    FRATTALONE'S ACE HARDWARE
    On January 13, 2019, I bought a large Toro snow blower at the Columbia Heights Frattalone's Ace Hardware store. I paid $1,050. for the snow blower, and $30. for delivery. I was told that I would be contacted by the delivery people on Monday to arrange for delivery. I did not hear from them. On January 17, I called the Columbia Heights Frattalone's Ace hardware store to inquire about delivery. They referred me to the delivery people at the St. Paul store. The delivery person told me that they would call me this morning to arrange for delivery. Today is Friday, and they did not call. There is a large snow storm predicted for Sunday night, and I have no snow blower.

    Stubby's Firewood
    Great. Dennis brought his two sons along to help carry & stack the wood. They were hard working with no complaining. And, this is the first time anyone told us that the firewood stand we had purchased doesn't really hold a full cord. Dennis asked where we wanted the extra wood! We were really impressed & will definitely call him again.

    I would highly recommend Stuff-It Moving & Storage for anyone looking for short term storage if needed during a remodeling project and you still want to have access to your belongings. The delivery system is unique in the industry and allows the pod to be placed in the exact location you want. The unit was exceptionally clean and completely water tight. Delivery and pick-up was as promised on the dates and times arranged. Cost was $159.00 per month plus a one time $69.00 delivery fee and no charge for pick-up.

    Dave never oversold or interferred with my initial idea. When we ran onto a unusual design issue he asked me to come to his shop and showed me options to resolve what could have been a problem. His patience and understanding was remarkable. He was always concerned that from initial design to final installation it looked exactly as I had imagined. I would recommend him to the most fastidious customer. He won't disappoint.

    Renters Warehouse
    Very irresponsible. Tin Nguyen is the worst one to deal with. I had seen an opening online for an apartment I was very interested in. I contacted the agent as the instructions told me to do. The agent's name is Tin Nguyen. So we set up an appointment with him. On the day, a couple hours before the appointment, he confirmed with me that it is still on. After work, my husband and I went there for the 530 pm appointment. In the rain, we had to wait for him, because he didn't show up. Called him, he rejected my calls. I was in shock, I kept calling and he kept rejecting it. Then I text him to ask where he is. He text back, saying he got a flat. Shady right? Why wouldn't he text me earlier, when he knew he was gonna be late/not gonna make the appointment? I text him back, "Reschedule? What is your plan?" and no response till now. Called him over the next few days and left voice-mails. NOT ONCE responded to VMs/messages and I need to mention again, NEVER picks up his phone. Even if the place is already taken or whatever, why didn't he have the decency just to say so? NOT PROFESSIONAL at all. If he is like this: stood us up for a showing, how horrible will he be after we become renters? What if he never responds when we have issues? Now I think we have just dodged a bullet by not having to rent from Renters Warehouse. Oh also just FYI, I have talked to an online rep from the website and he said he will forward my info to the office in MN so they can assist us, they never called us. This is a company that you DO NOT want to start have any dealings with.

    This by far made my credit worse rather than better.  They were harassing, not helpful, manipulative and game playing , holding money from a wrong account I did not give permission to beyond the first time for down payment.  I wanted to get my credit in order and Joseph McGlyn was recommended. First off, I was waiting an hour before he even saw me, he was running late, staff had to go in a few times to check on him. He offered a gift card for 50.00 to becker furniture world as compensation for his rudeness.
    It went downhill from there, they charged me 600 for ruining my credit, being rude and holding money from wrong accounts , you can never get to Joseph to communicate if he doesn't want to talk to you, and if for whatever reason you get on his wrong side, he will not want to talk to you .  Stressful, game playing , and they don't stand behind their guarantee.
    I would NEVER recommend.. Run FAST!!!  You will pay for nothing and your credit may get worse all under harassing conditions. Very frustrating service!!

    Renters Warehouse
    We didn't have a very smooth first month with Renters Warehouse.  Most things that went wrong all tie back to the leasing agent.  
    1.  The Renters Warehouse leasing agent used the pictures that were taken by our realtor without our realtor's permission to list the property on the Renters Warehouse site.  Our realtor let us know about this.  Seems unethical to do this without permission. 
    2.  The RW leasing agent was going to help us with ensuring our home was licensed..  We did submit the licensing form to him on 10/28 but he never followed up with the licensing division of Renters Warehouse to get this completed.  This wasn't done as of 18 days after being placed in the property.  We were only notified of this because of a police complaint against our tenant.  I realize per contract the liability is on us.  However, as a professional landlord company that understands all of the rules and regulations regarding renting, I would expect that before Renters Warehouse puts anyone in a home, they ensure the house is licensed (if applicable).  I took RW leasing agent's word that he'd get it done and it never did get done.  This puts Renters Warehouse in a bad spot as it reflects badly on the services you provide and put us, as your client, at risk.  This comes down to a matter of ethics.   
    3.  I never met the tenant the RW leasing agent chose for us for this home.  We did review the report Renters Warehouse sent to us.  I'm not sure what criteria Renters Warehouse uses to screen potential tenants to send on to owners.   As a new rental property owner, we thought her report looked ok.  It wasn't perfect.  However, we figured since it met Renters Warehouse criteria that it was within a decent range. 
    4  Becaues of #2 where we're not licenced, when we were originally having problems with the tenant and were thinking about evicting her, we were told by the lease enforcement area of RW (phenomenal by the way) with Renters Warehouse that until we are licensed, we really can't evict the tenant.  Additionally, we are at risk until licensed that if the tenant finds out, we could be
    subject to fines.
    5.  The person in inspections originally did not have time to meet with the inspector which was going to push out our inspection past the holidays.  However, once we had a problem entering the home due to an uncooperative tenant, he made the time he previously didn't have to come to the home for the inspection.
     
    Update on 1/13/14: 
    1.  I contacted Renters Warehouse on 12/26 because the repair for our inspection hadn't been completed which meant we couldn't get licenced.  I emailed four different areas and none of them responded back to me.  I followed up the first week of January and received back a response.  The inspection is pushed out to the end of January due to vacations. 
    2.  Our ACH depoit wasn't set up even thought we filled it out with our original paperwork.  I had to work with someone to get this set up so they would do direct deposit to our checking. 
    3.  Jarret with Lease Enforcement is an excellent resource.  He was firm but very helpful with me throughout all of the initial tenant issues.
    The leasing agent really soured the deal from the beginning and my experience interacting with the different areas of Renters Warehouse has been mixed at best.  Any time I email, I'm never sure what I'm going to get.  I may get an awesome response.  I may get no response and will have to follow up.  I may get a response that doesn't make sense and I have to follow up. 
    We are remaining with Renters Warehouse in the near term but I wouldn't recommend them in their current state.  Renters Warehouse has a great opportunity to turn around their communication and customer service.  Make your customers feel valued and important.  If a client emails you, respond.  When you respond, respond timely.  Make the communication professional.  This sounds very basic but goes a long way in building a good relationship with your clients.  I would love to see this improve as we would be very interested in sticking with Renters Warehouse if we could get good, consistent customer service.

    Update on 1/27/14:  another snuggle.  Our local city inspector was at the house for a third time and our inspection failed because the window in the master bedroom has yet to be repaired.  We were told by Renters Warehouse that the window was fixed on 1/7/14 and it's been paid in full per the pull from our Renters Warehouse account.  I have another escalation call in to inspections with Renters Warehouse.  

    Update 8/12/14:  long story short, we ended up evicting the troubled tenant and terminated our relationship with Renters Warehouse.

    We had the required 7 years of paperwork from a family business that we have sold and didn't want to just recycle it as it contained personal information from former customers. Due to some family issues I wasn't able to have everything ready by the expiration date of the voucher. I spoke with Dave at Veterans Shredding and he was very accommodating and allowed me the time I needed to get everything together. He called and set a time to come to the house, he was here on time and was very efficient. He even showed us just how the process worked. I would highly recommend Veterans Shredding to anyone in need of this service. It was so great to have them come to the house instead of having to try to find a place to take all the boxes of paperwork that we needed shredded. I will definitely pass this information on to family and friends who might be in need of this kind of service.

    I called a couple days prior to the service date, a Wednesday, I believe, to inquire about price/availability and left my number with their answering service for a call-back. I received a call Friday afternoon, stating that I was on the schedule, which was slightly bewildering. If I hadn't been on vacation that week I wouldn't have been able to be home in time.
    But, the representative from Viking, who was on the opposite side of town, quickly rearranged his schedule and was at my place within an hour. He was friendly, personable, and professional. Their trucks are equipped with cameras that follow the documents through the shredding process that you may watch on a video screen at the side of the truck.
    Good service, fair price. Would recommend and will hire in the future.

    They did not meet me at the time arranged but they did call me before that time  to let me know they were running late. They apologized for being late. I had trouble connecting with them to set up the appointment but they explained that they were having issues with their phone company. They were very accomodating about setting a date and time. They were very pleasant to work with and I would definitely do business with them again.
