We actually had a different company come this year. It was reasonable price. I feel like they were just good communicators. They also furnish just additional information and took care something that is flashing around the vent that we had and they took care of that right away and said that they do that in the spring to provide a better solution for that vent location and they came out and took care of that as promise.

Must be due to demand, but was so disappointed to get a much higher quote. $475 per hour, with a two hour minimum, that's $950, no matter what the size of your job is. Forced to look elsewhere... :(

We were not happy with the service as we were told with the size of the roof that we had they could do the work in a certain amount of time. I went out after an hour and I noticed they were working in an area that did not even need the service. Communicating with them was very tough and we were unhappy as they were unable to finish the work that we ended up having to have another company come and finish the work. They should have had someone there who had good English speaking skills and I think the service would have been much better. I was very unhappy with how they wasted their time and I told them if they were running out of time to just fix the problem areas. They should have known to work on the problem areas that were causing the ice dams and I even specifically mentioned that they needed to work on those areas.

. In late February, I came home and noticed that all of the ice was shoveled off the roof. I contacted your office repeatedly but received no bill, which I thought was odd. This summer, when my roof started leaking, I went to inspect the roof and now I believe I know why I was not billed for the work. There is an actual punched hole in the roof. Other damage includes includes torn and missing shingles, scuffed off granules into the asphalt/fiberglass matt and pic axe or hammer holes through the shingles, prevalent over 75% of the roof. This roofing damage has resulted in water leaking through my house. I have had the roof inspected and they came to the same conclusion that the roof (which is only a few years old) was damaged by improper ice damage removal. I am looking for  the company to stand behind their work and pay for the damage. I have contacted the company but they have not responded.

I called Westurn Roofing because my roof was leaking like a seive.  The roof is ony 3 years old.  They sent some guys out to shovel the snow off the roof.  After they left, I noticed that my shed had the roof caved in.  Someone had stepped from the back of the garage roof onto the shed roof ( which butts up to the back of the garage).  Hard to believe they would step on the shed roof.  We checked and there were footprints all around the shed.  I took pictures of this damage.  They also left about a 4 ft. high pile of snow at the back door of the garage so we couldn't get out the back door of the garage.  Needless to say, the shed is damaged and needs to be replaced.  I have been calling their representative since December about replacing the shed.  I told him that they should have told be about this right away and be responsible for their damage to my shed.  He told me to wait until spring when they could do something about this.  He did tell me he was filing a claim for this damage in December.  After many, many phone calls to the representative, with no results, I finally called the main office in Plymouth and talked to the claims lady.  She had never heard of this damage before and no claim was ever filed.  I want them to replace my shed and reimburse me for having someone take down the old one and put up a new shed.  So far, they have had many excuses and have lost my file.  I fully expect them to assume this liability and take responsibility for the damage done by their guys to my shed.  I shouldn't have to pay for this.  They are responsible.  So far no return phone calls as they promised to call me back.   Also, we found some shingles laying on the ground this spring.. which could be a result of the shoveling the snow.

When my roof started leaking due to an ice dam, other ice dam removal companies were not answering the phone or were taking reservations for weeks in the future.  Nokomis was able show up in a couple days after my call and take care of my ice dam and remove the snow that fed the ice dam.  My only complaint was that they removed the ice by chipping and pounding instead of by steam.  There was some minor shingle damage, but I had no more leaking from the roof for the rest of the winter. Overall, I was happy to get my  ice dam problem taken care of promptly at a reasonable price. If I need ice dam removal again, I'll probably try to get it removed with steam which seems to be the best method to avoid any roof damage.

I called around 3 in the afternoon on a Saturday (when I noticed the issue) and called them up. The women said it would be approximately 1-1 1/2 hours before someone could get there but a technician would call me in the next 20 minutes. Both were true although I think it was closer to just an hour for the guy to come. He then hooked up to the water faucet and set up. He shoveled the areas above the ice dams and then cut the ice into chunks and it came down. They have a 2 hour minimum and he was there for 3 hours, but at the 2 hour mark he asked if I wanted him to continue or what I wanted. He worked even while it was dark and did great work! Very professional and hard working. I would definitely recommend them, they did great work and were very punctual. I didn't do a ton of research on price because I was more concerned with someone coming to clear our ice dams to prevent further damage.

We called Kaufman on Monday morning and they were at our home performing the work on Tuesday afternoon. Before beginning work they called our cell and gave us an estimate of time and expense and gave us options based on our budget, which was much appreciated. This company is willing to work wiith you and cap their work based on your budget, focusing on the most important areas. We did not have to be home for them to complete the work. A crew of two men for three hours and our roof was cleared. They used a spiking method versus steam, and we found no problems with this method. They have used this method for four generations and stand by this method. They work fast and get the job done. Very courteous and cleaned up the front walk after the job. No complaints from us. I will recommend this company to anyone I encounter complaining about an ice dam problem. Office staff were very patient and explained the process to us very well. Payment is simple as Kaufman sends a bill. This company was by far the best value we found out there. (Beware: some companies are charging $450/hour and from what we experienced, you definitely don't need to pay that sort of rate to get the job done)
