Concrete Repair reviews in Apple Valley

Had this company out a few years ago to fix the foundation of a new home we just purchased. They did a great job (We think) Only time will tell I guess! We decided to use them this summer again to lay a concrete colored, glossed, and stamped patio because we thought we trusted them! They started and finished on multiple days while it was raining. Should of been 1st red flag but we didnt know. They poured the concrete on 2 separate days and this should of been 2nd red flag! Therefore we have 2 different colored patios. We called around to other concrete people and they said they should of never started while raining and in order for the patio to be the same color its a must it should of been poured the same day! Mark then tried to say that by next summer it will all be the same color??? I dont know how the lighter color was going to magically get darker but those are his words!!! Once we noticed it was 2 different colors we really started looking at the stamping! The stamping was absolutely HORRIBLE! It was uneven, the lines were crooked across the entire patio, and this is a massive patio(900 square feet) going across the back of my entire house. They left spots of sharp rigid concrete that would cut myself and families feet. Mark then is calling us because we havent paid him yet. Thank God we didnt. Mark comes over and I explain my concerns. He wont take ownership of the patio looking like a DIY patio. He gets defensive. He wants to know what we want to do. 1st we offered him half for a half *** patio laying job. He declined and said he would redo it. I told him I wanted a contract and this contractor Mark told me to write it up and he will sign it? Huh? Your the contractor? He then writes a contract and it says on there we will rip the patio up because the homeowners do not like it and haul all concrete away for free as if he is doing us a favor??? Again never taking ownership of their multiple errors! I am talking hundreds of errors!!!! I get we are human and an error or two here and there will happen! The mistakes were everywhere! But We decided to give him a second chance and have him rip it up and place another. He comes over and rips it up. He is now demanding a contract stating that the concrete will heave and crack and he will not be responsible for it. We already dont trust the guy after his last job placing the patio. He wanted $13,800 for a job that was horrible! Did I mention that part of the patio wasnt even glossed??? We told him we decided to go with another company. Would never recommend them! If they did your stamping for a patio, I would really go look at it!!! Better Business Bureau here we come!!!!

    Aurora Asphalt & Concrete
Called Aurora concrete and they gave me a bid on March 26th for a walkway and steps. At that time I let them know that I needed to get my home on the market by the middle of May. He let me know that there were road restrictions and as soon as they were lifted they would start the project. They lifted the restrictions around middle of May. I did not receive a phone call I had to find out myself. I asked if they would put me on there schedule and he said that he wouldnt be able to do that but that it was a 2 day job and it would be done after Memorial Day. On Tuesday no one showed up and no phone call on when they were coming so I called them and left a message. On Wednesday afternoon I received a call from Nikki and said we were going to call you to let you know we are going to do your project next Wednesday June 6th depending on the weather. I let them know that I was in a contract and that I was now in breach of and could they come on Monday. She said no and wanted to end the call. I let her know that I understood that I was not a priority but I needed them to understand my situation and that I had made a deposit back in march so that I could try to avoid these delays and not get pushed down on their schedule. They were not sympathetic nor very friendly. In fact Nikki was pretty rude and let me know that my estimator would call me if I liked and I replied yes. So Josh Miller calls me and lets me know that they are sending me back my deposit and said they were not going to do the job that I had waited 2 months for. This company wanted to stick it to me. Please beware of their business practices and that they over promise and under deliver. I spoke to another concrete company and they said that this should never had happened and that places like this give them a bad name. I am a realtor and will let as many people know of this company and my husband is an attorney and we are now looking to sue for damages. BEWARE.....

    Asphalt Specialties Co
I had a concrete driveway installed. The concrete broke in two places. They did a cheep repair that did not hold. Because of the cheep repair, the patches came out and three more pieces broke off. Then they did a saw cut and shoved some cheep silicone into the saw cut. The silicone has already worked its way out. Then without my permission they put some non concrete patch in the five holes. Then they painted the patches and they do not match the driveway. Sections of my driveway should be replaced and real expansion material should be installed. Peterson will not do the right thing. This winter (2015-2016) a small sixth piece broke off. The expansion material they did install between my front steps and sidewalk has disintegrated. A corner piece at the end of my driveway has also broke in pieces. I paid a lot for my driveway and it looks a lot worse than the cheeper driveways installed in my neighborhood.

    Jaeckels Concrete Inc
Sunroom was jacked up to proper level so existing footings could be removed and replaced with reinforced footings connected to the posts so they could not shift. Workers were friendly and efficient and were guided professionally by Keith to assure a perfect result. Job was completed on time with no lawn damage. They really did go above and beyond expectations and explained in terms we could understand. Have already referred a few jobs and would definitely use them for all concrete needs.

    Hardline Concrete & Masonry
It went great. The Hardline team was very responsive, and was able to get an inspection/estimate appointment on our calendar within a very reasonable amount of time. The bid came in, and we were able to get a start date for the project in a similarly reasonable amount of time, especially give the busy summer season. Had we been ready, Hardline would have started work a day or two early, but due to a delay on my end, they started on time, and finished on time. Project looks great and we couldn't be happier.

    North Central Zone Garage LLC
North Central Zone Garage exceeded our expectations. The were prompt, professional, and kept the work area very clean. Their pricing was very fair and after watching them work all day and seeing the finished product, I feel like it was a very good value. I highly recommend them. This isn't the cheapest fix we could have done, but we believe that since it was done right that it will last another 40 years.

    Md Concrete LLC
Working with MD Concrete was great. They were very punctual to the estimate and we were able to walk the property and get a quote very fast. Scheduling with them was also a breeze. They worked to get our project done early in the season which we appreciated. The day of, the crew came out and took a couple of hours to cut out the old concrete. Then they came and poured the next nice day. Everyone was very friendly and personal. Afterwards, they had a crew stay behind and do any last minute touch up work. They even were very gracious to me after I stepped into the wet concrete apron (whoops). Don't use a cell phone while walking around wet cement folks... All in all, I would use them again if I had a future concrete need. Super easy to work with, very reasonably priced, and very courteous and professional. We love our new patio and sidewalk apron.

    Devine Design Hardscapes
They did a really good job. Part of the problem that destroyed the original patio was tree roots, they removed the tree roots and put in the new patio. They also tilted it so when it rains the water doesn't come up to the house, it goes out to the yard. I am really happy with my new patio, it is really pretty. I have even had neighbors comment on it and I've given them Devine Designs information so they can have theirs done as well.
