    We had loss of suction in our central vac system. Our home warranty company had no one in their network to service the system and so, we were tasked with locating our own repair service provider. I found Johnston's on Angie'sList. I called on Monday morning and explained the situation, including the request of the home warranty company to speak with a service provider before any work was done.
    The repairs were completed Wednesday evening (he kindly worked around our work schedule). Jeff was courteous, professional and, knowledgeable. He replaced a section of pipe that was too short, restoring our loss of suction. I think it might actually be BETTER than before it broke!
    Jeff was more than happy to speak to our home warranty company, unfortunately, they kept him on hold for over an hour!!
    Thank you for your flexibility, courtesy, professionalism and dedication to getting the work done, Jeff!

    These people don't honor their word! Told me my vacuum would be ready on Wednesday. Fine. I will pick up Thursday morning. fine he says. It will be ready. I show up Thursday morning to find a note stating they wont open until 1:00. Sorry for the inconvenience. I show up at 1:00. No one there. @ 1:40 someone shows up. I ask for my vacuum, oh it's not ready yet. Seriously. I said I was told it would be ready this morning. "Well I don't know anything about that. If the other guy said so I can't do anything about it." I left. He calls 40 minutes later. It's ready. I go to pick it up,no I'm sorry, no apologies nothing. No discount for my inconvenience. I said I will not be back and as I walk out the door Mike says "I hope not" REALLY?!?!?!? Nice costumer service.

    .My vacuum had lost a lot of suction and the switch on the handle was not working.
    Jeff worked in the garage and cleaned the main unit. There was a lot of debris caught in the lines in the garage. He vacuumed and cleaned out each one.  He serviced each port in the house, upstairs and down. He vacuumed and blew out each as needed.
    The switch on the handle was not working for the bare floor feature.  He repaired the switch and replaced a worn belt.
    He also ran a cleaning cloth thru each port and our vacuum hose.
    I would  recommend Johnstons Sales and Service for anyone with a central vacuum. I'm glad I found them on Angies List!!

    It went very well. I was waited on immediately as I approached the Service Desk. The technician accompanied me to my vehicle and lifted the carpet cleaner out and brought it into the store for me. We discussed the problem - not extracting water from the carpet. He looked it over and told me generally that's due to one of the covers on the machine not being securely in place. He monkeyed around with it for a minute or two and the lid on the dirty water container snapped into place. He started it up and put his hand by the brushes to see if there was suction. There was, so he said he thought it would work okay now and I could take it home and give it another try - no charge. I was surprised and asked if he would recommend further servicing of the machine. He explained they have a maintenance service where they check the belts, lubricate moving parts, thoroughly clean up the machine, etc. and it costs $44. This sounded great since I was originally thinking I might need to replace it at a cost of over $300. I left it on Friday and was told it would be done by the following Wednesday. On the promise date they called me to say it was ready. When I picked it up and paid for the service the same technician brought the carpet cleaner out to my vehicle and loaded it in for me. They also sell/service Dyson vacuums. I was given a quote of $80 to thoroughly clean my Dyson. This seemed reasonable based on our experience of trying to dismantle and clean it ourselves.

    Worth the drive! I bought our Hoover vacuum cleaner according to ConsumerReports recommendation, but was disappointed that the internal plastic parts became brittle so quickly (very low-quality plastics used in the manufacturing). Anderson explained that by replacing the broken internal parts and belts, the suction would be restored (it was) and the vac. Could last another 5yrs or so. Rarely have I been so content w service. I am helping save the environment AND saving $$! They have a hard time keeping their store dusted, but far worth the inconvenience.
