Everything went exactly as planned from the cost estimate, the scheduling, the contractors appearing on time, the overall schedule and the communication between Kurt and Carole and ourselves. We were always in the loop and each step was planned according to our convenience and thoroughly explained along the way. We were never surprised and always informed of changes and cost modifications. The workmanship of their subcontractors was excellent and we have hired them back separately for other minor household updates. I would strongly recommend this entire team!

    K2 Bath Deck & Kitchen
The end result looks very nice, but the process for getting there was painful. Three points: 1. Project design: K2 did not verify that the toilet could be moved and still use the existing stack (which was visible). The design plan violated a simple plumbing rule and could easily have been discovered pre-project. Instead, K2 did not learn this until after the bathroom was gutted, the wall was moved and reframed. And, the custom cabinets were already onsite. This resulted in a major redesign, extending the project time by three weeks. 2. Project Timing: At contract signing (mid-Feb), the estimated project start date was mid-April with an estimated duration of 6 weeks. The project actually started in mid-June, and took 4 months. Three weeks are attributable to the redesign. Repeatedly, projected start dates were missed without any notification from K2. 3. Uneven quality of work: The finishing work, including the tiling and plumbing, was excellent; these K2 employees were very skilled and great to work with. However, some of the framing carpentry was terrible and needed to be redone multiple times. Some electrical fixtures were installed poorly and two were not connected properly in the attic. The subcontractor's installation of the quartz countertop took three trips, and the installation of the below-counter sinks needed to be corrected by K2.

Overall, Val and his team did a great job and I would hire them again. Val was prompt at communicating over email, and was able to answer all my questions. His team was consistently on time arriving at my home to work, and completed the job very quickly and with good quality. They retiled a shower completely, added a shelf with glass tile, and patched and painted some drywall that had been damaged.

I gave an over all C rating...Proceed With Caution We built a new home and wanted our grout/doors treated to avoid hard water stains. I received a quote over the phone. Dave explained to me they charge per square foot. It sounded like a lot to me, so I mentioned that to him and he indicated it would take 4-4.5 hours, which seemed to me, a justification for the service rate. I scheduled a service call. When Dave arrived we spoke and he measured our showers. His new estimate was several hundred dollars more than the phone estimate. Again, he told me it would take 4 hours. Since I had a meeting late in the day I told him to skip one of the showers because it wouldnt be used much, and he wouldnt have the time. Then he said but if I can get it all done before you have your meeting should I do it? I told him I wasnt sure, and he should text me. But he pushed me for an answer in the moment (red flag) so I said fine, but only if he could fit it in without rushing. Then on my way out he said, Do you want me to do the granite also? Red flag. If the showers and doors were going to take 4 hours, how could he fit in the granite also in that time frame? I said no. I left, and he told me to come back at a certain time. I called my husband to discuss my concerns, and he reminded me that all of our showers have large tile which reduces the amount of grout work significantly. I texted Dave and told him what our concerns were about the pricing. He asked what I wanted to do and I said go ahead. My instincts told me something was off so I went back 2.5 hours after I left. He was all done. His equipment was at our door and he was on a business call. I told him I was surprised that he was done, and I asked if he was comfortable charging me $980 for no more than 2.5 hours (could have been less because I wasnt there). He said yes. I said, how can you do that and sleep at night. He said, I sleep fine. Then he asked me how much do you and your husband make per hour? Red flag. I told him I didnt see how that was relevant. (However, I have two graduate degrees, a MA and a license in the health and wellness field, and I volunteer ($0 per hour) my work time assisting youth with physical and emotional health needs.) When I refused to answer his question, he then told me that $500 dollars of the fees were for the chemicals he used. In my opinion....unlikely. I take full responsibility for hiring him, and saying yes to the work, and his pricing, while ignoring all the red flags, so I paid him. But I can assure you, if he would have told me he was going to do the work in 2.5 hours (or most possibly less-I wasnt there) and charge me $980, I most defiantly would have said, no. A few hard water stains never hurt anyone/anything. My lesson learned-listen to all red flags!

Couldn't be happier--I worked with Ray, a self-described perfectionist, who was just that! A great job on everything--my 25 year old marble tile looks almost new! Further--my contact person at the Company was David Meyers who was promptly responsive by phone and email. Everything done right on schedule. I will be contacting them again to reseal my shower.

We could not have been happier with the work they have done. Mark is very thorough and pay great attention to details. When they encounter problems, which always happen with an older house, they come up with creative solutions. We definitely recommend them.

Andrew is excellent to work with. He prides himself on his craftsmanship and his communication. I also appreciated that he was up-front, honest, and was able to provide me quality advice in regards to my shower which included a person to provide stone for the shower bench, curb, and vanity top. He also directed me to a great place for custom shower doors. I would absolutely work with Andrew again and do not hesitate to refer him to others. Excellent work by a great guy!

    Ohana Home & Design
We hired Ohana Home and Design to do a total bathroom remodel for us. We wanted something that would be more functional as we age, and yet be stylish. Ryan and Maggie were amazing to work with! They removed the bathtub and made a walk in shower that is completely handicapped accessible. The shower has a gorgeous feature wall made of pebbles that gives that "spa" feeling, and added details, like a towel warmer, that really makes us feel pampered. We were out of town during the entire remodel as we only have one bathroom. I was concerned about returning to a mess to clean up, but I was very pleasantly surprised! The apartment was immaculate and I didn't even have to dust! I was absolutely blown away with the final results! Plus Maggie even added personal touches, like fresh orchids in our Asian inspired spa bathroom! I can't recommend them highly enough! In fact, the bathroom was so amazing, that we've decided to remodel our kitchen, and of course, we wouldn't consider hiring anyone else but Ohana! Thank you, Ryan and Maggie for giving us the bathroom of our dreams!

    Tile Unlimited
We recently did a bathroom remodel and Matt was the tiler who did the work. He did the tile for the floor, the shower walls, shower pan and a "pebble" feature wall. His workmanship was absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend him! In fact, we are planning a kitchen remodel next and I have requested that he be the one who does our kitchen as well!
