    Well, my parents always went there. I know the owner. Interacting with the sales people is very good. The installation, that didn't go so hot. It was wasn't their fault, It was because of my wiring on my dishwasher. The gentleman that came out here, delivered it and took my other one away, he was great. He was very sorry but, he had to take my  dishwasher away and I had this big hole in my kitchen where the dishwasher was. And I do not like washing dishes. And I called other companies to hook it up, to do the wiring and wasn't getting anywhere until I called Mr. Starkey. They had to leave my dishwasher which, take my dishwasher. After I got all  hooked up, I called them right away and they came out the next day and hooked it up for me.

    DO NOT BUY AN APPLIANCE FROM HOME DEPOT UNLESS YOU CAN STUFF IT IN YOUR VEHICLE AND TAKE IT HOME YOURSELF. Due to the 4 level food chain, through the delivery company, means nobody takes responsibility to deliver a useful product. The communication pyramid was awful (unreachable people and when you reach someone, loooong waits on the phone). We bought a microwave oven and refrigerator in early Nov for 2 week delivery. By mid Dec we had canceled both appliances - the microwave was out of production for months and the delivered refrigerator didn't cool (amazing). It was hours and days of badgering Home Depot. Everybody pointed their fingers elsewhere. Terrible business model.

    DO NOT buy an appliance from Home Depot unless you take it from the store in your vehicle. We had 4 parties to deal with (sales, expediter, mfgr, and hauler, maybe more). Nobody takes responsibility for delivery of a working appliance. Days in the store and hours on the phone were an awful use of our time. Ugly home depot process. We ultimately cancelled both orders. Very frustrating.

    Sears delivered a new whirlpool refrigerator the day before (5/2/2012) and hooked up the water line to it.  A short time after the delivery crew left we discovered water running all over the kitchen floor, so we turned off the water supply valve and called the sears service number to get help.  A repair person came the next morning and discovered that the delivery crew had installed a defective water coupling.  After he installed a good coupling, the connecting was tight and there has not been any more water leakage.

    Our refrigerator started intermittantly freezing produce in December. When the milk was spoiled after Christmas, we realized that it was dying and decided we had to act quickly before we lost everything in it. We called in the late afternoon on 30-Dec to inquire about delivery options around the New Year holiday. The salesman was prompt and efficient in taking our information and calling back to report that a refrigerator could be delivered on 31-Dec even though the delivery schedule was shortened that day due to the holiday. We went to the Snelling store. WIth the same salesman's help, we quickly narrowed the options, made our selection, did the paperwork and were done in 20 minutes or less. We expected to pay a higher price, but the price was a little less than the one cited in Consumer Reports. The salesman also showed us the current options for some longer-term changes we are considering for our kitchen. All in all, it was an extremely pleasant and efficient experience, rather than the drudgery and groveling I had expected would be required to get this done by the new year!

    I knew the exact model of microwave I wanted and had shopped around. When you add on the cost of installation, prices were all over the place. When I went to Steve's, I was surprised that their price included installation. That made it a very good price, so I bought it on the spot. They were able to arrange delivery and installation in just 3 days. The price also included taking away my old microwave. I wanted to move my kitchen countertop microwave to the basement and have them take away the old one in the basement. Their installation guy cheerfully accomodated my wishes, carting one microwave down the stairs and another one back up.

    It was a very good experience. They were on time, professional, and they did what they said they were going to do. I had a problem with the dryer and the gentleman came out, found the problem, they ordered the part and repaired it the next day. I felt they were very responsive and efficient. I would definitely recommend Sears for your appliances.

    The service my son received was wonderful. He paid $150 for a used machine that runs really well. The service from them is incredible; they come in take out the old machine and bring the new one in. My son was very impressed with the service that they received. They had to go up and down three flights of stairs in order to deliver the machine.
