In 2017 I took estimates for the possibility of doing a garage rebuild/bathroom addition. While the garage project did not happen, I did decide to do just the bathroom addition, I reached back out to Ron for an estimate to the revised project, based on a number of reasons. The project did take all of the summer, mostly due to an issue with the tub I have chosen not meeting the city inspector's criteria, and the new tub (MAXX Kashmir) had a lead time of several weeks. The site manager, Wes, was indeed, as promised "my best friend" all summer long. Both Ron and Wes listened well to any of my concerns, and as unexpected things came up (there was not a foundation for part of the area where we expected one to be in the original plan.... the plumber that was originally planned to be used had an accident that prohibited him doing that part of the job), I felt things were very well communicated and appropriately managed. I was also impressed with the main carpenter/builder, Wayne. He took extra care to period matching things like trim and the like (more so than I had considered), and was careful with his work. I added the siding to the addition project (which also lengthened the summer timeline), as it was a project that I was planning to do if I ever plan to sell the place, and the timing to get it done seemed right. And, while the timeline for that part of the project did not meet my expectation, the crew was very mindful of the details and did excellent work (the house was built in 1900, and the project involved removing stucco that had been installed over another layer of exterior siding, and there were some under-repairs needed). My end-feeling was glad to have the work done right instead of fast, dirty, and cheap. Today, several months after the final inspection, I am very happy with the whole experience.

Very well. Laura is an experienced space designer and contractor who is creative, knowledgeable and fun. She, her staff and the craftspeople she arranges do great work. While she provides expert guidance, she also listens to the clients ideas and incorporates, expands or improves them. She and her staff are attentive to details, which is especially appreciated by less experienced customers.

Everything went very smoothly. Jim, the owner, was very pleasant he performed some of the work on garage himself. Jim came out very quickly and returned an estimate right away. The other office staff where in contact with me every step of the way and the work began shortly after we signed the contract, without delay. They provided copies of all documentation for insurances and licenses on request. The foreman for the roofing crew answered all questions we had. The workers where all very prompt, professional, and worked efficiently. When they where done everything was very tidy. We are very satisfied with the work.

The project went very well! The bid and contracting phase was handled professionally and quickly, and I felt like a good balance was struck between being sensitive to our budget constraints while at the same time making sure we were setting ourselves up for a realistic plan that would have satisfying results. We began the project on time and kept basically on schedule the whole time. Each work team was respectful and professional, and all the work was high quality. When any part of the project was giving them trouble (for example, cracks that reappeared in the newly mudded drywall due to slightly uneven old framing) they were very persistant in taking care of it and did not make me feel like I was bothering them for asking that they come back to resolve an issue. Mark Kesling was our project lead, and he was fantastic to work with. He was extremely responsible and responsive with his communications, always keeping me in the loop and never going very long between updates. He was very friendly, considerate (sneaking in quietly when he knew our toddler was napping), approachable and willing to listen. He was also very hard-working and willing to do what it took to keep the project moving. I had concerns about making sure some aspects of the project would meet with approval by city inspectors, and he handled all of that without any trouble - I had nothing to worry about. I also came into the project with some specific ideas and he welcomed my questions and preferences. He was able to provide solid guidance without overreaching (in other words, he didn't offer his personal options on matters of personal preference). And he was very understanding when I changed my mind about something or asked for additional work to be done. I think he is extremely skilled and well-suited to his work, and I would definitely recommend him, as well as the company overall.

Olin was attentive to details and to our needs:  we wanted shallow stairs, we wanted flower boxes, etc., and he took the time to figure out how to create a beautiful deck to our specs.  We also have an old, beloved tree that he had to build around--and he did so creatively and with regard for the health of the tree.  We would not hesitate to refer anyone to him, as he is so thoughtful and so skilled.  And we will call him in the future if we need a first-rate carpenter.

Worked with Steve Miller. He was great to work with - thorough and very experienced and brought up good ideas including how to deal with issues in the old roofing construction. Snafu in materials delivery to our site slowed down the crew for a couple of hours at one point but they still polished off quality work in a single day. With the white EPDM, our roof surface temperature (on a 90 degree July day) fell from 160F degrees to 95! Will see how it goes this winter when we finally get staying-snow.

While searching for a company to do the remodel we interviewed a few different contractors.  Ultimately, we chose WCC based on our positive initial interaction with them, their design software and their detailed and thoroughly documented bid/design process.

On our first call to WCC we spoke to Katie, a designer, who talked to us about our ideas, budget and general scope of what we wanted to do.  About a week later we had a meeting at our property to evaluate the project further.   This was followed by measurements, photos, and estimates.

The design process was very detailed and thorough.  Katie took the necessary time to understand not only the makeup of our home, but also our style, our budget, and our goal to make our living space functional with how we live.  Her commitment to understanding our goals built instant trust in her.  One thing we appreciated about the design process with WCC was their 3D design software that allowed us to visualize our ideas; this was incredibly helpful.  We are both visual people and would not have been able to envision our project through blue prints alone.  We appreciated the fact that the design meetings took place in their comfortable office space with the proper technology and samples available to make the decision process a lot smoother.  WCC was flexible and took our schedules into account when planning design sessions. Katie was very helpful in would could have been a very overwhelming time, there are so many decisions that need to be made but she always kept us on track and had thoughtful options that showcased our style.

The construction process was set to take just over 3 months to complete.  We received a detailed calendar of the project milestones and completion dates.  Though we were not living at the home, WCC treated the jobsite like a lived in remodel. Given our excitement level, we visited two or three times per week to check out the progress and they did a very nice job keeping the worksite clean at the end of each day.  We were amazed at the level of coordination and how quickly they progressed.  After the first week the house was gutted and the addition was framed.

Throughout the construction process we met with Noah, our project manager, multiple times to walk through the house to ensure their work was meeting our expectations.  The craftsmanship definitely exceeded my high expectations.   We appreciated Noah?s end of week updates on the progress of the project and his calm, confident demeanor which allowed us to relax knowing the project was in good hands.   We also felt it a positive that Katie (our designer) stayed engaged throughout the process to ensure that our plans translated appropriately into the work that was being done.

We felt White Crane was quick to respond to any concerns or questions that came up.  Example: after the sheetrock was complete, we noticed one of the doors to be smaller than we expected.  Once our project manager was made aware of this, the door was reframed the next day.

Overall WCC did a beautiful job with the home.  They kept the character/design of a 1946 house while incorporating many updates as well.  They added new archways perfectly matching the originals, renovated existing 1946 cabinets turning them into a wet bar, and transitioned new wood flooring into original wood flooring, seamlessly!

We love our new home.  We have received so many compliments from friends/neighbors, even from others in the remodeling business.  We are very pleased with WCC?s work and would definitely recommend them to others.

They got off on the right foot during the preliminary sales/design call.  It was important that Stephen was able to show us samples of alternative materials that could be used and make suggestions to get the project within our budget limits.  We. of course, had looked around prior for ideas and got other bids.  But, seeing all the samples together at our home and adjusting for budget and design purposes was invaluable and sealed the deal.
Scott did most of the work except for brief visits by the electrician and plumber.  He was easy to work with and responsive.  He answered all our questions.  He also asked a lot of questions and gave suggestions regarding positioning cabinets, alternatives for the baseboard, etc. to make sure everything looked the way we wanted it to.  He was efficient in getting a lot done in a given time period.  Damon, the production manager, was also very responsive especially when glitches happened  He did a good job during the initial walk through in pointing out potential obstacles to be overcome and telling us what to expect during construction.  He was also very good at the end in dealing with the little items which needed to be addressed to make the project completely finished to our satisfaction.
There were a couple of change orders which increased the cost but these couldn't have been foreseen.  The mortar bed in which the old tile was embedded was much much thicker than normal. This necessitated installation of an extra layer of subfloor material to get the finished vinyl floor to the proper level.  Also the old ceiling fan was vented just into the attic (as was done in the 70's) and not to the roof.  This had to be taken care of to meet present code.

We had previous experience with Justin building a wheel chair ramp for my Mother-in-law and it was a no brainer to have him do this job for us.this job came around in a odd way, we brought Justin in to remodel the kitchen after our initial meeting I decided that I could live with the kitchen but not with our old siding and we changed directions. Justin and his project manager , Kristina, came on time prepared with sample the siding we had decided on and and then we discussed windows( that's another review). After measurements were taken another appointment with all the final price quotes we started. Justin and his crew were always on time if coming late they always called. They worked very efficiently and safe of course with the age of our house and siding they did find some wood rot and it was repaired properly. We did have days of rain when they couldn't work but they always seemed ahead of the game. Friends would ask how we liked their work and we couldn't have nicer things to say about their work ethics and the quality of their work. As I would tell neighbors who passed by that complimented on the work being done and quot; they do good work, they don't mess around and they clean up real good at the end of the dayand quot; . One of the other good things is that we stayed within our quote and he added the right amount of padding to cover all those unseen damages that we came across. From our work with Justin and our praise of his work he did get another job from one of our neighbors. Would we work with him again? Yes, he will always be our go to guy for any of our projects big and small.you can't go wrong with Monettes Decorating and Remodeling.

    Rent A Husband
Stephen came promptly and well-prepared with all the tools and items needed to do the jobs on the list ? and even one not on the list.  He quickly and quietly went about his tasks, asking for input and explaining things when needed. When he spotted the ill-working light switches, he replaced them without a fuss.  He's a good problem solver and was able to work through the issues with our pocket door and dormer vent.  He explained in detail the problem with each, so we could readily explain them to a contractor who had the equipment and laborers to do those jobs. His charge for the service was very reasonable. We would definitely ask him for help again.
