One time it was Christmas Eve. They always answer the phone answering machine. Family run business and they are are great to talk to. That is very important to me!!!

    They were great.  I had originally been given a block of time when they would be arriving and they called the night before breaking it down to a half hour arrival window.  Ian showed up within that time frame and was very courteous, professional and helpful the entire time.
    In my experience, when you get a deal like these it is so they can nickle and dime you on additional parts/work or upsale large, often unneeded repairs or replacement.  That was not the case at all with Uptown.  They performed the full inspection/tune up and then Ian sat down and went over everything in detail with me showing what was working well, what was nearing the end of it's usable life and what was no longer functioning.  He let me know about options available for updating/upgrading these systems and informed me of the annual service program they offer but I never felt pressured.
    I am beyond impressed with this service and will certainly use Uptown again and request Ian as my tech in the future.

    Cleaning service was very good!  Ben came and explained what needed to be done and gave me an estimate of how long it would take (about 2 hours).  He was very thorough with each supply and return vent, making sure to check for dampers in the duct as well.  Throughout the process, he was very courteous with making sure to be careful around furniture as well as notify me when he would be changing rooms so I could get  my daughter away from the noise.  When everything was done, he took the time to explain to me what was done, any findings from cleaning the furnace, and recommendations on when to clean again and what service to request.  Ben did a great job cleaning up after finishing as well.

    They came out promptly but charged me $288.22 for a part that can be purchased online for $25.  He was in our house for no more than 20 minutes.  Our furnace is getting old and we were told we would probably need a new furnace soon, which we agreed with.  However before he left the serviceman took 1 reading for carbon monoxide.  The reading was 1ppm.  I was then told I needed a new furnace as soon as possible.  Upon further investigation online, 1 ppm is not at all dangerous plus a reading of that level can come from many sources besides the furnace including the stove, fireplace, cooking and smoking.  Also, he took 1 reading and that is not the industry standard.  I felt I was being manipulated through fear to purchase a new furnace.

    It went fantastically. Jeff answered the phone personally when I called. I didn't know the chances of getting someone out on a Saturday night but I was terrified that my pipes would freeze if I didn't. He explained that he would come, but it would have to be after the service call he was leaving on then. He asked me to text him my address after our call. I did, but for some reason he never got my text, so he called me back about an hour later to get the address once he was done with that first call. Said he'd be here in 20 minutes. He was (this was a snowy, icy night). Once he looked into my furnace he realized that the problem was in a hard to reach area. He dug in his truck for the right tools but didn't have them with him. So he explained that he was going to drive home to get the tools needed, because he knew he had them there but just not on the truck. I thought for sure he was going to say he'd come back Sunday, meaning I would have no heat Saturday night, but he said he would just go get the tools and come right back that he hated to leave me without heat. How often do you encounter a service person willing to do that on a snowy, late, COLD Saturday night?! He made not one but two drives to my house and didn't charge for the service all. Just one flat fee (higher due to weekend, which is standard). No charge for his extra time due to having to go get the tools, nor gas or anything. I just couldn't believe it. This was my second time using Air Jeff's (last summer he serviced my air conditioner), and I remembered his promptness and easy way of dealing with things, which is why I called him this time. I definitely will use him in the future and will recommend him to anyone seeking fast, responsive, professional and reasonably priced work.

    After discovering what was wrong, they had to order a part to finish the repairs.  This only took a day or two but as soon as they had it, they came and completed the repair.  They new how important this was as I was hosting a baby shower that following weekend and need to make sure my air conditioning was working.  They came to the rescue!

    The field tech for the manufacturer reviewed all the measurements and changes made to the unit by Ditter, and agreed to swap out the entire furnace. A new unit was installed and it's worked great.
    Ditter shared in our inconvenience, understanding that it was not their fault nor our fault - and never complained about going beyond expectations to solve the problem.

    Massmann was the low bidder, they got the work done on time and within budget but the system is not performing to spec.  Every time they come out to try to get the system to run within specification, they send a bill even though it should still be covered under warranty.  It is near impossible to get them to come out to do service work and they charge an arm and a leg for anything after the original install.  I would not recommend.
