    Matthew Berven DDS
He's very professional, very friendly, very thorough and we have been using him for 27 years. I always get in when I need to. A few years ago, my son had a situation with his tooth. I did call him and he took care of it. They're very friendly. Communication is excellent.

The cleaning appointments always go well, their staff is courteous and caring.  My one issue is that they are not a Delta Dental/BC/BS in network provider and so your out of pocket costs can be a little higher.  I would say generally they are worth it.  However, if they give you a referral, be careful as they referred me to an out of network provider that would have been significantly more expensive had I not gone out and found my own in network specialist.

    Associated Dentists
After reading good reviews on Angie's List for this provider, I thought I would give them I try. This was my first vist at this dental office. The office is very nice and easy to find with convenient parking. I was not at all satisfied with the length of my visit.
I do not have a complicated dental situation. My previous appts with my former dentist usually take 30-40 minutes. My appt with Associated Dentists lasted 2 hours 15 minutes and yet was still a routine cleaning and check up. This made me quite late for work.
When I arrived on time for my 8:30AM appt, I waited more than 5 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to help me. She was very courteous and apologetic when she arrived to help me and she was prompt in checking me in. I then waited for about 30 minutes to be called for my appointment. I was told that the patient before me was taking longer than expected. Though I was expecting to be on my way about that time (9:10), I understand things happen.
The cleaning took about an hour. Much longer than I am used to. There was alot of clicking back and forth with the computer and I'm not sure why. She'd check a few teeth and click on the computer, check a few teeth, click the computer. This added alot of time to the cleaning process. She did a good job cleaning, but hit the same gum recession twice which sent a jolting pain into my jaw. Other than that, the actual cleaning was fine although lengthy. After that, I waited another 30 minutes for the dentist who I was told was extracting a tooth in another room. They offered to reschedule after I had waited 30 minutes and I considered doing that but decided to wait another 5 minutes. They were able to bring another dentist in to do the exam. It was a thorough exam and I have no complaints about the exam itself, again, just the length of time I waited was a problem.
I do not know if I will go back. The office is very nice and the staff was friendly but I can't afford to take that much time away from work for a dental appt.

    Harper, Dr. Robert M.
He is very gentle and friendly; he makes you feel comfortable. They are always prompt; very rarely do I sit and wait; the only time I did was because they had an emergency come in. They don't sell you work that you don't need; that's what I like.

My wife is very happy with them. She was very thorough and professional. She gave me a lot of information. They give a lot of information on a person to person level. The dentist was very knowledgeable. She was engaged in a professional manner. She also treats breathing and sleep apnea kind of treatment. We are very happy with her.

    Bergh, Dr. Gary L
Dr. Bergh is very experienced. He is also a dental instructor at the University of Minnesota. He is very efficient and there is not a lot of fluff. It is easy to call and make an appointment. It is a small office, there are only about seven people who work there. They are all very personable. They are always very nice and polite when I go in.

They are wonderful. The dentist I saw was very efficient. She was very informative and made sure that everything was covered. She did wonderful work and I dont know of absolutely anything that I would want to change.

I see different dentists each time I go there. The last visit was for an annual check-up and cleaning and it went very well. The staff was very professional and courteous. They were also responsive and punctual.

I have gone to him for about 5 years, and I am very dental shy. He can really put me at ease and makes me comfortable. He uses just that right amount of nitrous oxide. The last time I went there, I didn't even need any. The office staff there is very helpful and will really assist you with insurance issues.
