  • Robbie was incredibly thorough inspecting the furnace. His telescoping camera was unable to properly view the heat exchanger with the blower in place. He promptly pulled out the blower and scooter into the space where the blower had been taking a good amount of time scoping the heat exchanger. He found some significant issues for which I’m grateful!

  • This company was assigned by my Home Warranty Company when I put in a claim for warranty work for the non functioning air conditioner. It started out that I was to receive a call to schedule an appointment within 48 hours. After three days I called Sierra Mechanical Services to make the appointment since they had not called me. This Service call was initiated on July 17th with the Home Warranty Company. I was unable to get this Company out until July 27th at which time the service technician determined that there was no refrigerant in the system and without checking further inserted some leak sealant and added refrigerant. This lasted two days and then no A/C. I called Warranty Company and they reopened the claim. Waited five days for return visit. On Aug 4th the service technician determined that the system had a leak in the coil and a new coil needed to be ordered. This took until Aug 17th to be installed. During the nearly six hours it took the service technician to install the new coil he was mumbling and complaining about someone apparently at his office he was not happy with. I quite frankly didn't care to listen so I tried to ignore the complaining hoping he'd finish soon. Once done the A/C lasted three more days and again no cool air. I once again on Aug 20th called the Warranty Company to inform them the system once again failed. They again reopened the claim and I called Sierra Mechanical demanding a quick response. They scheduled someone to return to my home the next day on Aug 21st between 8:00 and 12:00 in the morning. I literally sat in my living room reading a book for four hours so that I would not miss them since I know the doorbell didn't work I would hear the knocking at the door. At 11:45 am I received a call from the Warranty Company on behalf of Sierra Mechanical Services that the service technician was at my home and that no one was home to answer the door and no one answered the phone. I never left the living room and both my house phone and cell phone was next to me and neither rang nor was there an indication of a missed call or voicemail left on either. But I received the call from the Warranty Company. I then immediately called Sierra Mechanical Services and they refused to send the technician back. I hung up on them and called the Warranty Company and demanded this Company be relieved from the claim and send me another Service Company which they did and was able to get someone out the same afternoon. Hopefully this new Service Company will resolve the A/C issue quickly.

  • We went through COSTCO for a estimate for a new system. Golden Valley Heating and Air Conditioning came out to look at our needs. The estimate was very close to another estimate we received for the same system. We went with Golden Valley due to the COSTCO gift card we would receive. They responded timely. Show up when they said they would. Installation went smoothly and we have been happy with the replacement system.

  • No complaints. Making an appointment was easy. The service guy called before he came and was right on time for the time we had requested. He was very friendly and performed the maintenance check in a timely manner. He answered all our questions. Pronto installed our new furnace and air conditioner 2 years ago and we feel very comfortable continuing to do service with them.

  • Everything went really well from the first contact and quote, to the installation and clean up.  The installers were very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable.  We found that we were able to get a better, higher rated unit for not much more with the August incentives they offered along with the rebates from the utility companies.  Their recommended product was of a much higher rating then the other two bids we received.  We have received follow up calls and an email requesting our input on how the installation went!  I would recommend this company over others I got bids from, especially since the other companies bid out their LOWER rated products, even when asked for something better. Kind of explains why our last Central Air unit, installed by a different company, only lasted 8 years and had numerous problems from the get go..

  • After determining that there was no gas pressure at the heater inlet, Will, of Aire-Serv of Eden Prairie traced all of the possible paths in the gas piping and discovered that the heater was serviced by an exterior gas pipe which had a shutoff valve that had become closed over the summer. I strongly suspect that my dog may have been the culprit, as the shutoff was near the ground and configured so that a paw could easily close the valve. This was not as easy to diagnose as one might expect due to multiple branches in the gas piping in difficult to access places. Will was very patient as he ruled out one after another possible problem until finding the closed shutoff valve.

  • they responded to every call, even on a sunday.  first person to my house did chimney cleaning.  I think he was a subcontractor to Twin Cities Furnace. I saw on his truck that they offered duct cleaning.  He did not pressure me into anything but did point out that  Twin Cities Furnace was having a sale on many services.  I bought and scheduled air duct cleaning.  The second people to my house showed up, worked fast, were very nice, done.  Will definetly use them again.

  • We call Pronto based on Angieslist reviews and personal recommendations of friends. We were able to schedule service on a saturday (called on Friday) - Sam was on time and very courteous. Diagnosed to be a capacitor issue - had the part on hand - fixed the issue right away. He also spent time investigating the overall functioning of the unit and gave recommendations/assessment. Also provided a rough estimate in case the unit gives trouble again and we consider replacement.  Overall, very impressed with service that I signed up for their annual tune-ups (2x per year- spring and fall) for a 2 year term.  Highly recommended.

  • Very smooth from start to finish. We purchased the "big deal" for 99.00 whole home duct cleaning. I guess there was some fine print that indicated the deal was only for a 2500 square foot home, so we were charged more because it was larger, so that was a little misleading, but not malicious.

    The service technician was extremely nice, and even pointed out where we had water in our utility room due to a frozen AC coil (clogged filter). They were very helpful, cleaned up, and I would not hesitate to recommend them again, though I'd suggest they make the size limitation on deals more evident to avoid confusion.
