We had an excellent experience with Andrew at Discount Windows. He was very professional and straight forward. He helped us thru diagnosing a leaky patio door and gave multiplied options, but also let us know his opinion. He kept his appointments and was excellent in communication. Then, 1 year after installation, we had concerns about the door not sealing correctly. Not only did Andrew respond immediately, he came to our house the next day, agreed the door had a defect, placed a rush order on a full replacement and replaced it as soon as it arrived (no extra charges and no pushback to keep door). I was very impressed on the follow up and our new door is perfect. I have high trust in Andrews work and would recommend him to anyone.

Shawn Stariha was the owner of True North Glass. His company installed two windows (march 2017) and did such a poor, messy job that ice condensation forms around the edges. He set up a reinstall (April 2018) for when the weather was warmer, but didnt show up to redo the windows . I found out all his numbers go to a new glass company, Total Glass Professionals, who say they have no knowledge of him. He let his contractor license expire a month before he set up the reinstall appointment. So he knowingly lied and mislead me. The Attorney General has sent letters to him, and he saw my FB message to his (now defunct) companys page concerning this matter.

We replaced 5 full-frame windows in our house this year and contacted New Windows for America. I worked with John from the sales team and thought he was really wonderful. The windows came in faster than anticipated and communication was excellent between sales and the office staff to let me know where we were at in the project. Unfortunately, my overall experience was not great and a project of 5 windows took 3 months to complete. The first time we had a crew out to our home there were two large issues: the large bedroom window was mismeasured and too big for the opening and the kitchen window had a slider installed instead of a double-hung. Also, our screens were loose; one was torn. The crew that came out to install was open with me about initial issues and comfortable to work with. I had to wait for the replacement windows to come in. During that time one of our upstairs screens blew off the house and cracked on the ground because the crew didn't push the screen pins in. While my initial experience with sales and the first install wasn't terrible, and I tried to be patient about the issues coming up, the steps towards resolving the above mentioned issues was terrible. Poor planning at the warehouse with the installation crew meant that we had far too many unprepared visits to our house with wrong, defective items that spanned a 3 month period. Additional visits were sloppy; our siding was cracked and J-Channel was damaged, screws were sticking out of the window and visible outside of the house. Caulking was left in gobs around the exterior of windows to try to fill in space around the windows where J-channel couldn't cover. There was obviously no pride taken in the work being done and I was embarrassed to show off our nice, new windows. I didn't feel like New Windows for America or their contractors made it a priority to complete our project or take me seriously, which makes me wonder if being patient was a bad approach. Tonja, te project manager who I worked with through the conflict resolution, apologized several times during the process and even mentioned how embarrassed she was by everything that went wrong. On the 5th time out to our house New Windows for America sent out one of their OWN installers, Isaac. I will tell you, if I had worked with Isaac from the beginning I would never have uttered a complaint. He came in and ensured that all problems we had were taken care of and took his time with each window to ensure a neat and proper install. He even replaced the cracked siding and J-channel. A huge thank you to Isaac. I will not be working with New Windows for America again and have asked them to stop calling me about further offers. My experience was incredibly stressful.

Started project in September2017, did not finish siding until the week before Christmas 2017. Worker were working maybe 4 days a week and always had family issues that prevented them from working past 3:00p.m., rarely there before 9:00 a.m. Trim around windows has gaps between drywall and trim work. Door was promised to be factory painted and was not. Compromised to have them paint it and there are still spots not painted. Service door to garage has issues, lights do not work. Never got to gutters or driveway. Owner does not communicate and project manager does not either. Received a final bill before final inspection was completed. Was denied the opportunity after requesting to be at my home for the final inspections which occurred end of March 2018. It is now April and I am still waiting for communication regarding my requests. I assume the work that was completed is ok and will most likely have to pay to have another inspection completed to have peace of mind that my home is protected. The warranty on my door is invalid because I compromised to allow them to paint it or he lied about the factory painting. I called off the driveway after the snow flew in November and Amek forgot about doing the gutters. I am not a satisfied client of AMEK

The product and installation were excellent. We recently replaced 5 windows (or 9 depending on how you count the combined ones) with windows from the Marvin Integrity line. They look great, and the installation crew did a very professional job with the trim both inside and out. We liked the whole process from working with the salesperson to the crew leaders. The price was competitive, and the work efficiently and carefully done. We liked the attention to detail, the clean-up, and the follow-through. Great product and great company to work with.

The windows went really well - there was one delay well before they began, and they rescheduled appropriately. Everything was taken care of in 2 days. The siding guys were 4 days late, and then took 3 weeks longer than expected. The work was not completed well, and we had to ask for them to redo things several times. It looks pretty nice now, just don't look too closely at it - I still find flaws here and there. They also had no concept of the inspections required, which resulted in extra work after the initial inspection. The subcontractors they hired did, but they weren't listened to. The salesman was very pushy, and was adamant to get the deal that day rather than waiting. I should've held out to get my comparisons. A reputable company will guarantee their pricing for a period of time so you can properly research and ensure you're getting the best value. After reading reviews on other sites, this seems to be extremely common for them. When I called in after the siding guys didn't show up (when I took a day off work...), they said they'd call the crew leader and get back to me. It took 24 hours to get back to me. Generally if there's something I needed, it would take a day or two to hear back. And sometimes when they called back, they would contradict something they said before. Not impressed. Would not recommend.

This was a nightmare. What was supposed to take 2-3 weeks dragged on for 10 months. Very little communication was initiated by the management. When they showed up was always a surprise (like 6:30 AM on a Saturday). Minimal clean up around the house, I'm still finding hardware, caulk, and paint chips. From the first day, they damaged or destroyed the plants around the house, although I was promised it wouldn't happen. They also broke solar lights and decorations, and my doorbell. They the trellises hanging. One of the screens is an inch too short for the window. Metal edging under the window frames is not trimmed, which is a safety hazard. Very messy caulking. My beautiful front door will no longer close without force in warm weather. I have pictures of the poor workmanship and property damage. When I finally complained to the Better Business Bureau and used the door as an example, the lied in their response and said it was already like that. They decided they were done with the work, and sent the balance that I owed to a collection agency, which I paid. So much for their 100% satisfaction guarantee. I trusted them and believed their promises. I went with their very high bid because I believed you get what you pay for. Not true. Now I have to hire someone else to fix what they broke. My friends tell me to take them to court, but after 10 months of misery, I never want to see them again or hear any more lies.

The job went great. Communication was excellent all the way through the project. Ron was very knowledgeable about the windows I had in my house that I was getting replaced. He showed up when he said he would. Would highly recommend for skylights!

Before you buy anything from this company, make sure that you compare the quality and the price of what they sell, to what is available at the big box stores. I made the mistake of taking the salesman's word for the quality of lumber that I was getting. That was a mistake, since what I got, was very different than what I was promised. Basically, I got the same quality of lumber that is sold at big box stores for 130% of the big box price. What is worse, is that the salesman made no attempt to make the situation right. Instead, he avoided me for 5 days, and when he finally responded to me, he said "I am sorry that you did not like the lumber"...that was it...that is the extent of their quality and customer satisfaction guarantee....just few words of sympathy. Save yourself allot of money by going elsewhere.
