ADesigner FenceThe project went exceeding well in difficult circumstances. Several contractors (including others on Angies List) would not quote the project due to time of year or material shortages - John Bloom of Designer Fence said he would and did. The weather was cold, John had to scour the countryside for materials, his team worked late days and weekends and got the job done on time. In addition to material availability issues, I live in an area with a difficult building inspector/permit process and John navigated that without issue. Two of my neighbors really like the work and asked for John's contact information as a result. The whole process was very nicely done and professional.- Stan C.

The materials were excellent quality with 10-year installation and 15-years on materials. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and our job was completed in the time frame they gave us. ATop Notch FenceAwesome! Rob was so easy to work with. Communicated well and was willing to work around some other work we were having done in the yard. His crew was very nice to talk to and respectful of my property (as well as my neighbors). It looks great and my neighbors also think it is a beautiful looking fence. I would hire them again in a blink, everything went very smoothly. I did get a couple of quotes from other companies but I appreciated Rob's style and how quickly he got back to me. He was right in line with others. I did have one company give me a bid that was higher and I had scheduled it with them but when I checked their Angie's reviews they were terrible. Crossed them off and found Top Notch and I am very happy I did.- Mary S.

CThere were a number of issues that occurred in the building of my fence. The spacing of the pickets were not uniform, my gutter was damaged, the gates were not hung equal distance from the ground, my neighbor’s gate wouldn’t close after my new gate was installed. It was one thing after another. But I will say that the owner of the company listened to my concerns and fixed all the issues.

FSet up a date and time to have an on site estimate done and I got a no call no show. I called two hours after the agreed upon time to come out and he wanted to come “right now” I had a prior commitment and could not meet until 7 pm or the following day. He said he could have one of his guys come by the next day and I replied Does 7 pm tonight or what time the following day could you have someone out? I did not receive a call or text back. I gave this gentleman every opportunity to come and bid my job, probably more so than I should have. So, it’s unfortunate that I have to leave a poor review. However, a no call no show twice, equals no job in book.

DWas told that they would not warranty a green treated fence so we went with cedar. Good communication when it was being installed and looked very nice. Later I found out they will not warranty their work. We had some warped and split boards and a bunch that were only nailed at the top, sent emails, no response. Paid $11,500 for a fence without a warranty.
