    I first saw the leaf filter product at the Golf Show - I was impressed. They came to my house to do their sales pitch a few days later - Not So Impressed. The sales pitch was bad - seemed like a "passive agressive scam" - their sales gimmick was very bad. They told me the "residential guy" wasn't able to come so the "commercial" guy came. But this was a good thing, because he could get me in on a commercial run and save me some money. The residential quote (with all the discounts) was good for a year, but the commercial quote was only good for that night - with no additioinal discounts. I don't like being pressured so I said NO. I also looked them up on the BBB website and found the EXACT SAME Gimmick was told to someone else. However - I really liked the product so I called the company direct to see what was up. They were much more professional and believable. I agreed to have them installed. The installation person was very nice and professional. He did a great job. I am very happy with them. The company really should talk to their sales staff - and stop with the gimmicks. They don't need them. The product is good - and that should be enough. Maybe the gimmick is their way of not having to give you the discounts they promote - maybe its a way to get you to sign quickly - I don't know ..... but if you can look past the bad sales pitch, the product (and company) is good.

    Very pleased! I used a "buy it now" deal on line. Latter the same day I got an email from Richard confirming the purchase. He confirmed an appointment on one of my requested days. He gave me a two hour arrival window. He was a few minutes late but no big deal. Busy time of the year. Richard was very friendly and professional. Got right to work and was done in no time.

    Two men came out to do the work. One was apparently a new employee and one was a more senior employee. The newer man was small in stature and could barely maneuver the machine they used to do the clean up (it looked like a riding lawnmower). The more senior employee was on his phone for 10 minutes or so while he had the newer one run the machine. The smaller man had trouble with the machine and ran over one of my solar lights and about two feet of rubber edging around the landscaping. When the other guy heard the noise he came over to see what had happened. Both men tried to hide/get rid of the broken solar light. They picked up the glass and other pieces of the solar light and threw them in the wooded area behind the house. I'm not sure if the smaller man ran over and cut the cables to the television, phone and internet before or after he ran over the solar light and edging. My mother went to turn on the t.v. and found that the service was disrupted. A short while later she went to use the phone and found there was no tone at all. I then tried to go online and found that was also not working. I was very angry and called the company office to let them know what had happened. I was told that the two employees would be talked to and if I wanted the company would reimburse me for the broken light. They would not accept any responsibility for cutting the cables and leaving us without phone, t.v. and internet for several days. The person I spoke with said that was Comcast's fault for not making sure the cables were buried. He told me I would need to speak with Comcast and have them come out to take care of it. I am very dissatisfied with the service they provided and lack of professionalism displayed by all. I will never use Green Horizons again.

    They showed up on the day we agreed to and on time. My husband was home when they arrived and watched them clean some of the windows - he said they were very meticulous. They were there a good portion of the day. They did a better job than I could have done myself (I can be pretty picky)!The windows don't have a single streak, and are SO clean...it is wonderful. The deck had some dirt and mossy green stuff on it. It looks like brand new, not a speck of dirt or anything. They did a great job. This is the second time we have used Dixon's and we would use them again in the future should the need arise. If you are getting ready for a big event at your house (graduation or wedding) or selling your house - hire Dixon's, you won't be disappointed! The price they charge is very fair for the quality of work that they do.

    Gutter King did a nice job cleaning the gutters.  We would definitely hire them again.  They also provided a free quote for gutter cover installation, which we elected not to do, but there was no pressure, just a timely quote.  Recommended.

    Krech Exteriors
    I've had varied and strangely mixed experiences with Krech Exteriors after hiring them to redo the entire exterior on my home after storm damage.  The original customer service rep I got wasn't very responsive and was later replaced during the process which didn't surprise me.  The work was completed and my house looked great, but I did have follow up on a number of quality issues.  I will detail those below and how Krech responded.  I'm leaving out some details of other issues I had with the 1st rep for brevity.
    1)  After siding install was completed, I noticed 1/2 of my windows were missing silicone/poly sealant.   I called and the next day the rest were completed.  Strangely, before this happened the crew actually asked me the home owner where some of the sealant materials were and why they weren't there yet as if I was somehow in charge of that.  I actually had to call Krech on the crews behalf and was told they should know where it is.  Very strange.   The sealant was done at very cold temperatures, so I'm not sure how well I trust the seals.  I have to trust they used ploy that can be applied at 0C.  Some of the seals are showing gaps now.  Hmm.
    2)  As some other reviewers experienced, one of my cable lines was pulled out without warning/notice and where the line went in was sided over.  I took it upon myself to drill a new hole and re-install the cable because I needed internet back online quickly and didn't have confidence in the Krech siding crew to reconnect it quickly and do it right.  Strangely, the other cable line was left in.  I expect notification and time of re-install of any line into my house pulled out.  This was a fail.
    3) Shortly after trim was done,  a piece of edge drip trim fell off my house prior to gutter install.  I noticed nails were too low and not seating in the wood.  I nailed it back on myself correctly and requested full re-inspection of the trim install.  Krech responded in a timely manner and had someone come out and check the rest of the house and said the rest looked OK after a short walk around.  It seemed like a visual ground check only where I was expecting someone to go examine every inch of trim on the roof level.  I would not be shocked if something else falls off in the coming years.
    4)  About 1 year after roof replacement, I had a water damage issue in a small 90 degree corner.   I called Krech and requested warranty service.  I will grant them that this it was hard to foresee how the water migration happened here. Someone was out the next day to inspect and take pictures.  No assurances were given at that time leaving me feel nervous.  Within a week they had a crew of 2 repair the damage and redo the roof flashing to prevent the issue free of charge.  I was pleased at how they took responsibility and honored the "lifetime" guaranty.  This went a long way for me in redeeming my impression of the company and is the reason why I gave them some A grades.

    They were very nice and did a good job. They did forget to clean 2 ft. at the end of my back gutter, but nothing to bring them back to finish. Must have over looked the spot. Hope to use them again next year.
