    L & R Suburban Landscaping Inc
L&R has done 2 major and 1 minor project for us over the past 2 years. The quality of workmanship is excellent. Ron and Dawn are creative and wonderful to work with. Their crews are skilled and courteous. They are very conscientious about keeping the worksite as clean as possible at the end of each day which is so appreciated. We love the crew so much, we made them a thank you dinner on the last day of construction. We are thrilled with their work, especially the mason work on the English wall in front of our home and the amazing custom fireplace on our back patio.

    Northrup Remodeling, Roofing & Exteriors
In August of 2017, I hired Northrup Remodeling to complete an extensive remodeling project (attached garage, master bathroom, bedroom conversion into a walk-in closet and 2nd floor laundry room, new driveway, backyard brick patio, siding for the entire house, exterior window painting and, repairs on a number of deferred-maintenance items within the house). Ron Burgess was the project manager. Northrup Remodeling did an outstanding job. More specifically, Ron Burgess and all of the subcontractors that he assigned to the project were professional, courteous, dedicated and delivered a product that exceeded my expectations in a number of instances. Ron worked tirelessly behind the scenes to coordinate all of the work, was incredibly responsive to all my questions and, provided me with invaluable advice and insight. In a number of instances, Rons insight and advice spared me from wasting money on unnecessary work and yielded aesthetic outcomes that were better than I could have imagined. / / / / / / / / / DETAIL / / / / / / In August of 2017, I hired Northrup Remodeling to complete the following: Tear down a detached two car garage and rebuild an attached two car garage in its place; Tie the new garage into a pre-existing mudroom (entailed a small expansion of the existing mudroom); Full demolition and rebuild of the master bathroom; Conversion of a bedroom into a walk-in closet for the master bedroom and a second floor laundry room; One window replacement; Installation of new siding on the entire house; Exterior painting of all windows, chimneys and brick facade; Replacement of brick driveway with a concrete driveway; Removal and reinstallation of brick patio in the back of the house; Demolition and replacement of front brick walkway; Repair of deferred-maintenance items (railing and balusters, screen door, foyer tile and grout lines, door handles, interior doors, kitchen sink, cabinet drawers, etc.) Interior construction concluded by January 2018. Following a break for winter, the remaining exterior work was completed by July 2018. Ron Burgess was the Northrup supervisor for the entire project. My experience with Northrup was fantastic and working with Ron was a joy. Ron brought to bear the skills and abilities of subcontractors that provided a high level of quality work and professionalism. At the outset of the project, Ron set out a timetable for the start and expected completion dates for each part of the project. Ron started the project on time and kept everything moving along so that the project finished within expectations. Moreover, any time I had a question, Ron was readily available and promptly addressed any issues to my full satisfaction. Ron also brought to bear the expertise of Kathleen Winter (interior designer) and Richard Groh (architect). Ron, Kathleen and Richard worked extraordinarily well together during the project. In every instance, they were able to suggest great ideas, integrate the goals/desires I had for the finished product and, most important, they dissuaded me from making certain design/material choices that I now realize would have been a huge mistake. Throughout the entire project, I was very impressed with the subcontractors Ron selected for the work. In every one of my interactions with the subcontractors, I found them to be professional, courteous, excited about their work and committed to delivering an outcome that in many instances surpassed my expectations. When each subcontractor started their part of the project, they stayed on the project until it was completed in a number of instances, working far later in the day than I would have reasonably expected or, working on the weekends.

    Trinity Landscaping & Excavating Inc
Quick summary: Friendly and helpful crew that did a great job at a good price. Highly recommend. Details: Travis came out to my property in the fall of 2017 and was easy to speak with regarding my job widening the driveway/new curb, old patio removed and new concrete patio poured, long concrete sidewalk installed which included removing some young trees and grading, and a large class 5 parking area installed which also included substantial bobcat work. He offered helpful suggestions and also offered to move a storage shed and remove some bush stumps if I hired his crew for the job. It was too late in the fall to begin, but in the spring of 2018 his crew was at my property pleasantly quick, which was as soon as the frost level allowed. I met most of the crew, which were all friendly. They worked hard and left the place clean as they could at the end of each day including blowing dirt off my driveway. Everything looks Very professional. The patio looks great. The sidewalk was a bit of a challenge as it was at a steep grade and we discussed keeping the steps to a minimum. We ended up increasing the length of the sidewalk at an additional cost, but were able to remove All steps, which is Really nice. Everyone who sees the sidewalk is impressed and comments on how good and professional it looks. The parking area looks nice as well. In order to get the grade nice and gradual, he ended up using more loads of class 5/gravel than predicted. Though I payed a little more, he also Gave me additional loads as he wanted it to look good. The curb/widening of the driveway looks great. His crew prepared the add-on area with class 5 so its ready for an asphalt crew. And he is going to recommend my asphalt work to a crew hes familiar with. As he said, he moved my shed to a better location, about an acre from its original spot, and pushed out the stumps. I feel Travis is conscientious and will do a professional job folks are happy with. He came across as a guy who wants his customers to be happy and is willing to work with you to make the job look great. I would not hesitate in hiring him again and believe others will be very pleased with their work. Thank you Travis and crew.

CROSSTOWN CONCRETE & BRICK PAVING INC
Greg spent a lo of time with us assessing our needs, helping up with the design work and color selection, and explaining all the factors that go into building a long lasting driveway. He was genuinely interested in doing the best possible job for us and we were completely satisfied with his work. Highly recommend.

    Schulze Excavating
Jeff and his team were profession, responsive and timely. He made great suggestions in helping us place our house on a tricky lot. While he was not the cheapest quote we got, it was competitive. His workmanship and expertise made it worth having him do the work. He came recommended by both our building contractor and friends (one who is also a builder). He tried to minimize clearing trees and made suggestions on ones to save. Unfortunately the power company had us clear more than we wanted for the easement, Jeff and his crew work hard to keep this to a minimum. We were very pleased in his work and looking forward to having him do the final grading and cleaning up of the site and our drive once the house is construction is complete.

    KEV'S TRUCKING & EXCAVATING
He was excellent. He wedged me in on a Saturday, giving up part of his weekend for me. I am under a big time crunch, and he really came thru for me. I had planned on doing this myself with my own equipment, but ran into a series of issues, and he came to the rescue. Thanks Kev, I appreciate your hard work for me. You dug the hole, now it's time for me to fill it. If only I can dodge the rain tonite/tomorrow I'll be all set.

    A to Z Construction Inc.
This is a small business with customer focus. We were pleased with their responsiveness throughout the process. The pricing was good relative to other quotes we had. Their quote included labor and installation materials, I had to shop to find and buy the tile, tub, and toilet. I got a good discount using Val's name on the tile. The demolition and install was done in a week. The quality of the tile installation is excellent. I had to do the general contracting work like pulling city permits (if needed, call your city), buying plumbing fixtures, etc. also if you use them as part of a larger remodel like we did, you will likely have to do some muddling, sanding, and painting of wall areas around the tile work that is not part of their scope. I would hire them again to do any tile work in my home because of the quality I got for the price and they were very trustworthy.

    Concrete Builders
We're very pleased with the work done by Concrete Builders. John was responsive and friendly, and I think he really went out of his way to fully explain the water damage problem we were having on the section of driveway that meets the garage (the apron), and how exactly he would fix it in the most effective way possible. He also accommodated our wish to put a nice curve along the edge of the porch. He and his crew did a great job during demolition and in pouring the new concrete, and cleaned up everything nice and neat. We couldn't be happier with the result, and have received many compliments from neighbors. We'll definitely use Concrete Builders again for any future projects.

    KEV'S TRUCKING & EXCAVATING
Kevin did a very good job considering the conditions. The soil was very dry and hard and tough to work, but he stuck with it and cleared the land nicely.
Nice guy, hard worker and easy to work with.
