    CHEUNG'S TAILOR ALTERATION
Ive had a chance to visit couple local and out of state tailors before moving. Nothing has compared to the experience, education and tailoring that Helen has provided me at this small family business. I had originally purchased a bridesmaid dress from Davids Bridal and I thought it was made to measure. Unfortunately the straps were too big, I needed some bust cups placed in and to get it shortened. The downside was the wedding was also out of state and I needed it in a couple days. With Prom season at the moment for these professional tailors I knew it would be tough to get in since Davids Bridal takes up to 2 months. I called Helen, she told me about what she could do and rush the dress for me. This family truly works around the clock for you. I came in way beyond after hours on a week day and she had it ready for me Wednesday Morning before I flew out. So grateful to have tailor near me thats so professional and kind. Thank you so much!

    CHEUNG'S TAILOR ALTERATION
Most went well. If I had the time, I would have been able to do the work myself. I was hoping for a little more professional job as far as the waist band area. I will not be able to wear these pants tucked in. Properly, the waist band should have been removed, side and back seams adjusted and then waist band adjusted to the new waist size. This would have been more expensive, but generally gives a better fit overall. That said, if someone is limited on time, or doesn't have the knowledge to do the job, it was well worth it.

Went well. I would like the shop to open slightly later (like 7 PM on weekdays and 6 PM on Saturday,) though. Right now it's 6 PM M-F, and only 3PM on Saturday (which I missed when I came to pick up.) The shop did not call me to say "I am closing soon, so if this is very important to pick up, please come before 3PM.""

    TONYA GORELIK
You could tell that Tonya has been doing this a long time. With the scare my daughter had, we left Tonya's home 20 minutes later felling everything was back in control and in the right hands.
EXCELLENT work and service. Too bad she doesn't do zippers!

    Amazing Alterations
I had good vibes about brenda on the phone and in person. I wanted her to construct three or four simples items. I brought them to her in October/November of 2009 hoping they would be done by the following summer. I heard alot of excuses and I realized that my project didn't have the importance in deadline that her other jobs did. I was not a priority to her at all. A whole year later, I called her about them to see if I could have them to wear this summer and she said, "Oh sure, when do you want them." I said the end of january and she said mid january, I said the end would be fine. I wanted her to construct some shorts that I planned to wear to my job. I called her at the end of January, they were not done. Two weeks later, I called her back and they were finished. I picked them up right away. I got to her house, I decided I should put them on. They didn't feel right or fit right despite having left her a pattern to use. She informed, she subbed them out for someone else t odo because she was busy. She said she had written out details but I was very dissastistfied. They were too baggy and fit weird in the front. I had been patiently waiting for HER to make them because she was very conscientious. Instead, I learned she had someone else construct them. She was apologized. She said I shouldn't charge you at all but did. she didn't charge much but she. I was there two and a half hours while she had me try them all on while she pinned them and adjusted them. There were no stitches through the elastic waistband so it did not gather like it should. Someone else came there while I was there to be fitted for a dress and I went out to get some air and when I came back, she devoted her focus to the other person. I felt like my job did not matter. She is a nice person but I cannot recommend her. She said after I asked her to do this, she had taken on three bridal salons and a dance studio. She let me know it would be no problem to get my shorts done by the first summer and even after giving her until the next summer they still weren't done correctly.

    FASHION FIXX ALTERATIONS
I had 3 visits to Fashion Fixx and each time I was impressed with the quality of their work and the SPEED! My previous alterations person would take 2+ weeks. I have had all my alterations at Fashion Fixx in less than a week, some the next day, and the grill cover was done on athe spot. The sewing ladies are friendly and knowledgable. I appreciated the suggestions made on a vintage suede jacket. It needed some delicate work and turned out great. I will continue to go back when I need any textile work done.

    CHEUNG'S TAILOR ALTERATION
Greeted very politely. I brought in my winter parka to replace a zipper that was faulty. The item is to be picked up in one week. The only drawbacks are that they do not take any credit cards or checks. They deal only in cash and it must be up front before item is done.

    John's Tailors
When I brought my items in for alterations, I had an idea of what I thought needed to be done. After taking a look, he gave his professional opinion, which was different than mine. I took his advice and am very pleased with the result. I believe he really has a tailor's eye. The clothing items looked great; work was cleanly done. Very professional, and good service. A bit expensive, but my impression is they can be trusted to do things right.
