Door Installation reviews in Forest Lake

Excellent workman-ship. Unable to tell wall was extended with closet installed. Crown molding is perfect. Working For You (ROB) will always be my choice for work including stairs to decking to be done late May 2018, and refinishing of deck in June 2018. Rob is very dependable and outstanding communications, along with being very honest. You can always depend on him to answer all your questions and cleaning up prior to leaving. Due to his outstanding work and honesty, along with great communications, you need to plan ahead as he is very busy, but worth waiting for.

A Pane in the Glass Construction LLC
I was above pleased with the products and the service that i received from A Pane in the Glass Construction. My windows and patio doors look fantastic, the price was very reasonable and the installation was done in a timely manner. They even managed to do the install on the coldest days of the season so far, and everything was completed on time. A very friendly, professional group to work with, I would highly recommend them.

    Patrick Miller Construction Inc
This is the second major project which Patrick Miller Construction has completed for us. We continue to be impressed with the quality of their work, attention to detail, and the dedication and skill of their contractors.  Phil is the ?Tom Silva? of the company; this man can do anything, and it is always done well.  Tom is an excellent worker and a nice guy to boot, and Yuri, who did the siding, is a real craftsman.  Douglas deserves special mention; he consistently went the extra mile (or many miles, in some cases) to get us rain gutters and roof material in discontinued or difficult-to-obtain colors, dealt with other issues which arose, and never lost his cool in the process. Patrick came in with an excellent bid for us, and gave us items such as rain gutters (which we had not anticipated having to replace), and an additional window, at cost or very low cost to us; in addition the crew replaced small items along the way that they noticed were in bad shape, such as a hose spigot and water-damaged plywood on the house. The working conditions were not ideal, especially for Yuri, Nick, and Tony doing the tear-off and replacement of the siding. There were challenges in dealing with wasps? nests, bat guano in the soffits, and flower gardens, trees, and the deck pergola which had to be avoided. They were careful to minimize damage to the trees and the gardens, and cleaned up behind themselves. The entire project took quite a bit longer than we hoped it would, due to rain delays, some materials  (windows, battens) having to be reordered, and workers being pulled off for other projects. The contract was signed on April 18th; for all intents and purposes the project was finished in early July, and the last item (a small modification to the new metal roof to prevent water from rotting the plywood underneath) was completed today, August 18th. That being said, we will definitely hire this company again and already have a couple of projects in mind. They do a quality job, and give the homeowners what they want, even when it means extra effort and cost for them. We highly recommend Patrick Miller Construction.

    Nik Hudella Construction LLC
Nik, the owner came out and measured the building and asked specific questions, which helped me make decisions.  He went back and within 2 hours emailed me a quote detailing all that we discussed.  I accepted and he said he could start on it the following Wednesday.  He came Wednesday at 7:00 AM and in less than two days completed the project.  I came home from a trip and there it was. Everything was cleaned up and the shed was sided and the door was new.  Great experience.

    Handy Rite
Ben is a great worker and is very knowledgeable with general handyman services. Ben was at our house for two days doing work in our kitchen and downstairs living room. We had him replace a cracked tile in the kitchen and repair some bad grout areas as well. The drawer slides we had him replace are great and was very needed. I had some random cable lines and phone lines that were a mess from the shoddy cable installer. Ben cleaned up the lines and installed an outlet for them. We had two minor drywall holes that were patched. Also, we had an interior door for our bedroom that needed to be replaced. Overall good job. We plan to use Handy Rite services again in the future.

    Patrick Miller Construction Inc
Pat and his company (Patrick Miller Construction) built us a fantastic garage over a period of about a month (we were gone for 12 days during that period and they were rained out a couple of days), but they worked very hard to get it built in a timely manner. Randy, the cement guy and his crew were very good. I especially want to mention Phil and Tom, the carpenters, who were very hard-working and built us an absolutely beautiful (yes, it really is beautiful!), sturdy garage.  The electricians were excellent, as were the roofers. We had a few problems with the rain gutters, which Pat dealt with and had fixed. Patrick really went the extra mile for us, bending over backwards to make sure we got what we wanted, that we were kept in the loop, and he did several "extras" for us which were not in the contract: swapping out our light fixture on our house for a new one, painting the side door jamb, swapping out one of our light fixtures which was defective, etc. We had very few unexpected situations, and what we did have Pat dealt with quickly and efficiently. The building inspector had a few minor things he wanted taken care of, and Pat, Tom, and Phil took care of them that very day. I really cannot say enough good things about Pat and his company. From the first time we met him, to researching various options for us, to tweaking the plan and working with the city building inspector, to the final product, this was a very positive experience. I only wish they had been around when we built our house twenty years ago. The garage experience was totally different than the house experience. Thank you Patrick, and all your good workers!!

    New Windows For America
I had an initial discrepancy with some of the pricing of products for a return customer, and felt as though I was being "put through the ringer" so to speak.  Well I recently received a call from Jim the owner who explained the pricing in great detail and the reasoning behind the pricing and what I was quoted.   This was far beyond any good customer service I have received in the past and I am very pleased with the level of care NWFA takes of their returning customers.  Not to mention the initial service with them was very good.  Installation team was very friendly and considerate.  Overall my issue has been resolved and I am happy to move forward with buying my next set of windows with them.   I hope this helps make a decision in buying new windows.

    Harmony Homes Inc
Harmony Homes representatives and employees were without exception courteous, punctual, considerate of our property, and conscientious in making sure they completed the job properly and to our satisfaction. I gave them a B for Price since the patio door was a little bit expensive ($2905), but it is a high quality door. We would definitely use them again.

    Giertsen Company
Beginning started great. They showed up immediately and secured the house. The next day the cleaners showed up to pack everything up. They didn't help me retrieve any tools or set them aside so I could retrieve them. I saw them pocket several tools from the ashes. Our 9 mm smith and wesson went missing, the cleaner they used on my leather furniture and ends tables stripped the finish. The framers didn't know how to frame. They mis-matched the crowns and I now have wavey walls. They used a high gage sand paper on mudding instead of a mesh sheet. I have scratches in my walls from sandpaper. The tiling guy didn't take up the trim or put sealant on the grout. My grout is now coming out and cracking. They left a very noticeable seem in my bathroom where the door was extended. They took out the damaged concrete from the garage but left the footings which damaged the footings and the support of the garage. They broke a glass shade for a light fixture then replaced it with one that didn't fix. One of the gutters wasn't attached to the underground spout and ran along my garage instead of under the sidewalk like it was designed. They left a 3 inch gap from the brick masonry to the front of the garage leaving a perfect breeding habitant for bats. Some of the siding wasn't locked in place and a corner was torn. They used cheaper materials then the house originally had and put in cheap brass door knobs that didn't match anything else in the house. There were nail holes in the trim. It wasn't filled or stained after the cleaner stripped the finish. All the wood finish in the house was stripped and never re-stained. The fire door was never painted and the door knob was missing a piece inside the dead bolt cut out to make the deadbolt correct. The fire door wasn't installed correctly and detaching from the frame. They couldn't match the paint exactly so instead of repainting the walls, they tried to touch them up. This left a horrible look with unmatched brush strokes. They never sealed the concrete. When I meet with KC and pointed out the problems on April 21. He never fixed the problems or contacted me about them. Then I requested Kevin and Dan on May 17, I requested an outline for the repairs to be done. This was never provided. June 28, I met with KC again to discuss the progress of the work and repairs. This went on and on until January, 3, 2005 I received a notice demanding payment. I gathered other bids from contractors to repair the work they did. It was over $14K to repair what they didn't do correctly.

They did an excellent job. A couple of items weren't right with the doors. We gave him our credit account at the store where we purchased the doors. He purchased the things that he needed and came back the next day. He finished the job. We thought that he was extremely trustworthy. We have some windows to replace in the near future and we would definitely use him again.
