We did not hire the least expensive, we wanted someone we felt good to hire! Not disappointed. The work was performed in a great time frame, ahead of schedule. They took time to explain what work was going to be done and what to expect. All workers were very respectful and professional! I felt very good about how they listened to my ideas and concerns. The end result was so good, we hired them again for some interior finishing trim work. They cleaned up after the job better than it was when they arrived. And the salesman called after they were done to be sure I was happy! And Yes! So Happy!

    Exterior Pro
I hired ExteriorPro, 3622 SE 30th Street, Suite 2, St. Cloud, MN 56304 to install new siding, fascia and soffit on my home. Their bid was generally in keeping with three other bids I had received, although not as high as one other bid. Josh Helberg was able to show me the kind of siding, color, and style I wanted. They ordered the materials, and began work on time. I was so pleased with the result I decided to also do the garage, and as the additional materials arrived they were diligent in completing the job. I found Josh and Jose to be pleasant to work with, respectful, and hard working, and I am very pleased with the finished product. Clean up following installation was well done. I recommend them without reservation.

We received a quote on reroofing our home from DPS. We were happy with the quote so we moved forward. At this point we were told that they could help us get our insurance to cover more of the costs than the insurance company originally offered for the storm damage we sustained. We found out later that DPS was planning to quote the job higher to our insurance company than they had to us. This troubled us, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt because we really needed the roof fixed soon.  At this point they had an employee come out to our home to cover the damaged areas, he spent about 10 minutes on our roof placing two tarps.  After this happened, over the phone I was told that the standard industry cost for this  service was $250 but that they were going to bill our insurance $800 to try to get us more money to cover the costs.  We felt that this along with their earlier change of price were setting an unethical standard and began looking for a way to roof our home ourselves.  We had some friends offer to come and help us roof our home so that is the way we went.

After, we asked DPS to stop talking to our insurance company because we were going another way, they contacted them at least one more time on our behalf and one other time with the bill, still for $900, even though they told us the standard was $250, and settled on $600.

We have paid our bill, even though our numerous requests for a detailed invoice was denied.

There were issues with professionalism and timeliness, given that we were working against a deadline set by the homeowner's insurance, who had required the roof replacement to continue coverage. But the primary issues were that he removed our gutters and threw them away, without our express permission and not intending to replace them, and that it was through this that we learned he is unlicensed and did the work without a permit from the city.

After purchasing our house we discovered that the roof accumulated ice dams up to 3 feet high in places. Water had started backing up under the shingles and dripping through the ceiling. Half the house has a lovely tongue-and-groove wood cathedral ceiling which we did not want to lose. We determined that there was lots of insulation but no ventilation at all between the cathedral ceiling and the roof deck. Brad let us know at the outset that roofing wasn't his specialty but he was able to see what needed to be done and devised a way to install ventilation without changing the pitch or height of the roof or the interior ceiling. He tore off the old decking and installed insulated foam board so there was a 2" air channel between each joist from the roof vents under the eaves all the way up to the vent at the peak. He then covered that entire half of the roof with ice and water shield, re-decked it with 1/2" CDX plywood, and shingled the entire roof. Brad and his men worked quickly, did a good job, and charged reasonably. The lovely wooden ceiling was saved and there has never been an ice dam since.
