Landscaping reviews in Maple Plain

    TerraVista Landscape and Design
It went poorly. I provided a great deal of detail about what I was looking for and what I wanted help with, and the situation of our yard, and why I needed help from professionals on landscaping. I was only asking for the one-time consultation and design, The response from Terra Vista was very rude, unprofessional, and insulting. Based on how prospective customers are treated, I'd hate to see how they treat actual paying customers.

    Tri-K Services
Three weeks past with no calls. I called to check on the status. Was told they called and left a voicemail on the 27th. Verified with phone records and no calls or voicemails on any day was received. I was told it was finished on the call. Arrived to pick up the lawnmower and was told around $400 for repairs. I was told they replaced a bent spindle, bent pulley & put on new blades. I asked why I wasn't called to authorize the $400 repair on a $1700 machine. The counter associate called the owner to meet me by the lawnmower as he was the one responsible for work. I asked to see the parts he pulled off the machine and the parts were not the parts from my lawn mower. They were very rusted and the star that holds the blade on was stripped. Mine were not stripped as I just inspected them and replaced one that was stripped. He showed me two extremely rusted blades. The blades on my lawn mower were replace by me two month before. I inspected the parts before I dropped off the machine. I told the owner I though the "used" parts he "replaced" and charged me for were my original parts. He began yelling and got defensive and tried to deflect from my direct questioning. I asked him as owner what his policy was for gaining authorization prior to repairs. He kept looking under the lawn mower and offered no answer. He took the parts that supposedly came off my lawn mower and threw them on the back of the ATV. I took a picture incase it was needed later. He started walking back into the store front so I followed. He told the desk clerk to let me load it up and no charge. He left the building with the paperwork so I couldn't get a copy. It showed he charged me for "used" parts. I would have been happy to pay $100-$150 for the belt slipping repairs as shown on videos on the internet.

Metropro Inc Lawn, Landscape and Snow
Payed attention to detail. Rotated direction of cut with diagonal cut. Changed blade height during times of extreme dry conditions. Always blew grass off of side walk and driveway. Careful to not set equipment on pavement or driveway. Liked that he had 2-3 people doing the mow - shortened the time it took- re: noise for shorter period of time.

    LCS Lawn & Tree Service
I have used LCS Lawn for my plowing for the last few years. I own a self-storage in Minneapolis, where good plowing is imperative so customers can access their belongings. I have not had a negative comment from any of my customers, which means they are keeping things clean and clear. The price has been reasonable and they are quick to get things cleaned up after a snow. They also keep you updated via email!

    Dave's Stump Removal
He did what he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it, and for a VERY reasonable price.  In my book, that puts him in the 1% club.  From the time of my first phone call to him, it was less than a week and all my stumps were ground out.

    Arbor Barber
This company is top-notch! Everything we asked Vitaliy if they could do was a yes.  The group of guys he brought with him to work were polite, friendly and professional.  They worked quickly and very hard to complete the job.  I will certainly be contacting Arbor Barber in the future.

    Four Seasons Tree Service
I've used Rod and Four Seasons in the past - and they are true experts.  They are arborists first and foremost - there have been several times where I've suggest a limb to be removed here or there and Rod's declined and provided the reason why - -usually it's a growth or tree wellness issue.
With Rod you get true professionalism - trees and tall limbs taken down professionally with block & tackle.  Health of the canopy and trees is a foremost concern.  Trees with possible future split issues are harnessed back without cabling/drilling.  The safety in their approach is obvious: 2-men teams, buddy support, hard-hats, etc.  And the pricing is fairly good.  Clean up is fantastic, and they are flexible with wood-chips and firewood placement.
The only expectation you should lower slightly is punctuality: if Rod says he can get there in two weeks it may be three or
four....frankly I'm really happy with the value of his work, so I'm OK if there is a delay on when he can arrive.
I hope this helps -- if you're looking for a true tree service expert, Rod is your guy.

    Arbor Barber
Same day response from provider and came out quickly to assess the tree we needed removed.  Price was fair and in the ball park of expectations.  Service performed within a week or so of final agreement.  I'd recommend and use this provider again.

    FUNFAR LANDSCAPING
They did a good job.  Scheduling can be difficult, as I'm sure they're busy.  I would use them again because they're very helpful and they do great work.  They did a nice job making the end result look polished -- you can't even tell they disturbed the ground.

    Bergerson-Caswell Inc
They installed a 5 zone irrigation system with a wireless controller and rain sensor.  They were right on with the coverage to not only our lawn, but they took the time and care to make sure my gardens were covered too.  Gary, took the time to show my husband how to operate the controller for auto on and off along with how to override it.  Also, showed him where the instructions were, just in case he forgot what he told him.  Very professional!
