    I phoned this business to have a waterline fixed on my fridge and agreed to an appointment after the noon hour the next day, I told him I work out of the house so come at anytime. He did call beforehand and my phone was in silent mode, he came to the house and stated he knocked and left his business card for a call back. I called back, apologized twice the phone issue, and told him I was home working down stairs and I didn't hear a knock at the door(this seems strange since my office is about 20 feet from the front door and I receive packages by knocking delivery people constantly. Also, he also didnt ring the door bell which would have caused my dog to go nuts barking). I asked to reschedule and was told that he took this as "a sign" and he refused to reschedule!!!! Thank goodness my waterline didn't blow completely out. It seems this company's idea of service opperates in the metaphsical world of "signs" and mistakes aren't supposed to happen. This is taken off the website: "Have you ever noticed how hard it is to get honest, experienced professional help these days. Every where you go is a new headache, very disappointing. Not here at Minneapolis Appliance Repair Service Co. in the Twin Cities. We treat each and every client and service call the way we would want to be treated." Apparently the way they want to be treated is rude, and don't worry about your waterline busting its just a "sign"

    Bonfes Plumbing Heating & Air Service Inc
    I'm a Bonfe's peace of mind customer for several years. This summer, my air conditioner died right in the middle of the heat wave. I contacted Bonfes and a repair guy was sent out asap. Paid the $75 which would be put towards my purchase, if I chose to purchase with them. Nice guy, very professional who had installed a furnace just 2 years ago. He gave us 3 quotes which included two discounts ($4,900/good, $5,200/Better and $5,500/Best). I told him that I needed to get other bids and glad that I did. There were three additional bids, and all of them were lower and had the same AC (compared apples to apples, and Honey Crisp to Honey Crisp). Ended up going with the $2,800 bid from Binder. Love the AC unit, price and installation guys. I'm very irritated that Bonfes was (in my opinion) over charging me. I'm even more irritated that I paid them $75 just to come to my home and sell me a AC unit at an inflated price.

    Bill is outstanding. Came out quickly after my first call, immediately diagnosed the problem with my KitchenAid dishwasher, ordered the part and came back and installed it. More than reasonable with his rates. Quite frankly he should charge more for his time.

    I had issues with the price, skill of the technician and service manager. On the day of the appointment the technician called and asked if he could come early because he lived nearby. I adjusted my schedule to accommodate him. He had a hard time diagnosing the problem, asked me if I had the schematic for the microwave. After looking for it I pointed out to him it was glued to the inside of the cover. He had a difficult time determining the issue and finally found a burned spot on a board. The microwave had to be taken down to be diagnosed. I told him he could leave it down to save time when he came back. Unfortunately they wanted to charge me a full removal and replacement because they use a flat rate based on the part being replaced. When they called to schedule the appointment I asked to speak with the service manager to see if they could work with me on the rate. She called and said she had never been on a service call, gave me the flat rate story and said there was nothing she could do. I don't have any confidence in them for repairing appliances when the service manager doesn't have any knowledge about what services are being performed.

    Merit Appliance Repair
    Provider showed up late.  (gave me a window of 3-5 pm on friday , June 5th 2015 but showed up at 6:45).  Did not have the proper part for my fridge because he wrote the model number down wrong and couldn't find my fridge parts.So he had to come back on Sunday to finish the job.  The part needed was $60 and he charged me another $160 for labor.   I worked a long afternoon shift at work that night and came home to find out that the ice maker was not working and the light in the freezer no longer worked when door opened.  So I had to remove the ice maker and take apart the associated parts to get to the electrical connections and found out that he neglected to hook up two of the electrical connections.  Also he must have been in a hurry to get done because the freezer wasn't even put back together properly (panels weren't properly secured to back wall)  Needless to say I am not a satisfied customer and will not be recommending this company.  Also, I was not even offered a receipt for the work performed.  Definitely not worth the money I paid the man to perform this repair.  I hope other service providers on Angies list have more attention to detail or I will not be renewing my subscription next year.

    My stacking washing machine wasn't working, and BC Appliance came and replaced a blown fuse inside the washing machine, checked the machine, and also cleaned the interior central washer tube that had some buildup. He fixed the washing machine so that it now works. He is quite responsive when you call him. We were able to get an appointment within a few days of calling him, which was great since other appliance specialists we had called were all booked up for the next several weeks. We didn't want to hunt down singles and quarters for the local laundromat all month, so we made an appointment. I would probably use BC Appliance again instead of waiting weeks and weeks for other local appliance specialists in my town to have openings. After he left I discovered that the central tube of the washer was not put back together, but it was easy for me to put it back together. It seems like the stacking unit wasn't pushed back into place all the way because it now squeaks when the stacked dryer is running. Stacking washing machine units are very heavy to move and I hear they are difficult to service, so I can see how it is tricky to move them in and out of place. In the weeks after he was here we discovered a leak under the shutoff tap for the water line that connects to the washing machine, so we're not sure why that showed up. The shutoff taps were incredibly stiff and hard to turn before he came, and while he was here the taps had to be adjusted to turn off the water before servicing, so it may have just been an unavoidable incident that would have showed up sooner or later regardless of who serviced the washing machine. Who knows.

    I bought a 20 year old home last year.  The buyer was to pay for a home warranty plan, and the closing company had lined up some other home warranty company.  I looked at reviews on them, and they were terrible.  So, I found these guys with an A rating on Angieslist and switched it to them.  It was a tiny bit more expensive, but home warranty programs generally have a bad reputation and the positive reviews on these guys made it seem worth it.
    Basically, you call the number and file a claim over the phone, they give you a list of people in your area that they can pay directly (although you can use whomever you want as long as you get the dollar amount approved first and are willing to be reimbursed after paying the repair guy).  Super easy.
    They fixed my furnace twice, which was a couple hundred bucks each time.  And, they replaced my dishwasher motor and control panel, which worked out to $450.  They have limits on what they will pay to fix, and if they won't fix it, they'll give you money towards a new appliance.  I believe it would have only been $100-200 towards a new dishwasher, so it would have been cheaper for them to just refuse to repair mine.  But, the person on the phone talked to a manager, and they paid the full amount to have it fixed which they contractually were not required to do.  
    These guys are awesome.  If you're buying a home warranty or buying a house and the seller is paying, go with these guys.  Very happy.

    It's been over ten years and they were very, very good back then. I always thought that he was fair in what he did and they were dependable on everything. I had a dishwasher that he had to repair and he told me how much it would cost to repair it so I just asked him to get me a new one. I really trusted him. I thought he was competitive on pricing and I felt that he was honest and nice to deal with.

    We have been dealing with Jesse for over a year just trying to get the work done. He never shows up, and when he does it is to collect money for work that he doesn't finish. Never pay this man up front for the work to be completed! He will come to your house, collect the money say he is coming the next day and then he will not show up. Or he will ask for a downpayment on the work, do a little bit of the work and then say he will be back the next day to finish the work and then he will not answer his phone or do what he is supposed to do and the job just sits there half finished. When we call to remind him about our job, he tells us that he is busy working somewhere else. What about our job??? He constantly changes phone numbers and addresses, and is constantly changing business names. He doesn't want you to know where he lives and tries to hide from you. He will borrow your tools to work on other jobs and he will not give you your tools back claiming he will bring them back "tomorrow", and he never does. Don't fall for his lies or tricks, when you first meet him it will seem like he will be an upfront kind of guy and he knows a lot of stuff, he is a jack of all trades. His dad owned a construction company so he knows a lot of stuff, that is why we chose him to do our job. Now we have to pay out more money for someone else to come and finish all the work that he has left. When you sit down with him to give you quotes for the jobs, the quotes are reasonable, but don't fall for that like we did because he will come up with all these piddily "extra" charges that were not included in the contract and you end up paying a lot more anyways. Don't let this happen to you!!

    Contacted A-1 to see if our fridge could be repaired.  He gave us a consult over the phone, came to our house, repaired it promptly and for a very reasonable price.  Couldn't be happier with the work he did & wish more repair people were like him.  Has a "fix it first" mentality.
    Gave his name to our neighbors and understand he repaired the A/C system for them.  Again - they were thrilled because others came in trying to sell them a new system. 
    Bottom Line:  You can trust him and the advice!
