He was open and honest in all his statements to us and finished the work on time and for the price we agreed to .A year later the basement floor still looks great and we are very happy with how the beautiful design improved the appeal of Fellowship Hall.

it went great!  Traci and Todd came out to meet with us and talk about what our needs and vision were.  I had some glass tile that i wanted incorporated in the back splashes and I had an odd shaped island/bar area counter top previously that just didn't work with the flow of the kitchen.  They came up with a design that improved the flow and took a congested simple area and made it beautifully dramatic.   I had no idea what was possible with colors, edge detail and custom shapes and they helped bring it all together --- so very happy!

LOVE these!!!  When I was looking at my options and planning my project and budget, they came out (traveled 80+ miles) just to help me understand the product and what was possible and I was amazed at just how customized they could be.     They asked about how I use the space and the feeling/look that I was trying to achieve and provided me with a number of options.  When I decided to go with decorative concrete, they came back and made an exact template of the cabinets I was covering so that the final tops would fit exactly.  They were always available for questions by phone and when I wasn't able to reach them they were very prompt in returning my calls,    We decided on integral sinks for the bathroom so the cost of separate sinks was eliminated.  Because they had other projects in process, I had to wait until I was in their queue and it turned out to be about six weeks before they could start.  They completed them in two weeks and the install was flawless.  It was well worth the wait and we are now talking about plans for an outdoor kitchen.  I would highly recommend them. For anyone considering their counter top options, I would encourage you to look at all of the costs of the other options - edge profile, cutouts, sink costs, etc.  It was my experience that all of those things add up and in the end, the decorative concrete is very competitive and like nothing else you see on the market.

I am so happy with the results.  I was a little skeptical of concrete counter tops until I saw some of the projects Stone Top Surfaces did.  They worked with me on the design and colors and even did an extra piece - an end cap for the stairway knee wall that had an impression of cattails incorporated in it.  The colors were beautiful and the result exceeded my expectations.  It really feels like a piece of art in my home.  The were professional and answered all of my questions on  the product, care and maintenance of it.   The installation was done professionally and on time.

    Skeel's Concrete Resurfacing
Excellent work and a equally good experience. Skeel's was one of 3 bids and the only one I felt totally confident in using. I visited 2 previous customers and both looked great and the customers were very happy with the results. The job took 2 days and looks great. Would definitely use him again and recommend him.

    Skeel's Concrete Resurfacing
Jon Skeel gave us last of 3 bids. He was the only one of the 3 that had Angie's ratings, but he only had one job that was rated. I felt a little nervous about that, but the other contractors did not have any. No other contractors had ratings. The first contractor was like a used car salesman and I couldn't wait until he left the house. The second was much better, but the samples he showed us didn't impress us. Jon was the 3rd and was very professional about presenting us with options and explaining the process. He also had some good looking samples that were also much larger than the others. You really need to see a large chunk to get an idea what a whole patio, sidewalk, or whatever will look like. This by no means was the deciding factor, but he also was the lowest price. We went to look at two jobs he had completed and talked to the homeowners. The work looked great. One looked brand new and when we asked how old it was, the homeowner said 5 years. We were amazed. The homeowners also said Jon was very professional. That sold us. Since we were a small job, he was able to schedule us about 10 days out. The whole job took 2.5 days. They were very meticulous and did a great job cleaning up afterwards. Our neighbors are quite impressed. Additional note. Make sure your contractor knows what he/she is doing and has experience. Jon has been doing this for 12 years and the quality shows. A less than reputable or inexperienced contractor can mess it up. This process is not like pouring concrete. It is part science and part artistry. The only thing that concerned me at first was that Jon didn't return calls within an hour, but when I saw him working on our patio, I realized there is no time to stop and take calls once the process is started. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

    Zen of Concrete
Once the sink was installed and paid for, our local inspector (St. Louis Park) informed this company that concrete was not a legal plumbing fixture material in the state of Minnesota. Using a professional business that creates and sells its own plumbing fixtures (as well as being licensed contractors), one would expect to be sold a product that complies with the Minnesota plumbing code. After hearing from the inspector, this company then stated that they were committed to resolving this issue. However, after a great deal of time, unanswered and/or unreturned phone calls, this company has finally told us that they are not responsible for any form of compensation whatsoever. We are now stuck with an illegal sink in our new addition.
