Basement Waterproofing reviews in Apple Valley

    Gardner Construction Inc
For 9 years we've had intermittent problems with water in basement, mostly only after heavy rain and/or snow melt. Spring/Summer of 2014 was the last straw. Got several estimates for drain tile/sump system. Gardner's was not the cheapest, but was very much in line with most other bids. The other contractor I was considering was booked out to June of 2015, and we didn't want to wait for the spring thaw. Gardner's was available in early March, so I chose them for the work.
Before hand I had to remove a lot of shelving and some carpeting, but Jerry's crew did move the washer, dryer, and wash basin. As agreed, I had to move those back after the new concrete cured.
Work was estimated to take a day and a half, but Jerry had extra help available and called out reinforcements. The crew got the entire job done in about 7 hours. As expected there was a certain amount of dust and debris to clean up, but very very little. They did as neat and clean a job as we expected and better.
I have waited to write this review until I could determine that the system was working. Since the spring was not unusually wet (like the previous year) I don't think the pump had to run at all until a very heavy rain on July 6. Then I could hear the water draining into the sump basin, and the pump was moving it out. So far the basement has remained bone dry.
With the slope on the property we've only ever had water problems at the back side of the basement, hence Jerry and I thought we could get by with a partial drain tile job. If we ever do get seepage in the front half I will definitely have Jerry and his crew back to do the remaining perimeter, and he assures me it will be no problem to tie into the existing system without having to install another basin and pump.
Very happy with the work. Jerry explained everything to my satisfaction and his crew was very efficient and friendly. Thanks Jerry, and the same to your crew as well!

Mark came out on time and gave us an estimate for concrete work in our basement. He left the estimate on the spot and patiently waited for our answer. We decided not to use him, but might in the future.

Over time I was having water in my basement that was coming through the block foundation walls.  It caused damage to my drywall and carpet.  I did the tear out myself but wanted to make sure I would not get further water damage going forward.

I got two estimates for the same scope of work.  Standard Water's was about $1,000 less than the other.  Based on the price and the positive reviews, I hired them to do the work.  They spelled exactly how it would go and they performed the work as they promised. The job was done over two days.  The first day they used a jackhammer to dig a trench along the inside of my exterior wall, installed the drain tile and rock in the trench.  They installed a sump pump under my basement stairs and ran the discharge to the outside in the agreed upon spot.  The next business day a different crew came and repaired the cement floor.  The first day the sump pump motor did not work when tested, so the 2nd crew replaced it.  Both crews did an excellent job of hanging poly to protect from the dust and debris and then cleaning up when finished.  Overall, I was pleased with the job and the professionalism of everyone I dealt with at Standard Water.

Called for an estimate on Thursday and Eric arrived Friday. Gave us a detailed description of what our options were. We decided to do the most complete option, including adding a sump pump. Five workers arrived early the following Monday, and were done before noon. They also repaired the landscaping on the exterior, which we thought we would have to do ourselves. Pleasantly surprised. We were concerned about getting the work done before the ground froze, so were delighted they could get it done when they did.

Removed the concrete over a section of interior foundation, repaired drain system, and replaced concrete.  They were fast, and the work area was completely clean when they were finished.

It seemed to go fine.  I was not there when they did the work because it is a rental property I own. They finished earlier than expected.  No problems so far.

They told me what the problem was over the phone and were able to recommend using a landscaping company to fix the slope of my yard. They were very honest in suggesting the type of work needed.
