  • I’ve had a chance to visit couple local and out of state tailors before moving. Nothing has compared to the experience, education and tailoring that Helen has provided me at this small family business. I had originally purchased a bridesmaid dress from David’s Bridal and I thought it was made to measure. Unfortunately the straps were too big, I needed some bust cups placed in and to get it shortened. The downside was the wedding was also out of state and I needed it in a couple days. With Prom season at the moment for these professional tailors I knew it would be tough to get in since David’s Bridal takes up to 2 months. I called Helen, she told me about what she could do and rush the dress for me. This family truly works around the clock for you. I came in way beyond after hours on a week day and she had it ready for me Wednesday Morning before I flew out. So grateful to have tailor near me that’s so professional and kind. Thank you so much!

  • Our entire condo association has some damages to the exterior of our condos. I contacted my insurance company about helping with the deductible. They said they will pay up to $10,000, and said I had no deductible and asked if I wanted a check or and electronic deposit. Six days later, the check was in the bank. it was the first time I've been happy to deal with an insurance company.

  • I had to call him after a month of no contact. I was told that the part shipped had something wrong with it, and that I should be patient. 2 months later, I had to call again. Apparently, the part "just arrived last week" (yeah, right), and he had other customers to get to and forgot about my work (just what a customer wants to hear). The only time they actually called me was to say the TV was ready. When I drove out there, I saw a note on the door saying they were gone for 90 minutes. Would have been nice to know that before I left. When we finally got our TV back after 3 months, it blinked out again in 20 minutes. All in all, not a positive experience.

  • I have never had my hair colored before and brought pictures of styles that I liked. I particularly liked a picture of an ombre style and showed it to the stylist. We discussed applying this style to my hair, with my natural dark hair on top, fading gradually to lighter hair on the ends. The stylist assured me this could be done as I described. There was no guidance about hair styles that work best with this color or the line in color that I found when I first styled my hair following the color. I’ve since been told that this coloring technique does not work well with straight hair, which is my typical style. My hair did not turn out as we discussed. Upon drying my hair, the stylist curled my hair prior to showing me the results. This isn’t how I wear my hair but isn’t entirely unusual as stylists often add curl or style after a cut. My hair looked very nice with the curls but I came to find later that the curls gave it a much different appearance. When I washed my hair the next day, there was a very obvious line in the middle of my hair with dark on the top and light on the bottom. There was no gradual fade or blending. I called the salon and they told me they would help fix the problem. I went in and the owner, Kris, told me she could try another color to help better blend my hair. At this point, I was concerned with a style that looked so different from what was discussed and did not want to experiment with different colors. Instead, I asked Kris to dye my hair back to its natural color. I am thankful that it now looks as it did before I had the initial coloring done. I asked afterwards for a refund or discount on the initial price given that I had paid more than $100 for a service I did not receive as discussed. Kris declined. She said the stylist who did my hair, Kelly, should have consulted with me to ensure I understood there would be a dramatic line in my hair and that this style works best for hair that is curled. Unfortunately, this conversation did not happen with the stylist or I would not have proceeded. Kris further said that she was told I liked my hair when I left the salon initially. I agree that I was happy with the curled style but was not aware of the significant line in color until I styled in my typical fashion.

  • Most went well. If I had the time, I would have been able to do the work myself. I was hoping for a little more professional job as far as the waist band area. I will not be able to wear these pants tucked in. Properly, the waist band should have been removed, side and back seams adjusted and then waist band adjusted to the new waist size. This would have been more expensive, but generally gives a better fit overall. That said, if someone is limited on time, or doesn't have the knowledge to do the job, it was well worth it.

  • Perfect. I bought my mom a bracelet as a birthday gift at the state fair and the first day she wore it, the pin used to make the bracelet bigger fell out. I had taken to another reputable jeweler TWICE to have the pin put back in the bracelet, when I finally decided I needed to go somewhere else. I was so impressed as Buchkosky also found another pin that was loose in the bracelet AND he checked my bracelet which was the same as mom's for free to make sure I didn't have any loose pins.

  • Rob and Ben were wonderful. Listened to my requests and concerns for an installation without cutting into walls or ceilings unless really necessary. They explained carefully and completely how they would proceed to determine if the connections could be added to all the rooms I desired and with little or no extra holes in the rooms. They were able to successfully install all 5 connections with only one additional connection plate in one room where it was needed. They thoroughly tested each connection. Then when all passed their testing, they had me test to my satisfaction. All connections worked completely and very well. They even helped me get Netflix working on my smart TV since it now has its own ethernet connection. I am so pleased with their professionalism in listening to my needs and concerns, explaining well so I could understand what they would do and doing it all very well and cleaned up completely after they were done. I would recommend them with the highest ratings on this list. I am sure they would be as professional and do the job well in any of the services listed on their web site.
