Mark and his crew are very professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. Mark was very helpful in helping us to understand what needed to be done on the deck and entrance overhang and in explaining our options. Once we decided on a plan, the crew was here in about 2 weeks and worked on the project until it was done. They were also very careful to clean up the work areas every day. Everything came out perfectly and we would highly recommend Mark and his crew.

The project was not completed.Contractor did not perform as specified in their signed contract and walked off job prior to our refusing to advance any more funds after the project was a year behind schedule. Contractor was paid 90% of contract for 65% of work completed. Contractor did not pay all sub contractors. Much of the completed work did not pass inspection (including installation of bathtub; bathroom medicine cabinet, bathroom fans; a large portion of the electrical throughout the structure and more) and required us to hire additional people to re-do, repair or complete. In addition to that, many facets are failing and will require complete demo and re-do.

Great experience all around. Very timely. Very honest. Very efficient. High quality. Excellent customer service. I would recommend them without reservation. Will recommend them to others.
Matt and Dan were excellent with which to work. The guys who did the actual roofing were great, considerate, picked up once the project was finished and during the project. Definitely worth the money and time.

It went well, he called prior to arrival as requested, and called again when he became detained 10-15 minutes in traffic...after arriving though he got right to work and performed admirably and we would not hesitate to use Matt again...

    RAVEN BUILDERS
Raven Builders executed the work within the range of our cost and time estimates while still maintaining very high quality and attention to detail including safety which were all important factors for me.  The owner (Lon) worked patiently with our changing needs and gave us good information and options. We plan on hiring Raven Builders again for our future home improvement projects.

The building process is an uneven playing surface. If you can get accurate bids the lowest one usually will have work change orders in the near future. Primarily because either it truly is unforseen or it's needed to enable a profit by the lowest bidder. It's a game played to secure the job. You can't get enough bids for the major parts of the build. These are the make or break the bank bids. If you have lets say a problem with the foundation or supplier or roof, this will stop everything in its tracks. No work can continue till resolution. This is the rub, you are paying interest on a construction loan, these days supply prices are unstable and will certainly go up, all the leverage is in the hands of the sub and they know it. This risk has to be fettered out prior to hiring by careful bid scrutiny and self education and trusted consultaion. Remember the work change order is supposed to keep you out of court. In my case I hired a trusted main player to provide accurate timely technical information. He failed to and the only way to regain controll of the project was to shelve it. That was a very difficult decision to come to. I will certainly be posting that guy and the company he represents soon.
