    Century Insulation
Century Insulation came out and first provided a free estimate for spray foam insulation, styrofoam chutes, dense pack insulation, fiberglass batting, rigid foam XPS board over all accessible attic bypasses, roof trusses, ceiling cavities, floor cavities, vertical knee walls. Explaining in detail the work that would need to be done. They quickly sent a detailed estimate by the end of that same day. They were able to perform the job within one week from the time of the estimate. On the day of the work they were prompt, professional, polite and courteous. They used drops and covered finished areas in plastic and cleaned up after themselves. I think they went above and beyond to improve and reduce the energy loss that was happening due to the lack of insulation. Even installing roof vents that were not there previously for a minimal extra cost. I have already recommended them to a friend who was looking for an insulation professionals and will recommend again.

    Century Insulation
The entire process, from the initial phone contact, on-site inspection, quote and installation, went smoothly. The gentleman (Ryan) that came to do the on-site inspection for the quote was very professional and took the time to explain what would be done. Unlike two other companies that I had quote the job, only did Century Insulation crawl around in my constricted attic and determine what needed to be done. The others only stood on a stepladder and surveyed the attic space with a flashlight. I accepted the quote the following day was able to schedule the work to be done to fit my schedule. Work was completed on schedule and as quoted with no surprises. The two man crew worked almost non stop. Cleanup was great - really couldn't tell they had been there. I would definitely recommend Century Insulation at least providing a quote for any insulation needs.

I have a 1 1/2 story home with knee walls, so only have a 2 x 4 between the sheet rock (inside) and the roof shingles--not much room for insulation. While having the shingles replaced by another company Houle came out, cut a hole in the roof, pumped in R-50/R-30 cellulose behind the knee walls. The roof boards were pulled off, the existing insulation (three sheets of 1/2" styrofoam) was discarded, and closed-cell polyurethane foam was sprayed into the space between the 2x4s. Now, March 2017, the upstairs is 10 degrees warmer than last winter. Would you consider that a success?

It was terrific throughout! I had major ice dams and was experiencing problems inside the home every winter (cracked ceilings, dripping water) because of the dams over the years. No other contractor I hired did anything to fix the actual problem. They added turbines, added cables to melt ice; threw more insulation in but nothing worked. Paid $1000 one year to have dams steamed off.
I had a full CenterPoint energy audit done in Sept. 2014, where they highlighted all of the air leaks in my home and the fact that, after a remodel, there were an inadequate number of fresh air chutes and blocked vents, so not enough cold air could enter the space.
Found Lewis Insulation on Angie's List and am very happy I did. Everything -- from scheduling to final clean up to a visit just this morning to double check a small issue-- was handled professionally.  They sealed all openings, sealed the top plate, added chutes, opened the vents, and added insulation to the attic, then insulated and sealed the attic entry point.
Lewis also does a blower door test before and after the project. My air loss was cut by ~30% by the time they were done.  Now I have no melting on my roof and it looks like most of my neighbor's homes -- just a solid blanket of snow on my roof. A thing of beauty!
Thanks so much Brian, Rich, and Lewis team.

Jim was always punctual and he cleaned up and removed all of the debris from the job.  He did everything we asked him to do and we have other projects that we will be hiring him for.  He is an excellent handyman and I would trust him with handling jobs big and small.

Overall everything went great. Craig came out for the quote and covered up any areas that risked getting messy while he was looking around in the attic. Thoroughly explained his intent for work based on the audit we had done and the deficiencies he found. We had two other contractors look and note the same checklist to complete, but Craig not only had the best demeanor, but he had the best quote (one of the contractors never got back to us). When it came time to schedule Craig was very responsive by email and had his crew out right at 7:30 to start to work. The attic went by without a hitch in something like 4-5 hours. The group came back the next day (we split the work into two days) right at 7:30 to work on the basement. They asked permission to cut through sheet rock to access areas that were missing insulation and dealt with a whole mess of mouse poop and icky insulation. They cleaned up well aside from the dust and did what they could to repair any large holes left from the work (our basement is a work in a progress so we didn't care much about cutting into anything since everything is coming out anyway). There are some areas outside where the spray foam hit the house or the rocks outside, but otherwise everything looks really great and we look forward to our next utility bill to compare it to last year and see how much more efficient we're running now.

Jason and his crew did a great job. It took them a little over two hours, they cleaned up after they were finished and he filled out the rebate paperwork for me as well so I was able to just mail it off.

They specialize in solar, but it’s a full service company.  Since they are licensed for construction, I had them do a lot of doors, trim, flooring, vanadium, etc.  They re-did the bathroom in my rental property.  They were excellent.  They always kept you up to date about what was going on, scheduling, permits, the people and what they were looking for.  They insulated the attic also in the rental property.  I will continue to use them in the future.

It went great over all.  His bid was within a few hundred dollars of the other bid I had received, and I just liked him better.  I didn't mind that  he would be alone in my house.  He was able to start the next week, and when we added the flooring work halfway through the project, he was able to incorporate that work into his schedule so we didn't have to wait.

He started off by sealing off the room.  He is certified for lead paint removal, which while I don't think I had any, it was nice to know that there wouldn't be lead paint dust all over the house if there was.  There was no dust in the house throughout the project, and the bathroom was swept with his equipment neatly stacked nightly (not that we could have used, it was just nice to know that he wasn't leaving a mess.)

He brought in a plumber and pulled permits for the plumbing work, and when he found out one portion would not require a permit, he informed me and knocked a portion off the bill.

I invited him back to take "after pictures" when I finished painting.

I had him do some patching on my roof as well and will be contacting him when I have the roof replaced.

All-in-all one of my better experiences with having work done around my house.

after a few calls i was told he would give me a call on sat around 10 am before he would come out. i received no call, at 11 am i called him. i got no answer or call back in the following days. i guess i am not really that shocked. he was friendly during the estimate. i did find it odd that he had no paper, pen, or tape. he looked around and eye balled a bid. he did tell me he was booked threw the week. he didn't try to schedule anything past that time frame, seemed reluctant to do so. instead he gave me the weekend appointment and did an no call no show. i guess i wasn't a priority job.
