  • My husband was scheduled for a biopsy.  His appointment for the
procedure was cancelled....twice! Today it was cancelled 8 minutes
before his appointment.  He had completed all the required preparation
and received a "reminder" phone call the night before.  We were checking
in for the procedure and were told at that time that the Dr. had "an
emergency".  Same thing we were told the first time.
In our opinion, this is a terrible way to treat people.  This clinic seems to forget they are providing a
service.  They've got one less patient now.

  • I love them! They changed their approach over the last couple of years and they are extremely customer focused and nice. I feel like a special guest instead of a patient. There are some doctors that don't care no matter how long I wait and it's like they are the ones that are special, not me. These guys have intentionally made me feel like a guest, which I think is amazing. When I got a mammogram, it felt like a spa. I got a sunny robe, not just a hospital gown. It was all painted pretty, and the lights were kind of low. The process is still the process, but it's as good as it could be. The environment is nice. The pharmacy put a call in to get my prescription refilled because it was expired. Their customer service is fantastic because she just said she will just get a call in and get it started. The clinic called me and said the pharmacy called and wanted to let me know that I need to see the doctor before I go, but they can make that appointment for me if I like. They totally took care of it. They called me, got the appointment, and now I just have to go. They gave the okay for a 30-day. They have very much taken a different approach than most. I think the whole Allina program is not a for-profit hospital. I take my son there and they had been fantastic with him.

  • My first visit to Dr Hulbert was to talk about my kidney stone and the CT scan. Dr Hulbert said I needed surgery but when I tried to schedule with him, I couldn't get an appointment until at least three weeks out. I rescheduled surgery for the next week with the doctor who was available, Dr Fallen. Dr Fallen was rude to me and my family when he arrived at the hospital and seemed and quot;put outand quot; because he was performing surgery on another doctors patient. Then he was 2 1/2 hours late for my follow up (stint removal) appointment a week after surgery. When I told him I was having a lot of pain from the stint, he told me that it is only uncomfortable and that I shouldn't be having any pain. Then he looked at the xray and said and quot;I guess you are having pain. The stint moved and is poking into the wall of your bladder.and quot; He seemed very flippant when I told him about the pain, like I was just being a complainer. He didn't explain to me what to expect following the stint removal or anything regarding kidney stones. In fact, he didn't really talk to me at all. I felt rushed out of the office. Also, the office staff was extremely unprofessional (they couldn't find my file within 24hrs of my first visit). And I never received any follow up calls regarding the result of my kidney stone analysis.

  • Minnesota Gastroenterology has this whole process down to a science. The materials on the prep were easily available and easy to follow. There were even online video instructions. The staff was ready and able to answer questions about the prep. The office staff is very friendly, even funny, which helps with the anxiety over this procedure. The waiting room is large, airy, and well lit.
I was called right on schedule. The prep/IV nurses were very pleasant, and explained everything well. The physician came in to let me know about the procedure, what I would experience, etc. He was also quite pleasant. The whole thing takes about an hour, even with recovery from the anesthesia and post-procedure discussion by the physician.

  • We are leaving on a road trip next week and wanted to get the injections for that trip. They were able to get me an appointment timely. I did not have to wait more than 15 minutes to go from check in to seeing the PA who did the injections. He did not rust me and encouraged any questions I had regarding the injections or possible knee replacement(s) in the future.

  • I visited twice for my innoculations. The first visit the nurse was great! I only waited a couple minutes and she explained the various different required and recommended innoculations for the geographic areas I was visiting. She worked quickly as well.
The second visit there was a big snow storm and I was VERY late for my appointment. Despite this, they were very understanding and still saw me. I am pretty sure the nurse had to stay later then her normal schedule to accomodate me, but you would never know it.
    They were all great!

  • She is very pleasant and professional. I also had some dealings with some VA and she has been very good with coordinating with that. and the VA is not always easy to go with. She and her staff has done an authentic job.

  • Everyone throughout the consultation and surgical process was friendly, patient and professional. I especially had questions for the billing department and therefore dealt with them the most often, as my health insurance changed this year and I was uncertain about how much would be covered. My questions were always answered promptly and courteously. The only negative was that when we went to purchase the brace, the process was a little overwhelming because of the variety of brands to choose from. I thought the technician was pushy, rushed us through the explantion of the braces, and hurried us to make a decision (in fact everyone in that office seemed to be in a hurry even though there was no one else there). I don't spend that kind of money or make hasty decisions about medical issues. I almost went to another company to buy the brace, but after expressing my concerns to them they backed off (but only a little). Otherwise the process was great.

  • I would recommend Dr. Schoenleber to anyone. He is very caring and concerned. He also has had some training in natural medicine. He is very respectful of my wishes about my health/condition.
