  • This company is TERRIBLE at returning phone calls for making and keeping appointments. I give up! I have a yearly maintenance contract with them, however, they do not return phone calls when I need to schedule them for maintenance or any problem that needs repair. I will not use them again after several times being so frustrated by their complete lack of response. Fed up!

    They might not be the most communicative company, as their day and time of arrival was not really nailed down precisely, but they got here and did what they said they would.

  • I described my window box — long and in the shade. And I didn't want the usual impatiens — that's nice but I'm tired of it. This man brought plants over, set them in place, asking how I liked what he was doing. I made some suggestions. I took a photo with my iPhone so I could replicate the arrangement.

  • Both deliveries were prompt and timely, as requested.  The mulch was deposited on the boulevard in front of my yard. The 19 plants were placed in my yard where the design specified they be planted.  The quoted cost includes $169 for 2 deliveries; the rest for materials and plants.  I rated these services overall A. 
    However, subsequently I visited Bachman's and asked Customer Service for information about patching sod on some bare spots left after concrete work.  I was directed to walk through their yard to another building which housed the Landscape Dept.  Once there, I was told that Bachman's does not do patch work.  This was on one of the hottest days of the summer.  For this fruitless trip, I rate their overall service rating to C for an average of B.
    I don't know whether I will use Bachman's again, but I was required to answer that question in order to submit this report.

  • We have used them in the past and we are very happy with the services we received. It's been a while since we used him, but we still contact him for any other needs that we have. Steve Wilde is the landscape designer and we rate him very highly as well. He planned our yard and it was based on what we preferred as far as landscaping goes. He is excellent all around. It's been a couple of years since we used him. We will be contacting him in the spring because we want some new plantings and we are having trouble with an old one. We expect continued excellent service from him. We recommend him to anybody who is looking for lawn care services. They are a little bit higher priced, but you get quality products. They guarantee them. We actually had a failure due to rabbits and Steve Wilde replaced them at no charge. We will absolutely use them in the future. I would highly recommend Steve and Bachman's in general.

  • We went in the fall to purchase a maple tree. The first red maple did not have helicopter leaves. We then decided to get two more red maples within a few years. These maples did have helicopter leaves and were not red as what I had thought when I first bought them. Helicopter leaves are incredibly messy and need to be raked, which is a pain. I contacted this nursery and they would not do anything about this problem. This nursery provides no service or responsibility whatsoever and they won't help you at all if an issue rises. We trusted the sales person when we purchased these trees; we had no idea what we were purchasing. Now, I'd like to cut these trees down.

  • We enjoyed the variety and choices of perennials to chose from. The owners are very knowledgable about all their plants. They are all grown locally, and well suited to the Minnesota climate. They provide more than the standard daylily, coneflower; they provide varieties rarely found in the Mpls/St. Paul corporate nurseries and big box stores. Their pricing is very reasonable; a large Monarda (bee balm) was $8.00; I was able to divide it into 3 separate plantings.

  • They have been around for as long as I can remember; they are an excellent company, they are a very good company and I am willing to pay the price for their product. They make it feel like a very small family company even though they are a very large company. They treat all of their customers and employee's with respect. They also have a one year guarantee for any of their products.

  • They are very reasonable for pricing of delivery. They are delightful to work with and have a great selection to choose from, expert quality of plants. They primarily carried perennials and annuals but have added trees and shrubs.
