    A to Z Contracting Inc.
Val was responsive when I inquired about a quote. After receiving the quote I took almost two months to follow-up and he was immediately responsive and we set a start date for the project. This was pretty small, a narrow tile wall in my bathroom removed, replaced with drywall, painted, and then installation of an IKEA sink (which can be tricky with their plumbing). The project was completed about three weeks ago, it looked fantastic just as I wanted, and I've had no problems or cause for complaints in three weeks of use so far. I would definitely seek out A to Z again for additional work.

    Pro-services Llc
Excellent. I first used Pro Services in 2015 when I bought my house and needed the interiors painted. Mr. Castillo's crew did a great job on that project and gave me a fair price. In Spring 2017, I called Mr. Castillo back to take a look at a bathroom that needed remodeling. The quote he provided was very fair, many times lower than a quote I received from a different contractor. Mr. Castillo showed me pictures of other bathrooms he'd done, and we settled on an overall look that I was going for. Pro Services works well for people who know exactly what they want as well as people who don't have any idea. If you're a control freak, Mr. Castillo can do the job to your exact specifications. If you're looking for a contractor who can bring ideas to the table, Pro Services does lots of custom work for pricier homes in the Twin Cities, and can bring that experience to your project. They do all types of jobs, big and small. They never made me feel insignificant for my small bathroom remodel. The job itself was done really well. The demo of the old bathroom was done quickly, they used special drywall that deals best with moist environments like bathrooms. The Pro Services team brought several things up to code, such as electrical, that were not up to code in the old bathroom. I also had them install a proper venting fan which they were able to do without issue. They gave me total autonomy over choosing everything from toilet, sink, shower, and other fixtures, as well as tile and paint. When certain choices were out of stock, they worked with me to get something close to my vision. The team was the total package able to do drywall, flooring tile work, paint, toilet install, shower build out and plumbing work, as well as the previously mentioned electric and fan venting. All top notch. The same can be said for the interior house painting they did for me back in 2015. Pro Services showed me pictures of what was trending in home paint at the time, and I opted to go in that direction to give my home a more modern look. The home had not been painted since the 60s. Mr. Castillo's team got me a good deal on paint, and knew that I was anxious to get moved into my new home, so they worked through the night to get the job done so I could get moved in. There were no spills or slip-ups, and Mr. Castillo is very receptive to feedback, so if you see something needing special attention you are encouraged to bring it up. For the number of man hours spent on the project, the cost of materials, and the attention to detail, I thought the project was very well worth the money and feel that I got a very good deal.

    Best Plaster & Drywall
Garth does an excellent job.  Took care of all the water damage from ice dams in the winter.
His price was well below the other quotes I received.  He took care of all the billing details with the insurance company.
Will use him again and highly recommend him.

I had started some prep work for painting, and Lawrence came into to fix the drywall.  He did all of the mudding, taping, skimming, etc.  He was on time, very friendly, explained what he was going to do when asked, and worked extremely efficiently.

    Patrick Miller Construction Inc
This was the only contractor that I was able to find (without too much effort) whose range of work included both the concrete work I had done on my house and the wood stairs deck and cover over the deck.
Their quote for both the concrete work and the deck was competitive with other concrete and deck contractors who quoted the two parts of the separately based on their specialties, so choosing Patrick Miller was an easy choice based on both the price and the fact that I needed only one contractor to do the entire job. Also every representative of Patrick Miller gave me confidence that they know what they were doing and were going to do the job properly.
This confidence did manifest itself in the final product. The replaced concrete in the garage and driveway was done well and sloped perfectly, they repaired all of the damage done to the concrete block wall on the side of the house (some damage due to the removal process, some due to the original construction of the steps when the house was built) for no extra cost and built a well constructed set of wooden steps and decking. Of special note is the cover over the deck (keeps rain off of the deck, is an entrance to the house from this deck) which was built very nicely with a shingled roof.
I would highly recommend Patrick Miller for any work of a similar nature to what I had done.

Green Clean Restoration & Carpet Care
They came quickly and did a stellar job cleaning up after a pipe broke and got my finished basement wet. They are now about halfway through repairing and replacing the damaged material.  This is one of the best companies I have ever worked with. They have been prompt, professional, thorough and reasonably priced. My only complaint is with Angie's List for not having a rating higher than A.  Thanks

Jim was always punctual and he cleaned up and removed all of the debris from the job.  He did everything we asked him to do and we have other projects that we will be hiring him for.  He is an excellent handyman and I would trust him with handling jobs big and small.

    Handyman Connection Twin Cities
I was and I give that one a partial success.  They ended up finishing a hallway for me that actually had to be torn down and redone.  It sounds like the first time it just didn't happen very well.  This was done 8 to 9 months ago.  The approximate cost of service was the $99 big deal for 2 hours service.  I have used them for the drywall.

Dennis met with us and gave us a bid. We accepted the bid on a Monday and the job was completed before the end of the week. Dennis was on time and did excellent work. Wanted us to inspect the work completed before payment. Cost was exactly what he had bid.
