    Home Transformations Inc
Kurt was very professional, attentive, thorough, paid attention to my requests, helped me make the best decisions and guided me away from repairs that were unnecessary. His workers were also very thorough and professional. I am extremely happy with the results and plan on hiring him again for future projects.

    Bell Professional Painting Inc
We were thoroughly satisfied with the job Bell Painting did for us. From the prompt estimate to the final cleanup Mark and his crew were great. Compared to 2 other painters from Angies List, Bells estimate was no-hassle. The paint he proposed was higher quality than other estimates and was a quick drying variety. That was beneficial, since we got rain the night they painted. Mark got us a nicer color than the original, matching the front to the rest of the house and the trim. Speaking of trim, they also did more than what was proposed, painting much of the trim. The crew was fabulous: did a quality job of prepping the house and cleaning up afterwards. (Even our deck was cleaner than before.) I highly recommend Bell Painting!

    Jamie Dorsey Painting LLC
Jamie did a great job! I had a large deck and porch that is due for staining. Jamie responded very quickly after I quoted the job through Angieslist and came for a bid in a week. He answered my questions politely and professionally. His bid price was also very reasonable. I wanted it done as soon as possible but he explained to me that it's better to wait till weather's warm enough. And he'd already got plenty other jobs. So we scheduled for July. Then one month ahead of the schedule, he contact me if I wanted it done earlier. Of course I did. So he came and did a great job. He power-washed carefully and thoroughly. He even sanded quite some places though it was not included in the contract. For the staining, he carefully covered all underneath area and stayed away from the siding. He stained all railing and spindles very carefully and then the floor. I really appreciate his dedicated work and would definitely recommend him to my friends and hire him again for any other painting job.

    CertaPro Painters - SW Metro
Work was done timely and neatly. They had to scrape the upper story more than planned as the previous painters had not done much, if any, scraping. When nearing completion of the project, I realized the garage doors were the wrong color. One of the workers got in the vehicle and went to the store to buy the additional paint needed and they stayed late to finish the job correctly.

    Paris Painting
This is a long one: On June 10, 2018, I paid a 20% down payment to Paris Painting to get the deck re-painted and the floor stained. There were some boards that needed to be replaced and I asked if we needed to replace them or if they would do that. Haakon (the person who wrote up the estimate) said theyd do it because that would make it more worthwhile for them. Since my husband was traveling a lot for work, I was totally agreeable to this. Another estimate was just a bit lower and I asked if Paris Painting would match it. They said no but said theyd take $100 off if I put their sign in my yard which I agreed to do. Summer started rolling by and after about 6 weeks or so I inquired about when they would be getting to our deck. I didnt hear back for days. I noticed a new neighbor had someone out to stain their deck and they hadnt moved in until July. I decided to go ask them about who they hired and cancel with Paris Painting but got a call that day that the deck would be power washed in the next couple of days. Power washing was done on August 1st. I also left a message for Jason (the owner) to find out when the carpentry and painting etc would start. Jason did not communicate with me and I told one of the workers that Jason did not communicate with me and we have been waiting quite a long time. Its been a rainy summer and I have been quite patient because this is something that cannot be controlled. However, they have had my down payment since June 10th and could have communicated the number of projects and expected start date barring weather issues. Once I mentioned that, I did hear from Jason so I thought things were on track. Early the following week (I believe it was Mon Aug 6th) the carpenters showed up. I thought about a dozen boards would be replaced but instead they did 8 or 9. Some areas were spackled. Haakan had mentioned cedar wood but it didnt look like cedar and I asked the worker (Teo) if they were cedar. He said: No, Too expensive. I asked if this wood could be painted right away and the woman shook her head yes. So that was fine by me. But I noticed that the new boards were higher than the other boards. I pointed this out to both people working. The man was not very proficient in English and the woman seemed to explain things to him. They said the boards werent nailed down yet. In fact, they got the wrong thickness and this should have been obvious to anyone who knew anything about carpentry. My husband had replaced other boards over the years and we never had that issue. A while later I looked out and they had started painting the rails. I was totally surprised at this because I thought a separate crew did the painting but they started working away. This was good news to me since the deck would finally be done. The deck floor was stained last and by the time they were finishing it was almost 7pm. It was horribly humid and hot and as they got started on the floor, I told them they just announced on the news that it would rain. The woman shrugged her shoulders and they completed the staining. The new boards were still obviously about half an inch higher than the other floor boards. Worse yet it rained and completely ruined the stain finish. I contacted Paris Painting and the next day, Jake came out to photo the deck. I was not told anyone would be coming out and asked that they notify me when they are coming and ring the doorbell when they arrive. I asked Jake to come inside to look at the deck from the sliding glass doors to get a better view. He said the deck floor would be re-done and first someone would power wash it. The next morning there was a very heavy dew and the deck was wet. I was heading upstairs to shower when I noticed that the painters were walking across the driveway with a paint bucket and painting gear. I ran out and asked what they were doing and they pointed toward the deck. I said No, Jake said someone had to power wash the deck first and secondly the deck was wet. This really upset me because I had been told one thing by Jake and these people didnt even ring the doorbell. So, if I had gone upstairs a couple of minutes earlier, I wouldnt have caught them. (Were they going to put stain on a wet deck???) I said I had to call Jason and didnt want them going to the deck. I was quite upset when I spoke to Jason. Once again, there is just a big lack of communication. He said hed tell them to leave. On Monday, Aug 13th yet another worker came out to power wash. In addition, the old boards that were removed from the deck were left next to the deck on the side yard. I sent an email on Aug 7th about their removal and was told it was on their docket to grab the debris. We have in-ground sprinkler heads and the boards were covering a couple of them. On Aug 1,th I sent some photos to Jason showing the new board height and a couple of issues and he acknowledged receiving them. I wanted Jason to come out to I could go over specifics but every worker that was out just said theyd pass along the info to Jason. So no one has thoroughly physically examined the deck and it is now Aug 24th. Jake was not able to walk on the deck when he came out because it was an oozing mess. On Monday, Aug 20th, I sent an email to remind Jason that the old boards (with long nails in them) were still covering the sprinkler heads. On Aug 22nd, I called Paris Painting office and spoke to Laura I told her I wanted a call from Jason that day. Later, Jake came to pick up the boards. Againunannounced. I happened to be home and heard some noise. I went out and I asked if I could go over the deck issues with him and he said he couldnt but hed tell Jason to contact me. I also stressed the urgency of getting this job done because our neighbors Ash tree hangs over our deck and starting in September, it drops leaves and other things that stain the deck. I have also been keeping my schedule open, thinking theyll be out anytime. This is inconveniencing me as well. The workers for Paris Painting made a mistake with the board replacement and I am being punished for it. There have been a variety of people out but no one who can go over the details. How would you feel if you had a half-completed project, had to email numerous times, and didnt get a call back for 5 days.so far? This is urgent. I planned to have guests over for the Labor Day weekend. I thought the deck would have been long finished by that time. I have surgery scheduled in September and frankly, I do not need the extra stress this has put on me. I do not trust Paris Painting and dont know if I care to have them finish. If they do this, it must be completed by end of Aug or if weather does not allow that, the first week of Sept. I will need to see receipts for boards purchased, I do not want anyone on my property unless my husband or I will be home. If I hire someone else to finish this, the cost of everything I incur will be deducted from Paris Painting. I am out of options. Not returning calls and not ever coming to see this face to face has really exacerbated this bad experience. Honestly, they really do not seem to care.

    CEDAR SHAKE RESTORATION
We hired Andy and company to clean and seal our cedar shake roof. While cleaning the roof, they said there were a few soft spots over one section of roof. The leaks were apparently located around two skylights in the roof. They said they could fix the roof and repair the leaks by the skylights at a cost of over $7,000. They did the repair less than two years ago. This spring the roof again leaked around the skylines, which they said they repaired. Again, that was only 1 1/2 years ago. The leaks caused a lot damage and cost over $10,000 to repair their mistakes. Obviously, the Cedar Shake Restoration company had no idea what they were doing, as the job was done wrong and caused a great deal of additional damage. I would not use this company again, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

Mark and his crew did a great job. Mark responded very quickly to our inquiry and gave us a time line that was followed. Polite, professional and was really impressed that they cleaned up after the painting was completed. I would hire Bell Painting again!

    Bell Professional Painting Inc
Mark and his team of people did a super job painting the outside of our whole house. Mark is highly professional and always followed through with what he said that he would do. The crew showed up always on time, were very courteous, and did a great job with the painting. They worked hard, were meticulous with their work, and always cleaned up before they left for the day. They put two coats of paint on our house in two days (after power washing two days before) and we could not be happier with the result. I would highly recommend Bell Professional Painting.

    CEDAR SHAKE RESTORATION
The crew did an excellent job. They worked very hard to do a thorough job and made sure the job was done right. The roof repair went very well and they showed me how the roof had rotted before proceeding. The repair was done right and I am confident it will last the life of the roof. They also repaired the cause of the leaks that allowed the water to get under the shakes to rot the roof. Throughout the job they maintained good contact with me to let me know what was going on. They were very professional in their work and did a terrific job. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a highly qualified company to clean and repair their cedar shake roof. Our cedar shake roof now looks new again.
