  • The work was done alright except the front door would not latch anymore. They also charged me $50 to make the latch hole on a different door slightly bigger and did not tell me it would be $50 for that 5 seconds of work until I saw it in the bill. They also showed up ahead of schedule without any notice and were rude when I said it was not the right time. Find a different company that won't nickel and dime you and won't act like they're doing you a favor for coming out.

  • I was so extremely upset with them. I wish I could do something about it. The guy was horrible. The moment the guy came into the house, I just wanted him to leave. My door was closed. I could not open it from outside, without even locking it. It locked by itself. So, the guy came and he didn't even look and he said that I had to replace the whole thing. I said, "But, I think this is a very minor thing. It's just the lock. There's something going on. You can open up and check and see what's wrong." Then he just started to open. So he opened and then he said, "It's going to cost," whatever. I said, "No. I'm not going to pay for it because it's very expensive." That's because I was feeling uncomfortable with his attitude. So, I wanted to get rid of him. And then he said, "No, I can fix it for you. I can fix it for you." He was trying to bring the price down. Then I was like, "No. That's okay. My son will fix it." He was insistent that I would pay less. And then, he said, "Okay. $75 and we're done." I said, "$75 to fix it. Okay." The attitude was horrible. And then, he told me, "Okay. I wanted you to be happy with my service. There is a one year warranty." One week later the thing broke again. I called them and they said that there was no warranty. The person was completely stupid with me on the phone. Then the guy called me because he didn't know that it was the second time. He thought it was the first time service. So, I explained to him. I said, "Do you remember you came here two weeks ago?" He was like, "No. I don't remember." So, he started acting. He was like, "No. No. I don't know." I told him, "You told me there was a warranty of one year." He said, "No. I cannot go to your house for free." I said, "Well, but I paid already for the service and the thing is broken." And then he hangs up on my face. He wasn't very professional. They could have sent somebody who was more professional. It seemed to be a mafia because when I tried to call to complain, it was like they knew what to say. To me, it sounded like a mafia. They were saying that there was no guarantee on the service. It was a lie because the guy told me there was. They wanted to charge me again to come in to fix it.

  • I wouldn't do business with this company because one of their employees was driving the company van so irresponsibly and dangerously. If I needed the services of a locksmith, I'd rather pay double for any other locksmith than patronize this business.

  • Mark gave me a good quote prior to the work being done.  Eddie came and was able to fix the locks that I have and made them functional again.  I liked that.  Some companies will try to sell you things when you dont really need them.  This company is honest and this spoke volumes about them to me.  Eddie said I can fix what you have.  Great!
    It took all of about 30 minutes to repair the locks.  Quote came in within 30 bucks of the quote.  I will be recommending them to my family members for lock problems.

  • It was an Angie's List Big Deal. They were able to come promptly and they were on time. Interestingly their company was the one that had done the locks maybe 20 years ago so I knew the reputation of the company is very good. They are very local and very close to our house. They are almost neighborhood which always makes me feel better.

  • Tim was great!  He was helpful and patient.  I provided my own handles and then realized at the last minute that I needed mismatching handles for my front door.  He was so patient in allowing me to go and get them while he was there!  When I couldn't find it at the first store, he suggested where I should go and he would wait for me.  I was able to get it all done in good time and back to him to apply.  Once he had it all there, he realized we needed two minor accessories that were a specialty item.  He said he would call his supplier and call me back the next day.  He did and will be back to install both.  That and he was very kind and helpful and his attention to detail was very good.  I will definitely use him in the future for my locksmith  needs.

  • The overall experience was fantastic. Floyd offers free estimates, and I was able to schedule an appointment for 8 a.m. the day after I called. Joel came out to give the initial estimate and showed me the hardware options available. He made excellent recommendations based on the security level needed for our home, while factoring affordability into the equation.
    We decided to go ahead with the installation, and again I was able to schedule an appointment for 8 a.m. the day after I called. Joel came out again -- I definitely appreciated working with the same person for both appointments. He arrived on schedule for both visits, in a Floyd Security vehicle, wearing company apparel. He was exceptionally professional, extremely personable and very respectful of our home. He undersold himself a bit when he told me he's "more of a wood butcher than a wood doctor" because he produced fantastic results with the cutting and drilling he needed to perform! The new locks and knobs look great and perform flawlessly. He thoroughly cleaned  the work areas after he completed the job and took great care in removing installation debris and footprints he had left on the floor from the day's rain (we're a "shoes are okay" household).
    I am very pleased with the work and the overall experience with Floyd Total Security. Joel is good at what he does and clearly takes pride in his craft and workmanship. He has given me a great gift: better peace of mind in the security of our home.

  • Tim responded to our voicemail immediately and came out to replace three door handle locks and three deadbolts. Tim was very pleasant, professional, and answered all our questions. The price was, of course, higher than if we did it ourselves, but reasonable for getting it taken care of in about an hour and a half, and with the assurance of a professional job. Nice person and would highly recommend him.
