Countertop Installation reviews in Little Canada

    Hansen's Custom Countertop Services Inc
We were very satisfied with everything about this project. The time from first contact with Troy to completion of the project was about a month; the project itself took less than a day. Troy answered all our questions promptly and clearly, both in writing and verbally. The countertop installers (Wade and Chase) and the plumber (Tony) did excellent work; among their many talents, these guys are grout artisans!! We would definitely recommend Hansen's Custom Countertops to others considering an installer for their kitchen.

Excellent quality and workmanship. Distinctive Stone was a pleasure to work with. Their prices are the best. The attention to details and communication were outstanding. Kurt made excellent suggestions that I hadnt even thought of. It was an easy process from the beginning to the end and we are so pleased with how the new counters look!

The remodel went very well. I was especially pleased with John, the project manager, who was very responsive to my many questions. All of the craftsmen did a fine job and were very professional and friendly. The work was done in a timely fashion and the price was good. I have recommended this company to others several times already.

Janel was very patient in coming up with our kitchen remodel plan. She had good ideas to incorporate and listened to our desires. She was very responsive to our questions and concerns from the beginning to the end of the project. Most days she personally was at our house and making sure the workers were doing the remodel as specified on the plans. Janel had a good crew of workers, good contacts and guided us to good places for our lights, cabinet knobs, granite, sink, tile excreta. Janel carries several lines of cabinets and we are very happy with the workman ship and quality of the cabinets we ordered from her.

Victor was very responsive and helpful. He patiently answered all of my questions. When work was ready to start he detailed the project and set expectations for timing. He and his team were professional, responsive, and timely. They stuck to the schedule as promised and I felt they went above and beyond making sure the finished project was absolutely perfect. I would absolutely recommend them and work with them again.

    Dobervich Stone
After multiple estimates we hired Dan and Dobervich Stone to replace our old laminate kitchen countertops. During our first visit with Dan he showed us multiple samples and listened to our objectives. Based on those objectives he ran out to his truck, grabbed an additional sample and made a recommendation that immediately sold us. This guy knows his stone! His attention to detail and true craftsmanship put the final touches on our updated kitchen. The small recommendations that he made, regarding backsplashes, edges, and bevels were exactly what we were looking for. We would highly recommend Dan and his crew at Dobervich Stone for your countertop needs!

    Denny Meyer Custom Countertops
Denny did a great job. He has a lot of experience and it shows. He was helpful in answering my questions about laminate and even my sink. My house is old so the cabinets, sink, and countertops are non-standard size. We had a lot of communication back and forth via email and the phone. He replied promptly. Very reasonable price. I highly recommend Denny.

They got off on the right foot during the preliminary sales/design call.  It was important that Stephen was able to show us samples of alternative materials that could be used and make suggestions to get the project within our budget limits.  We. of course, had looked around prior for ideas and got other bids.  But, seeing all the samples together at our home and adjusting for budget and design purposes was invaluable and sealed the deal.
Scott did most of the work except for brief visits by the electrician and plumber.  He was easy to work with and responsive.  He answered all our questions.  He also asked a lot of questions and gave suggestions regarding positioning cabinets, alternatives for the baseboard, etc. to make sure everything looked the way we wanted it to.  He was efficient in getting a lot done in a given time period.  Damon, the production manager, was also very responsive especially when glitches happened  He did a good job during the initial walk through in pointing out potential obstacles to be overcome and telling us what to expect during construction.  He was also very good at the end in dealing with the little items which needed to be addressed to make the project completely finished to our satisfaction.
There were a couple of change orders which increased the cost but these couldn't have been foreseen.  The mortar bed in which the old tile was embedded was much much thicker than normal. This necessitated installation of an extra layer of subfloor material to get the finished vinyl floor to the proper level.  Also the old ceiling fan was vented just into the attic (as was done in the 70's) and not to the roof.  This had to be taken care of to meet present code.

    A to Z Contracting Inc.
We absolutely love our new bathroom!  Val was incredibly responsive throughout the bid and construction processes.  He and his colleague completed the project in four days and the quality is exceptional.
We really appreciated that he asked for input and approval on each phase of the project, including small details, such as the tint of the grout.  He was also quick to answer our questions throughout the process.  We made some changes to the original plan and he was very responsive and gave us an estimated cost for each change.  The final cost was exactly what we expected based on our original bid and the additional requests we made.
For the project, we purchased the tile, toilet, vanity, and paint and Val purchased the bathtub.  During the project, Val repaired our damaged sub-floor, but he believed that the floorboards underneath were weak, so he suggested that we install a steel bathtub instead of the acrylic tub we originally planned.  We appreciated his recommendation and his thorough explanation about why he was making this suggestion.  Val also picked up all of the tile we purchased and some additional pieces that we hadn't accounted for in our original purchase (e.g., additional bullnose tile and tile for the baseboards).
We would absolutely recommend Val and we are excited to work with him again in the future.

    Affordable Design Builders and Remodelers
We are extremely pleased with the results!  Our old bathroom was just plain worn out and we wanted to hire out the remodel (as opposed to DIY) because it's our only bathroom, and needed to be completed within a reasonable timeframe.  Roger worked with us on ideas for making the most of the odd space.  He also had good suggestions on selecting tile.
It took a little longer than we'd (naively) hoped, but with a house built in 1899 there are always some surprises. Roger and his team handled everything in stride!  The end result is a well-built bathroom that is easy to maintain with quality tile, built-in storage, a warm floor, and style that we can be proud of.
One more thing: about a year after the remodel, the thermostat for the heated floor went kaput.  Roger sent his electrician out to investigate, and they replaced the thermostat at no charge, just in time for winter!
