They never pressured me, and explained every option available so i could take care of these items when my budget would allow me.   • Went great. The back brakes were bad and one of the front calipers was frozen up. They called me a gave me a quote and I had the work done. The heat should could just be removed so I had them take it off. I cant say how much I trust Nick and Dean. I always have them look my vehicle over and I dont ever feel they are trying to take advantage of me. I have a old car and want it safe but I dont want to put a lot of money in to it. They tell me what needs to be done and they dont try to sell me to do things that are not necessary.

  • We dropped keys off the night before the service was to be done. It was done by the following evening, on time as usual, with a good explanation of the work that was done and why. The price was very reasonable, about half that of a a dealer.

  • The alignment was never done on the initial visit despite my being charged for it. When I called to book another appointment they were not too enthusiastic about my bringing it back and offered an appointment the following week. When I insisted it be fixed sooner they were able to work me in.

    The girl at the counter couldn't produce the before and after specs for the alignment when I asked. So we brought it back for a second visit and it was realigned. This time she could produce the specs. When the vehicle was ready for pickup the second time, the man on the phone told my husband that there machine was out of alignment. But since it was exactly the same before and after the initial visit I suspect that it was never completed. Also, no apologies.

    When I picked it up the second time they kept me waiting for someone to pull my vehicle up front. After waiting 15 minutes I finally asked for my keys and walked through the lot to find it. Good thing I have an antenna ball or I might still be there.

  • Cha, Bobby, and company all do a great job. Really hard to find a good/honest mechanic and when you do, it is a huge relief. I bring in all of my vehicles and they do great work, communicate well with what is going on, even willing to work on prices. If you're in the south metro, for sure give theses guys a call.

  • This was an unfortunate experience where the transmission on my vehicle locked up unexpectedly and I needed a tow. I called AAA and they dispatched Dick's Valley Service to my location. The tow truck (a flatbed vehicle) arrived promptly within the quoted time and was able to find me without any problem.
    My vehicle was carefully loaded on the flatbed and the driver made the necessary calls to ascertain my AAA membership would cover the cost of the long distance tow I was requesting so as to avoid any unexpected charges. I wanted my vehicle taken to a Lexus dealership in Maplewood which was about 25 miles away. I was covered in full by AAA.
    The driver worked out the best route to use (trucks are prohibited on some of the roads I typically use) and the transit went without incident. When we arrived at the dealership, however, my vehicle's transmission would not come unlocked and therefore it would not roll backward so as to unload it from the flatbed trailer. The driver worked tirelessly trying to figure a way to get my vehicle offloaded; a herculean task given the 90 degree temperature and the tight quarters. Throughout the hour or so it took to finally offload my vehicle, the driver remained upbeat and professional and at all times focused on ensuring my vehicle was not in any way damaged.
    The offload would not have been possible had the tow vehicle not been equipped with all the necessary implements for the situation. Dick's apparantly has a fleet of fully equipped up-to-date trucks and if this driver is typical of their staff, they are well matched to any task or situation.

  • Excellent repair experience. This is a 2001 Lexus RX300 with 230 thousand miles. Unfortunately the transmission locked up due to a failed pump. This happened late in the afternoon. I called Lexus of Maplewood and they offered to stay and wait for me no matter how late the hour until my vehicle arrived. AAA got me there on a flatbed well after normal service hours, and true to their word the staff was waiting for me and had a loaner all set up and ready to go.
    The service reps kept me informed and up to the minute on the diagnosis and estimate of necessary repairs as well as the full range of options available. They made every effort to keep the cost down and even suggested I call Lexus USA to enquire about assistance with the cost of replacing the transmission. The call was very helpful although Lexus USA could not go beyond the discounts the dealership had already offered. Lexus of Maplewood reduced the bill by approximately fifteen percent and also applied a discount to the repair parts, up front and without any of the typical and quot;tell you what I'm going to do for youand quot; attitude. The cost of the repairs was, in fact, less than that quoted by other franchises for the same service... and without the amenities!
    Lexus provided a brand new loaner vehicle for me to use. Due to a schedule conflict I was not able to pick up my vehicle the day the repairs were done and I was able to keep the loaner for as long as necessary, which was quite helpful. When I did pick up my vehicle, the final bill was slightly less than I had expected which was another pleasant surprise. The service rep went over the repairs that were done item by item and answered all of my questions clearly and knowledgeably. My RX300 was washed and ready and runs like new.
    I could not be happier with the service and will definitely have future service performed by this dealership.
