very well. he explained in a clear matter what the issues were and what were the most appropriate options were. very easy to engage in discussion w/ him. it was a free consultation but there was no pressure for trying to "get" me to engage his company for work.

Horrible company - Checks cashed no services provided. They did not provide service (2 inches snow fall). I contacted company through email, over phone conversations (2 times),and left voice mail. Peter/Company gave no indication or communication that services would not be provided, yet all check payments have been cashed. When employee did answer the phone, I was told the account would be audited. It's been 3 months.

Very well. Jerry was at our house about 1 hour after we called. He had a real problem solving attitude, which is always necessary in an old house. He was personable and professional, and he did a great job!

TERRIBLE! Cheap (you get what you pay for, and in this case, LESS!). When it comes to lawn maintenance, they dont care if they mow when its wet and the tires on their equipment spin and tear up the lawn. I understand that it happens, but for crying out loud, correct your mistakes & make it right! As far as snow plowing, LAZY just doesnt cover it. During the last snow, there was a car at the bottom of the street (couldnt make it up, fresh tracks in the snow). Ryan and crew just drove by and kept driving! When called and asked about why they didnt plow, his response was, I dont have time to make a cell phone call to have you come out and move your car! (rudely). Nor does he have time to walk to the door and ring the doorbell! Also, his crews dropped their blade and pushed the snow into the yard ... right over a sprinkler head breaking it off!). Crew of 2, one guy shovels, the other drives. They cant seem to shovel the walk wider than 1 shovel width, nor can they seem to shovel even a little bit against the garage door or any other obstruction (I guess they dont have time for that either). Lazy, rude, shoddy work. Go elsewhere, pay a few more $, but itll be worth it! Follow up: when called to express my displeasure to Ryan, his direct response was, Cool, go find someone else! I did and hope you do too!

The crew from Garage Doors Plus were very quick to answer the call for an emergency garage door replace, way faster than other companies that sent back quotes telling me I'd have to wait 1-2 weeks. They did an amazing, quality install job on a frigid Friday. Great work, would recommend.

Adrian Kolles, the owner called within 10 minutes of us putting the word out on Angies List. I was under the impression that due to the age of the toilet that the parts for the tank would not be available and informed Adrian that we would need a new toilet and he agreed to pick one up for us. We went to Menards and picked one out and phone Adrian the model number and price and he showed up with it. On his own he took the time to check with 2 companies he gets parts from and was told they don't make them. After arriving with the new toilet and looking at our's he determined that he had parts in his truck that he felt would work in our tank and sure enough he was correct. So did he not only save us the cost of a new toilet but reduced the cost he quoted us and took the new toilet he picked up for us back to Menards. Hard to find that type of service in this day and age. Thx Adrian & Ace Kolles Pllumbing LLC for a job well done.

Tyler promptly replied to my request for moving quote. Responded even quicker when I asked a question. Tyler and I believe, Cody, were both very nice young me with great work ethics. They walked thru the house to determine where they would start and how to pack truck the easiest way for us to unpack. Took a large heavy 'iron closet' from basement to truck with ease. Truck packed perfectly, not one item shifted on our 400 mile move. This company is very well run, very quick to respond, very quick to do a wonderful job at a very reasonable rate. This company and its work comes highly recommended.

We had a severe leak in our roof with every hard rain. We had six various pans, pails, and odd spare containers lined up in an only partially successful attempt to catch all the water coming in. The problematical roof was unconventional and covered an attached addition to our main home. Specifically, this roof is comprised of two flat sections (requiring membranes) and a single conventionally pitched section (requiring shingling). Unfortunately, most contractors could not handle the flat roofing part of the job on residential installations (as opposed to commercial installations); however, this was not a problem for Patrick Miller Construction. Ron Berscheid and his assistant came to our home almost immediately after I called and both were very friendly and helpful. (We even exchanged a few cooking tips right before goodbyes.) I went up on the roof with Ron, and we examined it together. Ron estimated $5313 for all of the roofing work (including all miscellaneous associated costs and commercial-grade membranes on the flat portions). We paid one-half up front and the final half after the work was complete. They did enough work promptly to stop the leaks, which ended our major headache. We then worked together between our mutual schedules to finish the project. I was very pleased that there were no cost overruns or extra charges, and the total bill was exactly the quoted $5313. The roof has every appearance of being top-notch professional work. At this point, it has been subject to a decent amount of severe weather over a period of a few months, and it has come through with flying colors. We are very satisfied with the work we had done, and especially happy that there were no surprise charges. Therefore, our experience is that Patrick Miller Construction is an honest and trustworthy company that does high quality work.

I recently had my third project done by Imperial Custom Woodworking. There have been problems with the installs on all three. My kitchen remodel was to have one cabinet with a piano hinge. It was improperly installed and had to be remade. They also gouged my new oak floor installing one of the pantry. Luckily it was hidden by the island we had made next. They forgot to install knob on blank door on the island. Third project was new cabinet doors and drawer fronts for both bathrooms. First time they came out 2 drawer fronts were a totally different color from the rest. So instead of sending them back to finisher to be stripped and redone, Imperial made new ones. Second ones were cut wrong and they put the old handles on instead of the new knobs I handed to the installer. The installer tried to convince me the "handles" looked good. I said no, and offered to pay for new drawer fronts if I had to, at the original price of $19.66. When I got the final bill I was charged $195.11 for two 13" X 6" drawer fronts and finishing. While I am satisfied with the finished product I feel ripped off.

My interaction with this company went so poorly that I'm submitting my first review on Angieslist. I get it, scheduling this type of work is difficult because you don't know how complicated each job will be until you get there (the whole purpose of the time window btw). But when you call 2/3 of the way through a 3 hour window to let someone know the tech is running behind and you don't give any more information, you're starting down the path of poor customer service. You make it worse when you show no remorse and offer no apologies, but instead condescendingly explain that the tech is running late because other jobs are more important and then basically say the tech won't be able to help anyway. When your only solution is to reschedule for another day even though your customer already scheduled their time around your service window or to suggest that there are hundreds of other providers that do what they do and there might be one that schedules differently, you end up with an unhappy person that will happily find another provider. All you need to do is apologize for the inconvenience and accommodate your customer as much as possible. When the new window is 2 additional hours and the customer asks if you can make it as late in the new window as possible, just say that you'll let the tech know. My goodness, it is common sense. Needless to say, I will not be using this company and if you do, I hope they treat you better than my experience.
