    Pop A Lock
The service was performed. 4 deadbolts and 3 door locks were rekeyed. My complaint is the knobs now wobble after the service was completed. The tumblers were installed in all kinds of different directions.

    Quality Locksmith Service Inc

When I called I expected to schedule a service call for the coming week, but the gentleman who answered the phone (the owner of the company) asked me a few diagnostic questions and walked me through a bit of troubleshooting involving the application of WD-40 in a specific way into the lock. He completely solved the problem with a five minute phone call. I offered to send them a check for their time, but he declined and gave me some advice for maintaining my locksets.

I am extremely impressed that they would help me fix the problem so quickly at no charge rather than schedule a service call and charge me. I will definitely use Quality Locksmith Service in the future when I have any lock-related needs! Thank you!

    Holt Lock & Key
Wonderful experience with great customer service and quality work.  He scheduled me quickly and arrived on time.  Clearly very knowledgable, was able to remove the old broken lock in minutes.  Very friendly and efficient.  Will definitely call again if need a locksmith again.

    Vero Key Service
I called several lockout and locksmith services asking for a firm quote on what the service would cost to retrieve the keys from my locked car. On being told they do not quote prices, I called Vero. Vero gave me a quote. The rate quoted - explicitly - was $25 dollars for the trip fee and $30 to enter the vehicle - $55 total. When the service arrived, after performing the service, they required $180 payment. When questioned over the phone, they refused to negotiate the charge. I would recommend any other service. Do not use this company.

    Pop A Lock
We had moved to a foreclosed home. The bedrooms in this house had locks and we never got the keys. On the very first day, our daughter mistakenly locked herself out of her bedroom. Based on Angie?s list, we selected the top name, Pop-A-Lock. The lady who answered the phone quoted a price of $100 to open the lock. The price seemed high, but I agreed as we were moving in on that day and we were extremely busy. In about 10 minutes the lady called back again saying that the price was actually $130. I was lifting boxes at that time and did not want to look up the names of other locksmiths. I said fine, send someone in. In about 10 minutes later, someone else from Pop-a-Lock called to get my credit card number. In another five minutes the man called again to get the expiry date of the card. Four calls to set up an appointment! It frustrated us to get three calls from the locksmith on the day that we were moving in and lifting boxes and furniture. Anyway, the service person arrived on time and in about 10 seconds opened the lock. He was polite and knowledgeable. I asked him about rekeying the locks. He told me that each lock will cost $60 to rekey. This house has 6 bedrooms, each with locks, one front door, one door from the garage, two separate side doors to the garage, and one door with lock to the basement. At least 11 doors needed to be rekeyed! He said if the key of one door matches with the others, then the cost will be $15 per lock. We knew for sure the front door and the door from the garage had separate keys. We already had those keys. The gentleman was nice to advise that we should replace the front door keys as no one knows how many keys are floating around for this foreclosed home. As the prices quoted by Pop-A-Lock seemed pretty high, we were unsure to use their service. Next day, I got a call from Pop-A-Lock if we wanted to replace the keys. I told them that we are thinking about it. He politely told me that he will take me off their to-call list if they do not hear from me in two days. Within the next two days, I went to Menards, about a mile from our home. We got brand new Schalage locks for $22 to $27 a piece. Menard rekeyed all the locks for free. Yes, for free. Installing these new locks was pretty easy and quick (less than 10 minutes each). Even my daughter learned how to install locks. I think she learned her lesson well. Since two days passed, I thought that we will not hear from Pop-A-Lock again. I must be on their do-not-call list. In two weeks, I got another call from them. I believe they were genuinely trying to protect our safety. However, the cost seemed too high. The gentleman who visited us did not even inform us the option of buying brand new locks at much lower cost than rekeying the old locks. If we get locked out again, we will call someone else.

UPDATE: Pop-A-Lock issued a refund, which was bigger than 10% (written by the owner in the response below). Based on the price that we paid now, I have upgraded the rating to B. The price quoted for rekeying was clearly $60 for the first lock, and $15 for others if only the keys matched. BTW, we did install Grade 2 electronic locks on the front doors. Thanks for the professional advice. As I had mentioned, your concerns about our safety was genuine, and you really wanted to help us. The rating is soley based on the price paid for the work done, and price verbally quoted for work that we did not pursue. This low rating does not reflect your quality, which was excellent.

    Minneapolis Lock & Key
Called company to rekey 2 locks in a house we just moved into. He made 12 keys for us as well. The guy came out fast, was friendly and did a good job as we have had no issues with the work. I'd call them again.

    Floyd Total Security
There were some recent break-ins in our neighborhood. We have a brand new home and were concerned about the locks. Floyd's came out at 7am to meet with us. Said that all our locks were really good, and not needing replacement. Very nice, honest guy. We appreciated that they didn't say we needed all new locks just because we were uncomfortable with recent neighborhood activity; which we were more than prepared to do. We would definitely call Floyd's again. Two different neighbors have used them for their security system and recommended them as well.
