  Frustrated by three years of a non-functioning Golden Lite scooter, I brought it to Handi Medical in St. Paul - and their technician, 35-year veteran Perry. Easygoing and knowledgeable, he invited me to the back room to watch him diagnose and repair. He determined a broken ignition switch was the problem, probably caused by a jammed key which the seller never told me about. He not only fixed it, he installed a used part, for free - and gave me a key chain and two free copies of keys in case I lose the original, which is very small. In addition, Perry load-tested my battery, then charged it full and assured me the batteries and charger were fine, which I had thought was the problem. He gave me tips on cold-weather maintenance of batteries, advice on re-selling it and its estimated value - and even told me to tip the scooter on its side if pushing it long distances while in neutral. For all of that, Perry charged me ONLY for labor, which amounted to $60. A wonderful experience with extraordinary value and friendly service for a jarringly low price.

  They called me back and went over the details and when they came out they were prompt and showed us possible models to use and let us see them in the bathroom. When they installed the product they cleaned up after themselves and the bars work great.

  Paul and Barb were very professional. They have an excellent selection of styles and helped me not only with initial needs but plan for the future. I love that they helped me select a grab bar/towel bar for the wall next to walk-in shower. Absolute professionals.

  Paul's Grab Bars

  Paul and his wife Barb worked together as a team. They came on Saturday since they had difficulty fitting us in on a week day. They arrived as scheduled and greeted my wife and me in a friendly manner. Barb is the safety guru of the team and worked with my wife to be sure that the bars were located to maximize her safety. After consultation, Paul installed six grab bars on the walls of our two bathrooms, one grab bar in a fiberglass tub/shower, and four almond colored grab bars (for railings) in our hallway. To install the grab bar in the fiberglass, they had to cut some holes in the sheetrock on the other side of the wall and insert wood to reinforce behind the fiberglass. We will have to repair and repaint the sheetrock, but Paul replaced the pieces and secured them to additional wood that he inserted into the openings. Although Paul's services are not inexpensive, I am very happy that we asked him to do this work because he is experienced, thorough, and from my perspective, very skilled at this type of work. My wife is blind and facing some physical limitations, which will probably worsen over the next few years. Both Paul and Barb seemed genuinely concerned about her safety and installing the bars in the best possible locations and securely so that we do not need to worry at all that they will come off when someone is depending on them. On Saturday, they could not quite finish the bars in the hallway, but they said they would be back on Thursday to complete the work. On Wednesday, they were in the area and called to see if they could complete the work that afternoon, which they did. Like I mentioned, Paul gets a good price for his time, but the bars are excellent quality, and his work appears to be first-class. I am including some photos so you can see for yourself the quality of his work.

  Paul and Barb are meticulous in locating and installing the grab bars. They arrive promptly or call you if running late. They are organized, neat and clean up after themselves. We have used Paul in both of our homes over the years. He delivers a much needed service with with a smile.

  I can't say enough about Visiting Angels. They were fantastic to work with and Debbie that was on site. She made my mom feel comfortable, taking her outside in her wheelchair for walks and sitting in the gardens, going for coffee the with her friends. She was angel sent to help my mom.

  Great - they are a bit light on staff, but we did ask for nearly the impossible: 24x7 awake care during a few weeks of crisis management. They stepped up the best they could and family filled in the rest. Now they are 24x7 live in and doing a marvelous job. Very professional field, office and nursing staff.

  The nurse and manager came to make introductions arrived on time. I reviewed procedures and noted where supplies were in our home. The nurse assured me that she know how to do cares needed. when returning home I found my husband to be happy, clean, and said, "I walked the halls 4X today."
