Deck Cleaning reviews in Chaska

I had contacted this company in April,2018 to give an estimate for my deckrepairs. Although Barack Brodni did come, and gave me an estimate he did not complete the work. At one point he sent two young men with two boards, although they left Because 12 boards (each 10 feet in length)were needed to complete the work. The last time I heard from him was in June of 2018 via email that he would stop by and I have not heard from him again. I would definitely not use this contractor for any project due to his very poor customer service and lack of professionalism.

Called New Again Deck Renewal to clean and stain my deck. They had fast communication throughout the job. Dependable, nice, hard-working, polite. Even looked out for my plants near the deck. Thanks! It looks great and I'm very happy. Will hire them again when the time comes.

The entire experience was great, starting with a competitive bid given by a responsive and helpful sales person, Steve.  Steve did not pressure us and understood we needed a little time to get bids and make choices.  Once we signed the contract, Steve kept in touch to let us know when we were getting close to the start date. Materials were delivered without any hassle for us and the project was completed by a professional two person team.  Steve kept in touch during the process and ensured we were happy with the final result.  Working with a professional company, who would get the job done in a reasonable amount of time, and warranty the work was very important in our selection of Outdoor Solutions.

The process of working with Todd Anderson. the owner, and Pete Blumer, the site manager, was positive and professional during the entire process. They were responsive to our needs and we reached an agreeable contract that was in the mid range pricewise from our other bids (4). However, we choose them because of their professionalism, comfort in our working with Todd at the beginning and the very positive references we received during the selection phase.

During the weeks preceding the proposed start date, Todd kept us informed as to the status and the likely start date. They arrived as projected and finished as they had projected. Very good communication throughout the process.

Pete Blumer, site manager, was a delight to have on the project and a very hard and productive worker. He started promptly at 8:00 or even before and was often here after 6:00. We can't say enough positive about Pete and his crew. They made every effort to do an outstanding job for us. This not only included an excellent paint job, but also the filling of several woodpecker holes and helping us close up a flying squirrel hole! They cleaned up each day and minimized the disruption during their work.

Where there were some minor touch ups needed at the end, Todd was very responsive in dealing with them.

Timbershield was punctual and on time for the sales appointment. The Sale Person Mike was courteous, and professional, and frankly I wish the service had lived up to his presentation.  Our deck needed to be sealed and stained; and we decided to move forward with Timbersheild.  We gave them a $500 deposit to start, and the job was delayed quite a bit. Obviously the delays were not their fault due the heavy rain we received this summer.  However, the communication between Patty and ourselves in trying to get this job rescheduled was very poor.  We never got a sense as to when the crew would be out to pressure wash our deck and seal our deck.  Timbershield uses independent contractor to perform their work.  I was not aware of that, and quite frankly the crew that eventually came out 3 weeks after the contract was signed seemed fine.  It was  2 man crew, and while they did a decent job of pressure washing the deck; however,  I really felt like they were too fast in sealing the deck.
My concern was confirmed when I noticed multiple areas where the wood on the deck is very soft.  This is contrary to how Timbersheild adverstises their permanent seal.  The pitch is that your wood will become semi-petrified after the seal has taken effect 24 hours later. I can assuredly say that isn't even close to case based on the way my deck has absorbed water after the last couple of rains.
Very disappointed, and would not recommend their services.  I am not one to leave negative reviews if honest effort was given, but I can not say that with any confidence in the case of Timbersheild.  Last comment, they were supposed to stain my deck, and 3 weeks later we haven't even gotten a call from Patty.  Pretty sad service.  I, of course, am cancelling the stain; and will now need to hire another Company to seal and stain my deck properly.

We were in the process of redoing our deck located at 112085 Stone Creek Dr. Chaska.  After getting other bids we decided to go with All Around. Work done by their sub-contractor Ben, did a fine job with the exception of parts delivered being damaged.  After this problem was solved, the workmanship and the follow-up by their people was satisfactory.  The decision to paint the deck support posts was well received and further improved the look of the deck.  It made the job more professional.  All Around's people have continued to follow-up on all phases of this job being well done.  Bob & Pinky

Overall things went well. The price was good and Barack was easy to contact and to communicate with. We had a deck that hadn't been treated in years and so required extensive cleaning before sealing. Barak and his team put in a lot of hours (four days) to make things look nice.
It wasn't until after Barak was done that we realized our deck probably needed more than just a cleaning and resealing to make it look truly good again. Next time I think we will pay more to have the deck sanded before it is sealed. Also, if your pergola is next to any windows, you may want to consider paying extra to have someone paint the sealer on the pergola rather than spray it on. There was a lot of overspray on the windows (despite extraordinary effort from the crew to contain it), and getting sealer off of windows is very difficult. (Try "Simply Green" concentrated spray to soften the spots and then SCRUB).
To conclude, Barak and his team did what they said they would do, at a very reasonable price. It isn't his fault that we didn't realize we wanted more, until after the job was done.

John, the owner, did the work himself.  He's professional, organized and what stood out  the most was that he really takes pride in his work.  Our deck looks beautiful!

My experience was fairly painless.  Aside for some rain delays, the work went quickly.  I was pleased with the end result.  This is the second time that I have had this provider seal my deck.

I am very disappointed in Marshall from Outdoor Solutions due to the lack of responsiveness and promises to get back to me on a specific date and then not hearing from him at all.  During the last week of June I made inquiries to several companies to bid a job, I received a phone call from Marshall about 5 days after my initial inquiry.  He offered to come out and bid the job and told me that he would be able to come out in the next day or two (since he was finishing up a job in the area where I live).  We did not hear back from him.  When I called him back a week later, he was very nice and apologized several times and asked for the opportunity to bid the job.  I agreed and he came out immediately that morning after speaking to him on the phone.  He came out on July 16th and told me that he would email the bid to me the following day (maybe even that night) and would follow up with a phone call to let me know that he emailed the bid.  This was a week ago and I have not heard back from Marshall at all.  The reason this is so disappointing is because Marshall was very knowledgeable about what would be best for our project, he was very personable, and his expertise is water damage (which is a large part of our project).  His lack of responsiveness and failure to get back to us is very frustrating.
