I contacted various companies on Monday and Ductworks was the first I could get an appointment with. The tech was very nice and informative and diagnosed it as needing a new dual capacitor. AService Today!I had Service Today! complete two separate projects for me. First, I had an ice dam fall on my A/C condenser last winter and needed repair/replacement for an insurance claim. Second, I replaced my old water heater and boiler with a new combined tankless boiler & water heater unit. This involved complete repiping in the basement since I was also moving the mechanicals as part of a basement renovation. It was a large and complicated project, and ServiceToday! was awesome. Shout outs to Blake, Randy, Dave, Marc, Willy, and the rest who were part of the project. Like I said, it was pretty complicated and their team was always professional, friendly, courteous, and took pride in their work. I also love that they are diligent about calling 20-30 minutes before arrival so I don't have to sit at home waiting during a 2-hour window like I've frequently done with other service providers. Also, the latter project was an expensive one ($20k+) but their pricing was competitive and fair, and they have great financing options available. Would 100% use them again.- Aaron S.

AStafford Home ServiceMy 20-year-old split AC system died in June 2020, right before a month of intense heat and humidity. I called several AC companies but they said they would not work in an attic in such heat. Another highly-rated AC firm recommended I call Stafford, one of the few companies that will do this work in summer. Stafford came out and looked at the situation and sent me an estimate the same day. It was considerably less than the estimate another firm had given me over the phone, and with the detail I wanted. I accepted the bid and they gave me a July date for replacement, making clear that if it was extremely hot the work might be delayed. Crews came on the agreed date and worked hard inside and out for almost three days to replace the old system. In this age of COVID 19 they wore masks in the house and clean-up at the end of the day was excellent. My new system works like a dream. If I need work again on my AC or boiler, I know who I will call. These guys were outstanding.- Mary Jane S.

AThis guy Vitale is great! He was very knowledgeable and honest! He did not try to tell me I need a new furnace like the other companies, even though that is mostly his business (installing new systems). He fired up my furnace and said I can definitely keep using my current furnace if I want to...that it was not necessary to replace it. If I decide to get a new furnace, I'm using him for sure!

AIt was a dark and cold October morning, the furnace was not working. I found a problem and reset the thermo switch, furnace started working again. When I got the manual out, I also noticed that the furnace was 22 years old, time to look for a new one. I called several vendors for an appointment for a quote, most put me off for a 2-3 days. Mike, from Heating and Cooling 2, said how about tomorrow. He showed up promptly, and had several options to us by the end of the day. Told us it would be about 2 weeks for install. After a few phone calls to Mike, we chose our options. Dan called the next day and we scheduled our install date. That weekend the furnace quit again and kept shutting down. Called for service on Saturday, Vince got back to us quickly and said our heat exchanger was bad, and we need to shut the furnace down and see if the install date can be moved forward. Emailed Mike, who promptly got back to us said he emailed Dan who would get back to us on Monday about a reschedule. Monday morning Dan called early, while I was still in the shower, to say Brad and Brian would be at our house about 9:30 a.m. to do the install. Brad and Brian were very professional and worked hard to get the new furnace up and running. Brad took time to answer all my questions and when there was an unexpected issue with the install he consulted me about the options. The air-conditioning unit was not in stock because of the early furnace installation. The majority of the work was done during the furnace installation, running lines and electrical. When the unit arrived, Dan called to schedule the work. Nathan, who came and completed the job, was also very competent and professional. They sent in the required paperwork for the rebates to the vendors, relieving us of that task. Also the form for the tax credit was sent promply. All the employees who I have contacted at the company have been friendly, & helpful, willing to answer my questions or direct me to someone who can. I would highly recommend “Heating & Cooling 2” to anyone needing HVAC work.
