  • I was a little nervous because after I called a week before the appointment I hadn't heard anything from them the day of, but I needn't have worried. I called them just to make sure, and they assured me the ride was on the way and just as I hung up, they arrived, right on time. I rode along and was impressed at how skilled and polite the driver was.  Dad really loved the feeling of security, as he did not have to transfer, his wheelchair was strapped down, and he also had a safety belt. Driver got a little lost following Siri on the way back, but we enjoyed taking the scenic route and there's no "meter" so they stuck to the quote they had given us. I used them again to transport Dad back to assisted living after he was discharged from the hospital at the end of March. Drivers are friendly, respectful, and careful. I would recommend these guys.  Some of the other residents of Dad's assisted living used their services too. Their rates were competitive, lower than several others I looked at on the internet.

  • It was wonderful.  Dr. Michael, as well as both of his nurse assistants, were professional, courteous and concerned.  I was comfortable with them immediately.  They took time to talk with me and didn't rush.  They were reassuring and made me feel as if I was their only patient.  They asked all the necessary questions and asked permission to examine me.  They answered every one of my questions in a way that was easy for me to understand.  They went over my treatment plan in detail and left written instructions for me to follow.  They called in my prescriptions, which were ready the next day.  They set up a follow up appointment for the following week.  This showed me they were my team and I could count on them.

    When you go to a regular doctor's appointment, you usually spend a fair amount of time in the waiting room, then get a 15 or 20 minute visit with the doctor.  In and out!  Dr. Michael and his staff spent an hour with rushing.  They took their time and I knew I was being well cared for.  By the time they left, I felt as if they had been my medical team for years.  

    My abscess healed.  My infection is gone.  During my exam, we discovered several other medical issues that need attention.  SMR continues to treat my diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.  I continue to be impressed with their expert medical treatment and just as important, their genuine caring.  It is such a blessing that they come to me.  This makes my life so much easier. This is a service that considers those of us who can't get around easily.  They get an A+ rating from me.

  • Barb was very good at determining the placement of the grab bars and constantly consulted with us every step of the way.
    .Two grab bars were installed in the shower and one outside the shower door by Paul.
    They worked as a team on the installation. They cleaned up as they went along. All was done very professionally and the parts were all in their van. No waiting for a consultation and coming back later..

  • They are as good and better than they say they are. We've had 24 hour care from CareMinders for the last 4 months and we are so happy with them. I sleep better because my mom has excellent care in her Assisted Living Apartment. If not for them - mom would have to be in a skilled nursing facility. Her 2 bedroom Assisted Living apartment plus the additional cost for 24 hour care is a far better value than Skilled Nursing. She has a constant companion, she doesn't have to wait for an aid to assist her with anything and most of all I know she is SAFE and happy to be in hr own home. It makes it a much happier existence and CareMinders made that possible.

  • They were there at any time.  They were available for advice and care.  They were very informative.  They kept family members aware of what was happening and what could happen at all times.  They were very sympathetic and kind.  They were willing to assist in any unusual problems.  They were willing to solve any unusual problems.  I will use them again in the future.

  • We interviewed a bunch of people that provide this service and they were the most professional and caring and they had good prices. It has turned out to be the best thing we have invested in. They are very responsive. They are there when they are suppose to be there and they get along very well with my mother in law.

  • When she first arrived home my wife was alert, talking, and the nurses made sure she was comfortable and had everything she needed. Dr. Houle from Park Nicollet even made a house call, something almost unheard of these days. As time passed my wifes health became worse and again the nurses made sure she was comfortable. She had the medication needed to make her death painless and peaceful and they gave me the knowledge to help her as needed. I can't began to "sing the praises" of the people that came to our house, answered the phone, and all those that worked in the background that I never met or delt with.

  • I just had to write and complain about this company. I am a daughter trying to help my dad who has Parkinsons. He just moved into an assisted living facility. Because he has trouble walking, we thought he should get a mobile chair to help him out so he would not feel so stranded in his apartment. With that in mind, my dad and I went to his doctor and got the thumbs up that he would write a prescription and do any paperwork that would be needed to get one. When I first called Anodyne, I talked to the nicest person. She talked to me about my dad's insurance. I told her that I got their name from the Medica web site. She said that the person I would need to talk to was the owner, Bill, and he was out of the office at the time, so I said that I would call the next day and ask for him. That was the end of the pleasant experience with Anodyne. I called back the next day and left Bill a message, letting him know why I was calling. That was a Tuesday, 7/14. I wanted to be polite and not call him back the next day thinking he got the message and would wait for his call. I was out doing errands and missed his call back (the only one I would get) on Friday, 7/17. I had just missed his call from 20 min prior so called back and the person answering the phone put me through to his voice mail. I stayed home the rest of the afternoon so I would make sure that I would not miss his call. No call. The next week came and I figured that I would hear from him on Monday. Nope. So Tuesday, 1 week after my initial call, I called him again. He was not in the office but they put me through to his voicemail to leave a message. No call. Called again on Thursday. The person answering the phone said that he left and would not be back until Monday. I probably should have moved on to a different company then, but the initial person I talked to was so nice and called my dad's insurance company to find out what kind of insurance he had and had talked to me about the whole process. I felt she went out of her way and was so nice. I needed to stick with it. Plus they knew all the insurance information and the whole story. Okay, now we are going on the third week with no call. When he didn't call me back on Monday, I tried him on Tuesday. Of course he was not in the office. He was out for about an hour. So I left him a message. I told him I had been trying to reach him. and that I would like to talk to him before I go on vacation at the end of the week. I also mentioned that when we returned from vacation in about 10 days, my dad would be moving into his new place and I was worried about him because he would not be able to get around. Finally, I asked if I could please hear back from him to see what was going on and hopefully get something worked out before I left. No call. Thursday, I was upset... how could someone that worked in this type of business... stay in business. I had been nothing but polite waiting for a call back. If he did not want the business, he could've just called and told me. Meanwhile, time is clicking by. I just can't figure this guy out. I feel ok... I am leaving for vacation tomorrow and I call the first girl back. I tell her I'm sorry to bother her. That I did not want to get her in trouble but I needed some advice on what to do at this point because her boss won't call me. She said, hold on, and the next thing I know Bill is on the phone. He says to me "Oh, I was just looking at your dad's file... let me call you right back..... Guess what? No call... I waited around all day for that call. I know this story is getting long but we leave on vacation. When we return, there are about 30 messages ... I'm thinking that one of those would be the owner of Anodyne, Bill.... but, No. The next day we moved my dad into his new apartment. We moved him in on Aug. 10th. Almost 1 month from the first phone call that I had made to Anodyne. My family ended up having to pay for escort services for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are now in the process of finding a new company. I have gone to meet with a sales person there and they are just wonderful. I just can't believe that someone in this business stays in business.. He didn't have the time of day to call me and I was just out there trying to do the best I could for my dad. If I were a new customer I would steer completely away from this place. So find another place to work with because this man is the owner and he didn't seem to care what was going on. I plan on writing Medica a letter about this. I may be young but I do know how you should be treated and this was not it. Like I said i am now working with a new place and the person I am working with is what you would think they should be in this kind of business. He has called me back and he will be meeting my dad next week for a fitting for a mobile chair.

  • They were very efficient. They took care of all the insurance things. They came out and checked it and they knew right away what parts were needed and ordered them. They contacted my insurance agent and they came out and fixed it and that was that. I never saw a bill.
