Tom was extraordinarily responsive, professional and helpful. He came out and diagnosed my issue, even though it is not really work that he does. I have not met many contractors who are as kind, responsive, professional, and helpful when they are just passing off work. So, when I do need a new roof, windows or a remodel, Tom will be the very first person I will call - every time! In the meantime, he went the extra mile and connected me with someone who could help me with the wet basement and made sure the hand-off went smoothly. He even advised me on some gutter and other issues. Truly a top notch guy! I would recommend him every time. A+

Seth did a great job of explaining the project and answering all my questions. I was very impressed with the promptness, professionalism and friendliness of the workers: Seth, Corey, Ryan, Derrick and Juan. Ryan even repaired two unrelated downspouts. I was very pleased and would recommend them to friends and family.

They stood me up twice for my appointment. The second time I triple checked with the receptionist that they had my phone number, time, and date all correct, and again I took off work to meet with the engineer and was stood up a second time. The first time I was stood up I thought maybe there was a bad connection. I could hear the receptionist clearly, but when I called the second time it turned out she had both the time and the phone number down incorrectly. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but the second time it happened again, despite repeating everything three times. No call, no show x2. Time to find somebody else.

It was very good. They did the work and they did a fine job. There were 3 workers the first day and 2 the second day. It took a day in half. It was great! They're professional, cleanliness, and there timing stood out.  I didn't even know they were there.

Justin is the owner of this company. He is at every job, along with 2-3 employees. He presented his proposal with great detail, and is detail oriented. Very professional, respectful, and courteous is their MO. He would show me what they had done at the end of the day, and would explain what would be done the next day. He stayed on the schedule that he had presented. All in all, a very satisfactory job was completed.

Seth came on Saturday the 3rd to give us an estimate on our basement, which has had water problems.  He agreed that it was most likely the window that was causing the water to leak in, and that replacing the window would be a good first step before a more expensive drainage system.  He double checked the basement walls to make sure there was no bowing, and pointed out some areas that could use better grading to keep water flowing away from the house.  He also gave us some input on how to repair some crumbling mortar between the blocks on the interior wall.
We opted to replace all the basement windows rather than just the one, and to have window wells dug to improve drainage.  He told me that he would be in touch to schedule a date, and they were able to fit us in on Monday the 6th.  Corey and Seth came and did all the work, including filling in a couple of cracks on the exterior of our home.  They did exceptional work, were professional, courteous and cleaned up after themselves.  They even put the dirt dug out of the window wells in the area we specified, rather that us having to move it ourselves.  The black dirt they brought in was of excellent quality, and they put it onto the tarp I provided and covered it.
Overall we were EXTREMELY impressed with this company and Seth and Corey in particular.  We would not hesitate to use them again, although hopefully we've solved our water problems!

    Beaver Basement Water Control
After we had water in our basement, we called Beaver Basement after reading reviews on Angie's List and checking out some other resources.  Jim Cotten from Beaver promptly called us back and provided great immediate advice and set up a time to come out the next day.  He was totally professional and very friendly and understanding of our frustration with our situation.  He gave us a clear plan for fixing the grading around our house that was very affordable and would likely fix our problem once and for all.  When I asked about the drain tile system and sump pump, he put no pressure on us at all.  He said he'd be happy to do it to give us the piece of mind and guarantee a dry basement forever, but was clear that there was a less expensive option with just the grading and gutters since price was a major concern for us.  We decided to ask for an estimate on a full basement waterproofing system in addition to the gutters and grading.  Beaver's price was significantly lower than another company in the business, and the professionalism and empathy for our situation from Beaver and Jim was many times higher than the competitor.
So Jim and his crew from Beaver did the work promptly and quickly, and even when they ran into a problem with our unique foundation and basement floor in our old house, he did not change the price at all even though it required more labor and time from his crew.  And when cutting drywall was needed and then needed replacing, Jim was able to refer one of his guys to do that work.  So it's one-stop shopping with Beaver, and they are easy to work with, and extremely professional, and most of all - VERY FAIR!  I would recommend Beaver Basement to anyone.

Our sump pump was making a humming noise over a recent somewhat rainy weekend.  We moved into our home just over two years ago and the sump pump had always worked.  However the home is nearly 20 years old and we have no history on if or when the pump had ever been replaced (ditto for the back-up battery). They were able to schedule a technician for later in the day, then called back because another tech in the area happened to be running ahead of schedule... could he come by sooner?  Sure!  I asked for a rough estimate of services (if sump pump and battery had to be replaced) and in the end was charged what I had been quoted.  Rob was polite, professional and explained what I needed to know.  Work was completed within an hour.  I contacted Standard Water because of the positive reviews here on Angie's list - we are very pleased with their service and wouldn't hesitate to contact them again.

During the estimating process, there was some confusion about what size window well we needed for the egress window. On site however, Jose' had everything well under control. The installation went very well and they totally cleaned up the job site. Very nice people to work with and they do quality work.

I actually had to wait a few months because it was a very wet winter and everyone was getting drain tile installed so it was very popular. I liked the drain tile product that they would be installing They were slightly cheaper and were able to install the drain tile slightly faster than the other companies I got quotes from. They did the installation in a shorter period of time. They were able to do it in two days when other people said it would take three or four days. I would definitely use them again if I needed more drain tile installed.
