  • **Summary before the long story**We were charged $118.00 for 10 minutes of checking and 2 aaa battery fix** Twin Ports Custom Climate did not *-inform*-troubleshoot*-return calls** My family recently switched to Superior Fuel for our propane and, when our furnace wouldn't turn on last week, we gave them a call. They, in turn, handed that service need onto Twin Ports Custom Climate. An appointment was made for a Monday service call but not once did TPCC get in touch with myself or my husband to confirm a time. I, myself, called and talked with the receptionist but never received a reciprocated call with when the service man, Chuck, would show up. During my call, I expressed that I would like to dialogue with Chuck FIRST in order to troubleshoot BEFORE he came out in case it was an easy fix. (We had not even turned on the furnace since we had transitioned to Superior Fuel last spring) We did not receive a call from Chuck until he was already on his way and even then he never left a voicemail and my husband didn't recognize the number. He came into the house and asked to see the furnace. My husband was not made aware that there would be a service fee and was told by Chuck, "IF there is a fee, don't worry it will be small." He then did some checking around and asked to see our thermostat. After a moment he asked my husband if we had a couple of AAA batteries, he popped them into the thermostat and the furnace started. He, then, presented my husband with a $118.00 fee. 10 minutes, our own aaa batteries, no attempt to troubleshoot prior to showing up (without notice), no prior disclosure of service fee amounts and policies. I have since spoken with Superior Fuel (they were very empathetic and said they would follow up with TPCC); I have called TPCC twice to attempt and discuss this and have not received any callbacks. I am VERY disappointed with this service. *Update* I sent this review to TPCC prior to posting it here in order to give them time to remedy the situation. They still did not call me back but I did receive an email from the owner, Chad, stating his reasons why it was not their fault. Needless to say, this is not a company that I recommend to anyone. • Called several times last year and then called again this year. Always got the business voicemail. Never received a call back. I don't think it is unreasonable to except a call back to either set up an appointment to give an estimate or a call to indicate that they are currently too busy to accept new projects.

  • Was very good. Jason's personality is definately one of his assets. He is hard working and so very nice and polite. They had one delay due to illness but overall project still completed in reasonable amount of time.

  • Initially the install went well, until a few days into the job…very poor seams, mismatched seams-carpet pattern running in two different directions.  Called the company owner, he came out to look at it and said he would take care of it and that was the last we saw of him.  Job still unfinished and  NO resolution, poor professionalism.

  • The crew of 3 guys arrived as scheduled at 8am and worked through 6 pm. The gas was not installed yet so Joe returned the next day, after it was hooked up, and started the boiler and did an inspection check. Everything went as planned, the workers were neat and efficient, and the boiler works good. I would recommend these guys. They did a good job.

  • Joe and his crew arrived exactly when they said they would, about 8am. They worked until about 6 pm to mostly finish the job. Since the gas was not yet ready to go online, Joe came back the next morning to do the initial start up and to make sure everything was working right. The guys were professional, neat, and completed the job as contracted. I am very happy with our new 95% efficient boiler.

  • the project went very good. the installers were there when they said they would be, they took care to put down plastic, informing me that they use plastic instead of canvas tarps because I had lead paint on my old windows and that would help reduce contamination. they did all of the windows and trim in two days like they said they would and then left my house cleaner than when they got there. I don't generally like having work done on my house because it inconveniences me, but I would go to work in the morning and come home to everything looking normal and clean. the siding took about a week to do and was not easy, my house is very crooked. when they were done it looked like a brand new house. they cleaned up outside as best they could because of the snow, and then two weeks ago I got a call from the installer saying they were coming out to clean up my yard more thouroughly. I am not a very easy person to please, but they did it. I love my windows and I love my siding. I am very impressed with Absalute. Thanks Bill!

  • it started out promising, the owner came out the same day I called for a bid and I had the bid in my hands two days later. the job finally came to start and he wanted to do it on saturday and sunday, saying it would be a two day job. right from the beginning he would show up and work a little while, always by himself, and then just disappear for 3 or 4 hours. he left the first day after having torn up the ground outside both my doors and just leaving a huge trench that I could barely get out of into my house. then didin't show up until sunday afternoon but managed to get the foam and backfill down outside my back door only, which was done very poorly. the foam was supposed to be tight to the foundation, and for the most part it was, except in a few spots where there was almost 2 inches between the foundation and the foam! this type of bahavior continued throughout the project, showing up randomly, not calling if he wasn't going to be there, and shoddy work. Part way through i realized that he was backfilling entirely with sand, no top soil at all! I told him this was unacceptable and he had to use top soil...on the top(imagine that). he charged me an extra 300 and some dollars for that, even though he said during the first visit that he was going to use sand underneath for drainage and then finish it with top soil/ Seriously, who wants a sand yard? so, my two day foundation insulating turned into almost three weeks and destruction, poor communication, and shoddy work. I am more than just a little disappointed. I don't recommend this company to anybody, ever.

  • Very timely answers to my questions. Her service is booked into December, so I'm still considering my options.
