ANorthrup Remodeling, Roofing & ExteriorsWe needed someone to inspect our microwave roof vent to determine if it was operating properly. Christian from Northrup Roofing & Remodeling inspected the vent and determined it was working correctly but the microwave blower motor wasn't producing enough air flow. BNorthrup Remodeling, Roofing & ExteriorsWe live in a 100 year old house. The rafters in our original roof broke and we had a mess. We wanted to repair the structure and re-roof with metal because it's lighter. I went around our neighborhood and talked to 5 neighbors that had metals roofs and eventually landed on Northrup. However, it didn't go well. They did the repair right away, but it sat there, naked, for weeks. I had to hound them - I think because they were waiting on a subcontractor maybe. Finally, they came and did it on a weekend. Fast forward one year - some of the trim didn't get done near the dormer and the little roof over the front door. Mark White came out and fixed it immediately. Fast forward another year, discovered the top-level bathroom fan didn't get vented. HOWEVER!!!! Mark White busted his butt to make it right. The employee that managed the project is no longer there, but Mark really worked at making sure we were happy. I have to give Mark credit for tolerating my nagging and being not-so-happy with all the issues, yet making sure everything was corrected. The work and repairs were top shelf once everything got done. I'm not sure I would hire again after all this. I suspect it had something to do with the previous employee. Maybe there are new project managers now that are more on top of things.- Sally D.

He was professional, friendly and extremely dedicated to my roofing project. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable and respectful of my home. Patrick Miller Construction is a family owned and run company and it shows! My project didn't feel like just another project. I was treated like family. They went above and beyond. The communication was stellar from beginning to end. They made sure that everything was perfect and accommodated a last minute change to my roofing needs. I can't say enough about the service I received. My roof looks amazing . They cleaned every nail out of my yard making sure my dogs were safe. All Covid protocols were followed to make sure I was safe and sound. The follow up was amazing. Every person (including the owner and his son) that I met during this project was a joy to work with! APatrick Miller Construction IncI was referred to Patrick Miller Construction by an acquaintance of mine. She had positive experience, and I would echo that I too had a positive experience especially since I have never undergone any type of renovation such as this one in my life. I will say that Patrick Miller Construction prides itself on customer service and transparency. They contract with professional crews who are timely and efficient. Dave Moshu, our sales rep, was extremely patient and attentive as we worked through the selection of colors and materials. He was always present as we moved through each new phase of the project. I feel like I met the entire Patrick Miller staff either in person or by telephone as they kept me informed as we completed a phase and prepared for the next phase. Patrick, the owner, even helped me with the door selection, and Deb was extremely apologetic when the siding was delayed due to the pandemic and their supplier. Scheduling was timely, and other than the delay in the siding supplies (due to the supplier and the pandemic, not Patrick Miller), the work for each project was completed in a timely fashion. I would definitely work with Patrick Miller again as we think about our future exterior projects (pergola) and can confidently recommend them to others.- Theresa A.

AMy Lang VinZant representative, Ron Fry, was super service-oriented. He was extremely communicative throughout the project, and built confidence by being at my home (always Covid-19 safe) to personally ensure the materials, dumpster and crew were in place for the job. In addition, Ken VinZant came by to ensure the work was done to my satisfaction. Ken even replaced a gutter pipe, damaged during the job (so quickly, without fuss). Very impressive! I would use Lang VinZant again. My wife and I are very particular. We were completely satisfied with Lang VinZant, their representative, Ron Fry, and the great work they did.

AJoe, Travis, and the whole team stepped up after we initially committed to a different contractor, who we quickly discovered lacked communication and wouldn't finish the job in a reasonable time frame. We wanted a simple 2 car garage in South Minneapolis and we started in November and it was up well before the snow came this year. Bottom line: CHOOSE THESE GUYS, and NOT someone else.

AThis was the best experience I could have asked for. Our dream home and forever home was a complete success! Jason let us be apart of the process, and was very knowledgeable and honest. Our home is very unique all handicap accessible doors, hallways, bathrooms. This is the home we want to grow old in. He explained the pros and cons of ideas we had. Jason did all of the leg work getting all of the necessary professionals in and out getting jobs done. Jason and his team are very clean also, there was always a clean work area no matter what they were doing. Very professional work!! Well worth the money!!! If we need something done in the future Jason will be the one we call!

AJohn worked with me on prioritizing safety over "wish list". this 1906 house had been rewired very poorly. We broke it down into phases and 2 out 3 phases have been completed. Steve, who worked on my wiring and fixtures, replacing the old fuse box with breakers and setting the powerlines safely into the house was really great! All fixtures and routing in the basement 1,000 sq. feet, was done. Old useless stuff removed. Super clean, really great communication and lots of understanding. I would call John and his crew active listeners!

AI inherited multiple issues after moving into my house two years ago. Two large concrete sections of my driveway (adjacent to the garage) had sunk about an inch. This was causing issues with snowplowing in the winter and created a nice lip between the concrete and my garage floor, which was now cracking. The other major issue was I had a basement underneath my garage and was getting water leakage from that same area. Scott assessed the problem correctly, was able to replace the concrete sections, which fixed everything in my driveway and garage AND stopped the water leakage below! He did an amazing job and it's clear his 30 years of experience played a role in resolving these issues.

AWhile I had multiple estimates for the job, Mike showed the most attention to detail of any of the contractors during his estimate, which gave me confidence he would do great, and he did. During the basement office into a bedroom conversion, he ran into a few unforeseen problems such as mold behind a wall and a window behind the wall that neither of us knew was there. Mike let me know what the issues were and then gave me different options of what he could do to fix them. The bedroom turned out great and we've received a lot of compliments on it. MGE is very professional and great with communication, I highly recommend using them for a remodel.
