  • Magic Seal did a great job of filling cracks - better than any company I've used before - and then sealed the driveway.  They edged the driveway first, and the work looks great.  It took them only about an hour to do a thoroughly professional job.  I'll stick with Magic Seal for future driveway work.

  • They were able to get to the roof replacement very quickly due to flexible schedule on my part.  Arrived on time, very quick and professional in taking care of the landscaping and exterior of the home prior to starting tear-off of existing shingles.  Crew was very efficient and courteous.  Trevor (owner) was on site to supervise his crew and verify accuracy of materials delivered to be installed.  The job was performed in the time frame expected (7 hours from arrival to departure), and clean-up of any stray materials was excellent.  New roof looks great.
While not the least expensive bid I received, I felt extremely comfortable with Trevor's personal attention to making sure I understood the services he could provide.  Also was glad to have the warrantee he could offer being a top-tier installer allowing the warrantee to be transferred once in it's lifetime as well.  I felt confident if there were any issues, he would be around and responsive to come check anything out and repair as needed.

  • Matt and his crew are first-rate professionals, from providing an estimate to final walk through.  His work was highly professional and he didn't try to rush it (as I had one previous crew do) since the stain was slow drying.  He made sure he had a good weather window for proper application and dry-time. He and his crew appeared on time and did a thorough job.  The work is gorgeous and looks like the house is new.  I would hire Matt and his crew again for any painting job I would consider.  Excellent work by professional and friendly people.

  • Champion Power Equipment sent me to NorthernTool for warranty service on a portable generator.  Northern Tool had diagnosed 'bad gas' before I even agreed to leave the machine. Rather than work with Champion under warranty Northern Tool claims it was bad gas and charged me $55.00 to 'fix' it.  It wasn't fixed.  I had to take it to another service center which worked with Champion.  Champion finally issued a bulletin regarding "hard to start" machines that dictated a starting procedure that has nothing to do with gas and has solved the problem.  Considering the same gas powers my snow blower, lawn mower and leaf blower without problem; and considering that every time I ran the generator I shut the fuel valve off to burn off the gas in the carburetor leaving no residual gas to clog it, it's almost impossible for it to have been "bad gas."  But, of course, it's easier to take five minutes to drain the gas and hold the machine hostage for $65.00 from me than the slower process of warranty service. If these people are not criminal they are certainly unethical.  Don't ever have them repair anything.

  • I'd tried working through the manufacturer, without much luck until they
sent me to Kurt at M&M Express who did a great job finding and
fixing the problem - even though M&M is not a certified service
center for this particular make.  I really appreciate M&M's efforts,
and working it out with no cost to me.  I'd highly recommend this company.

  • Started well and I scheduled them well ahead of time although I had to demand the date I wanted; they were scheduling according to the order the deposits came in.  A few days before the date the owner called to say it would be split into two days, blown blanket, then the following day the foam application.  Not major, but annoying.  My time is worth something and given the lead time in scheduling this seems questionable at best.  The blown blanket guys were all right but failed to do a couple minor things I think they should have.  I'm not an expert on this and I expect the professionals will do a professional job.  When the foam team arrived the following day I pointed out the missing items to them and they did take care of it.  I had to put a 50% deposit down and offered the remainder to the foam team as they left.  They said I'd get a bill in the mail.  And now wonder; the bill was 11% higher than the written proposal.  The owner - who does the proposals - missed an overhang along a 16' wall which increased the foam cost.  I have no objection to the cost, but I do feel blindsided by the way it was presented.  The foam team could have warned me and failing that the owner or someone from the firm could have called to advise me about it - and apologize for missing it, perhaps.  Based on this experience I'd prefer to do business with a more professional outfit.

  • Not perfectly on time, but close enough.  He did call to let me know when he'd be there, but I was a little put out when he asked how long the runs were as he might not have enough wire.  But he did have enough wire and quickly installed the two circuits.  Very professionally done.  Cleanup might have been better.  But overall excellent service and work.  I'd recommend this company to anyone.

  • Wendy is one of the nicest and most courteous people I have ever worked with. She is also very professional! We are currently still working on finding me a place to rent because of what's on the market right now. I will definitely go through Wendy when something I like comes on the market!

  • Hail went through our neighborhood west of the metro area.  There were people all around our development knocking on doors but a neighbor recommended I contact Ben at A-1 Restoration since they had used them in previous years and had a good experience.  I turned all of the people that approached my home away and had Ben come out.  He was able to take all of the hassle out of me needing to repair my roof.  The damage wasn't extensive, as far as I could tell, but was enough that the insurance company paid for a new roof to be put on. Ben also took the time to inspect our attic space for moisture, checked our siding, and looked at all of our windows in our home.  Something that I do not enjoy having to do myself.  He was able to take what was going to seem to be a hassle and make it fairly easy and pain-free.  Our new shingles look great.

  • Town and Country built our fence, charged us $5000., it was the biggest waste of our money we ever spent. They put the post in only 3 feet, not below the frost line. Each winter the posts have heaved. The first year we called, we were told that there was no warranty on the fence. Well we needed it fixed, so we had them come out. They came out, poured new cement over the old cement, charged us $50. a post. This did not fix anything. The posts have heaved every year and we finally had to replace most of the posts ourselves. At least they are now below the frost line. I would / will NEVER recommend Town and Country Fencing to anyone. In fact when anyone talks about getting a fence I tell them not to trusts this terrible fence company.
