Curt and his team were efficient with the install, it was done in a short afternoon and they cleaned up well afterwards. Curt came back later to do a final inspection and kindly showed me all the features on our new window. Through the whole process, everyone was confident, knowledgeable, and courteous. AAsbestos Abatement AssociatesWe recently had a radon mitigation system installed. When they ran the pipe for the radon fan out the side of the house they uncovered a pipe with asbestos that had previously been unreachable. I called AAA concerned and they were able to send someone to look at it the same day and completed the work that same week (I realize that might not always be possible). A small, quick job for $250, so I was very grateful they were able to squeeze us in and willing to take on the project. The first company I called was booked until April. I will call AAA first from here on on. They did great work and were all friendly and helpful.- LAURA & DAVID J.

AA1 Radon Services LLCWe used Angie’s List’s bidding tool for the first time, and requested bids from five companies. Andrew Costigan from A1 Radon got back to us first - immediately with an email bid. Given all of A1’s positive reviews, we felt comfortable with A1 doing the work even though we hadn’t met them yet and they hadn’t come onsite to check things out before bidding. The day of the work, Andrew and another fellow showed up exactly on time to do the work just as they emailed that they would. We have a finished basement and had been worried that they’d have to run the tubing in our family room, but Andrew said they could do the work pretty much anywhere given the footprint of our house. I pointed out a small spot under and behind the stairs where the wall went up with some other mechanicals inside. Andrew looked and said that worked and immediately got down to work in the small space. They were done within two hours, were responsive to my questions, made no mess at all, and put in a the system that looks pretty good to us. They seemed like friendly, good, experienced, trustworthy professionals. Since there had been a snow storm the night before, the electrician they contract with needed to reschedule to two days later (instead of coming on the same day), since the electrician had been plowing all night the night before. Andrew seemed very worried / apologetic about this when he told me, but it was not a big deal for us. Andrew handled all of the rescheduling, and the electrician seemed great and even did some additional impromptu work of putting in a new outlet that we asked him about on the off-chance he had the time or interest, and he charged us a fair price for that additional work. Again, professional and focused on doing good work. No mess. Overall, it was a great experience. And a great relief to have finally put in a radon mitigation system that we’d been considering for a while. We have not used the follow-up test that Andrew gave us yet, since we are supposed to let the system run a week first, but we’re hoping / assuming we will get below the 3.7 pci score we had on the multi-month test results we received back immediately before purchasing this system.- Jennifer W.

AA1 Radon Services LLCI was super happy with the end result. Andrew and his crew came out in a timely fashion and they did an excellent job, they put the pipe in a convenient place in our cramped basement, and it looks good on the outside of the house as well. He readily responded to every email in a timely fashion and I was very happy with the price and everything about it!! When it comes down to life or death, which can happen with radon gas, for peace of mind you definitely can't go wrong with with A1.- Tina L.

ADone Right Carpet & RestorationWithin 2 hours John was there with a helper ready to work. In just a few hours he ripped out the soggy ceiling, checked the walls for damage and pulled out carpet and padding, hauled all that away then brought in at least 7 power blowers and commercial dehumidifier to dry out my living room. My wife and I ended up talking to Richard who was very responsive and knowledgeable, answering all our crazy questions and calming the storm. He gave us all our options and explained everything in detail. I really appreciated the time he took with us on a Friday afternoon and having patience with us. He did not ask us anything for his time and effort. AI purchased a condo that needed extensive mold remediation in the bathroom and laundry room. A previous owner had put a screw into the waste pipe which eventually burst and had been leaking for some time. Also, the water heater had failed and left water on the floor. There was water intrusion from 2 windows and the roof as well. This work was paid for by a third party payer, and Capital City is obviously very experienced in handling that aspect. Capital City handled my project smoothly from start to finish, starting with my first phone call. The company and the project manager (Joe) set very high standards for the crew's work. The mold removal process was quick and precise. They removed all damaged materials in a safe manner, based on the mold inspector's recommendations. They used high grade surface treatment products to prevent mold return. The reconstruction portion was done extremely well. I am so happy with my new bathroom and laundry room - they are the best rooms in the place now! The crew were excellent to work with and very knowledgeable. Matt is a gem. It is not worth hiring anyone else except Capital City for mold remediation and reconstruction. They are the only way to go, given their excellent customer service, expertise and ability to handle difficult projects.

AWe choice Certified because some of the other mold places seemed to lean on fear tactics, and the Certified website had a lot of good factual information. We were so happy we did! Ben came out and did a thorough inspection. He even took the time to check the bathrooms, which wasn't on the original request. He was excellent at answering my questions and explaining what he was doing, and gave us a lot of great advice on handling the mold that was there and how to prevent mold in a few other high risk places. And he followed up with links and more information the next week when the final test results came in. We are recommending them to friends from now on.

AThe work was done on Tuesday, November 17th, 2020. Some equipment was left to dry out the area prior to sealing the floor. On Thursday, November 19th, 2020, someone came out to finish the job. However, some equipment was left behind and I called to have someone come and pick it up. No one came out and I had the equipment in my dining room area for Thanksgiving. To date, Wednesday, December 9th, still no one has picked up the equipment. Could you please send someone out to pick it up? I would like it removed before Christmas. Other than that, a good job was done.
